Chapter 7: Memory Loss (2)

"You don't have to worry. The one your looking for was the one who was hunting me." Fang Teng Fei said as they both looked to him.

"You know him?" Liu Fu Juan wondered looking to Fang Teng Fei. She now had his full attention since he knew the answer to her question.

"He is the one causing chaos to the Luan Kingdom I live in. He has been causing a ruckus for the emperor." Fang Teng Fei said as he looked to Liu Fu Juan looking to him. He had moved closer to her as they met each other's eyes.

*Cough*

They turned back to see Liu Feng still there as he was hoping he wasn't 'disturbing' them. Liu Fu Juan backed up leaving some spaces between her and Fang Teng Fei.

"Since we are all on the same sides then we will allow you into our kingdom but you must be sure to be prepared for our emperor." Liu Feng said as he led the way for them all to meet their emperor and Liu Fu Juan and Liu Feng's father.

They followed after as Liu Fu Juan suddenly felt her heart uneasy about how her father was going to feel about him. Fang Teng Fei could sense a feeling of uneasiness from Liu Fu Juan. His body reacted holding onto Liu Fu Juan's hand as he couldn't believe it himself.

Both stared again to one another as their hands intertwined with one another. "..." He didn't say anything as he was still holding her hand.

"Is something the matter?" She asked him. He released her hand as they had reached Qiliang Kingdom. The guards turned to hold their spears near Fang Teng Fei as he didn't flinch in fear but looked to them making the hair on their backs perk up.

"Leave him be. He is with us. We need some answers from him personally." Liu Feng said but they hadn't moved their weapons.

"We can't until the emperor gives us the order or unless he has the seal of entry." The guards said. Liu Feng sighed knowing now that it had been like that for the longest time due to the incident.

"You mean this?" Fang Teng Fei took out a seal of entry with the Qiliang's lion symbol. Officially from the Qiliang emperor himself. They gasped bowing down to see that they had made a simple mistake that could kill them.

"We apologize from our rudeness!" The guards said as they walked along into the Qiliang Kingdom. Fang Teng Fei hadn't remembered anything about the seal as he walked behind Liu Fu Juan and Liu Feng.

Everyone they passed by had bowed to the princess and prince of Qiliang. Fang Teng Fei had not known what he had just gotten himself into following after them. Entering, the palace doors opened allowing the three of them in to see that everyone was waiting.

"Fu Juan, where did you go this time? You even had your parents worry for you." Xue Liang went to her daughter holding her hands.

"Mother, I'm okay. I found someone who says he is after the same man as us." She said to her mother. Xue Liang's eyebrows furrowed then looking to the man behind her daughter.

"Are you the one they are talking about?" Xue Liang said to the boy who had such red cold eyes. He only nodded to her response.

"I'm sorry mother. He doesn't really talk... much." Liu Fu Juan spoke for him. Xue Liang smiled seeing that her daughter was actually showing some kind of aura that was out of the ordinary.

"It's fine. Your father wants to meet him. Follow me." Xue Liang had them follow her to the throne room. The three stayed below the steps as Xue Liang walked up taking hold of Liu Gang's hand. Liu Gang looked down seeing his two children but of course he also knew the young man. Peng Lim and Su Rong remained at the side along with Xue Yahui and Xue Li.

"It's been a long time Teng Fei. You've grown up well over the past eight years." Liu Gang looked down seeing Fang Teng Fei. Fang Teng Fei looked to Liu Gang wondering how the Qiliang emperor knew his name.

"I'm sorry to tell you but I've lost my memories once I turned eighteen. I do apologize. I only remember waking up in Luan Kingdom. I am Luan Kingdom's General." Fang Teng Fei bowed in apology to Liu Gang.

"No need to apologize. Who can be angry at the man who saved my daughter." Liu Gang said. Fang Teng Fei had his eyes surprised open as he still had no recollection of saving Liu Fu Juan. He looked to her as she turned her gaze away from him. He had a slight annoyance in his head that she would turn her gaze away.

"Father, we came across Ye Yao Chuan." Liu Fu Juan decided to bring the main topic back. Liu Gang looked to his daughter below.

"How do you know it is him?" He questioned.

"He had brown eyes and an amulet with a sun symbol." Liu Fu Juan said. Xue Liang sighed knowing it was getting closer and closer.

"Gang, it's getting closer and closer. We must prepare for the worst. He is about the same age as Feng now. We have to be cautious at all times." Xue Liang said looking up to Liu Gang with her eyes shaking.

"Then I suppose I have a proposal to ask of General Teng Fei." Everyone in the room looked to their emperor.

"What does Qiliang's emperor wish from me?" Fang Teng Fei knelt on one knee and held his arm across his chest to hear the request.

"I wish to have the Luan Kingdom work together with us. Have their assistance as well as having to look for Ye Yao Chuan." Liu Gang said as they had only traded with the Luan Kingdom but never had them work together.
