Chapter 23 You Finally Came

Yang Yulan withdrew her hand immediately as if she was shot by the electricity.

She reminded him seriously, “Respect yourself, Mr. Lu.”

“I do want my daughter to be cured, but we didn’t sneak in. We entered through the normal procedure.”

Lu Xinjian didn’t expect Yang Yulan to refuse him after being down and out. He boiled over.

Gritting his teeth, he cursed, “You’d better have a clear self-estimation and know how to appreciate my kindness. Bitch!”

“You know what? Many young girls want to be my girlfriends. You should feel honored I have a crush on you.”

“Think you are somebody?”

“If you come home with me, I’ll make you lead a glorious life.”

“If you disagree, I’ll let you and your disabled daughter be kicked out with just my single order. Believe it or not?”

Yang Yulan was timid to be here. His words riled her up, but she still had no guts to scold him.

Seeing her keep silent, Lu Xinjian thought she had compromised. He chuckled more triumphantly.

Then he pulled out an ID card and showed it off. “Look what this is.”

Yang Yulan saw the words “Committee Member, the Stillwater Branch of the Academy of Medicine," feeling more fearful. She didn’t expect him to become a committee member.

“Congratulations, Mr. Lu!”

“I’m from South Pharmaceuticals. Later, we shall hang out together.”

“Mr. Lu, we’ve known each other for years. I heard the Medical Board will be in charge of the ingredient purchase for the Stillwater Branch.”

“Please remember to cooperate with my company.”

“Mr. Lu, I know several new girls have been hired in a nightclub. They are good at making coffee and drinking. Shall we go there tonight?”

Several owners of pharmaceutical companies hurriedly fawned over Lu Xinjian after seeing his ID card.

They had foreseen countless profits behind it.

Lu Xinjian looked complacent. However, he only preferred a woman like Yang Yulan.

“Sleep with me. Then I’ll let you supply the disposable syringe needles for my hospital.”

“What do you think? I’ll take it as a yes if you don't speak.”

Yang Yulan blushed in anger. While she was in a dilemma, she heard a warm voice.

“Mom, let’s switch our seats.” Qin Tian stood up.

Yang Yulan cast a grateful glance at him, stood up, and switched her seat with him.

“Who the heck are you?” Lu Xinjian looked at Qin Tian in disdain and disgust as Qin Tian interrupted him.

Qin Tian glanced at the ID card in his hands and sneered, “I’m Qin Tian. I work for Ms. Yang.”

“How can a man like you become a committee member? It must be fake.”

“I dare you to repeat it!” Lu Xinjian went ballistic.

Pointing at Qin Tian, he snapped, “You are just an employee of a small company. Think you are a bigwig? How dare you talk nonsense in my presence!”

“Believe it or not, you’ll be so doomed when I just lift a finger.”

The business owners flattering Lu Xinjiang burst into laughter after learning Qin Tian was just an employee working for Yang Yulan.

“Ms. Yang, I heard you lost your company long ago. When did you start a new one?”

“Did you come here to get the supplier’s qualification?”

“You’d better have a clear self-estimation.”

Lu Xinjiang ordered Qin Tian complacently, “Hear it? Fuck off. Now!”

“Or I’ll call the security guards.”

Qin Tian snorted, grabbed the ID card from Lu Xinjian, split it, and smashed the pieces on his face.

He snapped, “Your committee member qualification has been canceled.”

Lu Xinjian was shocked and angry. He didn’t expect such a small potato could be so wanton.

“I’m gonna kill you!” he roared, his eyes reddened. Lu Xinjian pounced at Qin Tian.

Qin Tian flicked his hand leisurely and slapped him across his face.

Lu Xinjian cried in pain and fell to the ground. A clear palm print appeared on his fat face.

His fury drove him crazy.

Earlier, he deliberately lowered his voice due to the occasion. However, he couldn’t help but yell, “Security!”

“Security! He hit me!”

His miserable cry attracted everyone’s attention, and he instantly became the hall's focus.

Seeing a handsome young man like Qin Tian had the guts to hit another person, they gaped and wondered if he had a death wish.

Also, the pharmaceutical company owners who flattered Lu Xinjian couldn’t believe their eyes.

Yang Yulan’s jaw went slack as well.

She had never expected Qin Tian to be so bold.

Upon hearing Lu Xinjian’s roar, security guards rushed over to surround Qin Tian.

“Kill him!” Lu Xinjian snarled ferociously.

“Yes, that little prick hit Mr. Lu. We all saw it.”

“This man named Qin Tian is so violent.”

“You’d better capture him and beat him to death,” the pharmaceutical company owners testified for Lu Xinjian for fawning over him.

In their eyes, Qin Tian had been a corpse.

“Excuse me, Sir...” the security guard in the lead gingerly asked after hesitating.

Qin Tian said indifferently, “I can go with you.”

“Before I return, you must ensure the safety here. Understand?”

The security in the lead’s heart skipped a beat. Then he immediately raised his voice to announce to others, “The ceremony is starting soon. Who else wants to make trouble will be punished on the scene immediately!”

“Mom, I’ll go with them for a short while. Please wait here with Su Su,” Qin Tian whispered to Yang Yulan and followed the security guards to leave.

Lu Xinjian laughed triumphantly. “Don’t you look so proud and competent, brat? Never think of returning here.”

“Yang Yulan, do you still want to reject me?”

The next second, he was slapped again.

The security guard stared daggers at him and snapped, “Talk nonsense again. I’ll shoot you down.”

Lu Xinjian shivered in fear and buttoned his lip. However, he still felt complacent.

In his opinion, Qin Tian would definitely live in Hell afterward.

After leaving the ceremony, he would still be the hospital dean and the committee member of the Medical Board. Then he would have plenty of time to torture Yang Yulan.

Watching Qin Tian vanish backstage with several security guards, Yang Yulan paled.

However, she was just a fragile woman who couldn’t do anything.

Gritting her teeth, she darted at Lu Xinjian next to her, wondering if she must sleep with him to save Qin Tian’s life.

Inwardly, she complained about Qin Tian for causing such big trouble for her.

Yang Yulan regretted coming here.

A strictly guarded room backstage.

Qin Tian pushed the door open and entered. Seeing a man smoking a cigar while sitting with his legs crossed, he snorted, “You finally came, Qinglong.”

“Boss!” Nie Qinglong jumped to his feet excitedly with a grin. “I miss you, Boss.”

“Coincidentally, I finished my mission in Ryukyu, so I came here to see you.”

“Boss, among the spoils, I found the cigars that used to be Ka’s favorite when he was alive. Here you are. I hope you like them.”

Qin Tian darted at the delicately packaged cigars in his hands, frowning, and asked, “Trinidad?”

“Look, Wang Bonian. Boss can tell the brand after a single glance.”

Nie Qinglong patted his chest and added, “Boss, the authentic Trinidad, three layers of cut tobacco.”

“Try one, Boss?”

Qin Tian sat in a chair, and Qinglong lit a cigar for him. He remarked, “Let’s talk, brat.”

“Did you come here in person due to the commander-in-chief’s order?”
