Chapter 8: Ancestors (1)

Fang Teng Fei looked up to Liu Gang as he didn't know if he could convince the Luan emperor but their emperor was rather sickly. "I can try to have him do so but he has been rather sickly. No one knows the symptoms but he has been getting sick every year and he may not have much time as it seems." Fang Teng Fei said.

"Hm, if you would like then I would like one of my well known physicians to meet him and see his condition. Hui Lan, come out." Liu Gang called as a young girl about Liu Fu Juan's age came out. Peng Wei looked to her which he had a slight growl come out of his mouth. Peng Lim and Su Rong saw clearly of their son being possessive. Both knew he had just met his mate.

"Your highness has called me." An Hui Lan was her full name telling it to the emperor. She felt her heart beat seeing Peng Wei. Turning her gaze down, she got shy finally knowing that she had met her mate.

"I would like you to go on this journey to Luan Kingdom. To help the Luan Emperor get his health back. You are one of the well known physician's at medicine." Liu Gang said.

"I would like to propose something as well." Liu Fu Juan then spoke up as everyone turned to look at her. "Father remember what I have told you before. That promise that I asked." She said looking up to her father.

"En, I remember. What is it that you are asking?" He had a thought now of what it could be.

"I ask if I can go along. I wish to help Qiliang Kingdom as well and have Luan Kingdom know of us better. I know how Ye Yao Chuan looks like. I ask that father let me go along with them." Liu Fu Juan said to him wanting to be able to go along. Liu Gang was in thoughts as he didn't know if he would be able to grant such a promise.

"If father is concern then me and Peng Wei will go along to keep an eye and assist her." Liu Feng then walked up as he decided to go along to help his little sister. Liu Gang felt a burst of happiness that his son was actually learning well to protect and think ahead of his family and friends.

"Very well. I will have you five go to Luan Kingdom together. You must follow General Teng Fei's words as he may be able to avoid you from any trouble." Liu Gang knew that Luan Kingdom can be very troubling as there were differences from Qiliang and Luan Kingdom.

"We will father." Liu Feng and Liu Fu Juan said. The five of them rose up as each of their parents looked to their children.

"This now ends. Rest today and tomorrow you all will travel to Luan Kingdom." Liu Gang announces as everyone was leaving. Their parents all went to their children looking to them.

"All of you must protect each other no matter what. You've all been training for this day and we cannot come with you but our future is now with you all." Liu Gang told all of them as they knew well.

"I must ask another thing." Liu Fu Juan said. They all looked to her with their full attention on her only.

"What is it?" Xue Liang was questioning more as she didn't want her daughter going into anymore dangerous situations.

"Who were our ancestors? Who were we?" Liu Fu Juan asked them as they all looked to her. They were left in confusion as they didn't know at all about their ancestors of the Feline Tribe.

"Our ancestors were known as Humanity's Protector." They heard a voice as they turned to see Ling Fe. Liu Fu Juan smiled running to hug her grandma. "How is my granddaughter?" She smiled hugging her back.

"I'm fine grandmother. Just now what did you say?" Liu Fu Juan asked her.

"The Feline Tribe used to protect humanity from greed and seeking more out of each other. We were once a strong hold tribe but they say our tribe was destroyed by a hurricane or so. It's all a lie, the real thing that happened was that a human had destroyed a very ancient demon's barrier. He awoke and destroyed all of us." Ling Fe sighed remembering everything that time as she was still young.

"Grandmother, how come the tribe couldn't stop him?" Liu Fu Juan asked.

"We couldn't. The one who can create such a barrier was known as a Celestial. They are gods to us. We are like their messengers or soldiers. There was once a Celestial who gladly helped us to stop the demon but he soon after left telling us to never let anyone remove the barrier but it was removed by a human who was seeking great power to rule the world." Ling Fe took a deep breath.

"Is there a way to stop the demon?" Liu Fu Juan asked.

"My granddaughter, why do you wish to know so much?" Her grandmother looked to her wondering now.

"B-Because I met an ancestor when I fell from the waterfall when I was 10." Liu Fu Juan said. Hearing that, Fang Teng Fei slightly had a flashback of a waterfall seeing blood in the water and the amber necklace given to him as he heard, "Promise that you will come see or meet me." Holding his head he had some memory return oddly after hearing Liu Fu Juan. He had just remembered something little as he looked to Liu Fu Juan.
