Chapter 6: Memory Loss (1)
"Teng Fei?" She said as he looked to her. He questioned in his head now and decided to ask.
"How do you know me?" Fang Teng Fei asked her as the footsteps got closer. She could smell his own blood within his own veins which ran close to her senses. Taking a hold of his hand as she sensed a dark aura coming.
She had him pinned against the cave rock walls. He was a little surprised by the sudden move as he looked down on the small woman who had pinned him. Hiding in the dark area of the cave. They both saw men all around wearing dark black suits matching the background of the night.
An individual looked rather more outlooking as she saw his brown eyes. He had an emblem with a symbol of a sun as she remembered her mother's words. Fang Teng Fei hissed feeling the pain as he was bleeding out. The men heard him hissing which caught them by surprise. Liu Fu Juan worried as she couldn't do anything but her mind and body went on it's own.
Fang Teng Fei hissed but felt something warm on his lips as he looked to see the young woman had kissed him. He'd never allowed anyone to touch him but he rather wanted more from this woman. Oddly, feeling his wounds healing by her simple and easy kiss.
Pinning her now against the cave wall, she was a little surprised by his action as he pinned her hands against the cave wall also. Feeling his tongue go past her lips, she was a little more surprised as her eyes shut close along with his. She couldn't move anyway since they either continued to stay like that or get caught.
"There's no one here. Let's go!" The man commanded everyone as they left.
Although they had left, Liu Fu Juan was still being kissed by Fang Teng Fei. Trying to separate as she was getting breathless. He soon enough separated, both breathed heavily looking each other in the eyes.
Liu Fu Juan didn't even know how to react or know what to say. She didn't hate it or like it at the same time. She was in utter shock that she would actually kiss him.
"Who are you?" He asked her. She came back to her senses as she couldn't believe he would forget.
"Liu Fu Juan." She said to him. He showed no recollection of anything to her. She looked to him in disbelief that he would not remember her or their promise. "Do you really not remember?" She asked him.
"..." He said nothing as she clearly knew it was him. His behavior, attitude, and looks were all the same.
"Why were they chasing you?" She decided to change the topic to make it easier. Fang Teng Fei looked to her and saw no schemes behind her. Although, only feeling the need to tell her everything and follow her, feeling his heart burst with needs to keep her. "If you won't tell me then that's fine. I'll be leaving then." She said as he kept his hands pinning hers back.
"Have we met before?" He asked gazing down to her.
"En, we did but it may be pointless now." She then looked to see that some of his wounds had healed. "How did your wounds heal so fast?" She questioned looking to him as her eyebrows narrowed with uncertainty.
He released her and looked away. "I don't remember anything after I turned... eighteen. I awoke not remembering anything but having this amber necklace." Taking out Liu Fu Juan's necklace she gasped seeing that he had it. She didn't want to say anything about it as she kept her mouth shut.
"Don't you recall anything at all?" She questioned him even more. He only shook his head 'no'. "Where did you come from?" She asked him as he looked to her.
"I'm a General from Luan Kingdom." Fang Teng Fei said. Just then, Liu Fu Juan's head perked up as her Kingdom was on good terms with his.
"Come with me to my kingdom, Qiliang Kingdom. I can probably get you to stay there for safe reasons." Looking to him for some answer. Grabbing his sword that had fallen, only nodding to her response. Following her out of the cave, they walked together as they were in the same rhythm.
There had been a tug for her to hold his hand like back then but not wanting to alarm him. She remained to herself to not have him more confused than he already was. Looking to him, his wounds had all healed and nothing let bleeding. Leaving her confused as she just remained walking ahead.
Just then there was growling heard within the forest. "Who is there?" Liu Fu Juan said turning to face the bushes. Coming out was her brother in his lion form. He growled towards the Fang Teng Fei who stood beside her. Fang Teng Fei body reacted on its own as he shielded her with his body. "Teng Fei, it's okay. He won't hurt me." She held his arm like before. She knew it worked as Fang Teng Fei slowly backed off.
The lion shifted as he looked to Liu Fu Juan. Eyeing her to know who the man standing beside her was. Fang Teng Fei still looked unmoved by the shift that had appeared before him. "Fu Juan, who is this man?" Liu Feng questioned his little sister looking to him.
"His name is Feng Teng Fei. I decided to help him." She looked to brother. Not showing any fear as he growled not wanting to let any intruders into their kingdom.
"How do we know he isn't one of those men working for Ye Yao Chuan?" Liu Feng questioned his little sister who glared at him. She didn't know how she can prove that Fang Teng Fei didn't work for their enemy.
