Chapter 24 Primal Gem

Nie Qinglong grinned, “The commander-in-chief didn’t have any evident orders but wanted to remind you to be a good host to receive our guests.”

“Anyway, all up to you.”

Qin Tian chuckled, “That old man wanted to play at being generous and kind but let me play the devil.”

However, he checked on the four men on the monitor screen and added, “It’s difficult to gather those guys.”

“Since it’s a rare opportunity and they want to beg us, we must get some benefits from them.”

Wang Bonian, who kept silent, answered with a smile, “They’re here to get the medical treatments.”

“According to my observation, they are all spirited. I can’t tell what’s wrong with them.”

“Commander Qin, what have you seen so far?”

Qin Tian stared at the screen. Then his gaze fell on an eye-closed old man whose hair was gray and whose face was covered by lentigo.

Qin Tian remarked, “I heard Steve Paulman had successfully dodged 57 assassinations from the worldwide top killers.”

“He’s indeed alert and lucky.”

“However, he seemed to be too careless this time. He was poisoned.”

Nie Qinglong and Wang Bonian were shocked by his words.

Wang Bonian asked, “Commander Qin, do you mean Steve Paulman was drugged?”

“Why does he look so normal on the surface?”

Frowning, Nie Qinglong thought for a while. “Who could successfully poison him? I can’t tell who did that.”

“None of the globally top-ranked killers is good at using poison.”

Without explaining, Qin Tian glanced at John Martin, Dean Harris, and Elvis Presley one after another.

A moment later, he ordered Nie Qinglong, “Send your men to let Steve Paulman come here.”

“I can’t show up in public. I’ll instruct you guys what to do.”

Then he tossed a golden plate with the words “Primal Gem” onto the table, drifting into the inner room while smoking the cigar.

‘Primal Gem? It meant Primal wants to rescue the patient.”

Both Nie Qinglong and Wang Bonian made moves.

Nie Qinglong informed his subordinates in the hall to invite Steve.

Steve looked gray and old, the same as any ordinary senior citizen on the street.

However, his lifetime legends made Nie Qinglong and Wang Bonian tense, especially the latter.

All those bigwigs came to town to see Commander Qin, but he had hidden.

Steve entered the room.

Fortunately, Qin Tian whispered into Wang Bonian’s earset. The latter shook violently and repeated to Steve, “Mr. Paulman, you should have been poisoned a year ago.”

“Although you’ve tried all means to repress it, you only have three months left.”

His words made Steve tremble. He turned around.

“Can you cure me?” He gazed at Wang Bonian.

Wang Bonian answered, “I cannot completely cure you so far, but I can repress it for a year.”

Steve thought it over and asked, “What’s your condition?”

He talked neatly without any nonsense.

Nie Qinglong replied, “The Hall of Primal is always open to friends worldwide. Primal respects you for leading your people to fight for freedom.”

“He once said your faith matches our country’s belief--respecting the differences and making them harmonious.”

“Hence, he hopes our country's railway construction to help your country develop could go smoothly. It’s a win-win benefit.”

“Mr. Paulman, I believe that’s what you also wish to see, isn’t it?”

Seeing Steve hesitate, Wang Bonian reminded him, “Mr. Paulman, your poison cannot be delayed any longer.”

“If you agree, you can lie on the bed. Let me acupuncture you.”

“Within the following year, you can do many things to benefit your people, can’t you?”

“Besides, Primal can probably find a way to completely cure you in a year.”

Steve glanced at Primal Gem again and answered, “I trust the owner of the Hall of Primal.”

Then he lay on the bed aside and closed his eyes.

Wang Bonian breathed out in relief, feeling the sweat on his palms. However, according to Qin Tian’s instructions, his acupuncture went smoothly.

Several dark drops of blood dripped from Steve’s fingertips.

Although he looked slightly fragile, Steve looked more spirited, evidently.

“Your country’s cultural quintessence is indeed magical. I hope I’ll have the chance to meet the real owner of Primal Gem in the future.”

He darted at the door of the inner room, nodded at it, and turned away quickly.

“Boss, did he notice you in the room?” Nie Qinglong asked in confusion.

Qin Tian didn’t answer him. “I seem to have found out who drugged him. This kind of poison...”

Next, he let John, Dean, and Elvis enter the room one after another.

He asked Dean to utilize his connection with the national congress to cancel the unfair trade sanctions targeting Gravago.

Qin Tian assigned Elvis to a mission.

He wanted Elvis to investigate globally to find out if anyone had used the venom of the black mamba, known as Death of the State of Fahim, for assassination or terrorism.

“Is that all, Boss? You are awesome!”

“Ha ha ha... You easily found their weaknesses. Instead of curing them completely, you can use them forever to benefit our country.”

“You are my superhero, Boss!” Nie Qinglong burst into laughter triumphantly.

Those conditions had bothered the Gravago government for a long time, but Qin Tian resolved the problems quickly.

Wang Bonian also breathed a sigh of relief, collapsing into a chair with sweat.

He had never thought of using the acupoints and pressure instructed by Qin Tian just now.

It meant he had learned many things from Qin Tian, which excited him.

Suddenly, on the monitoring screen, they saw a person making a fuss in the hall.
