Jamie chuckled as she laid on her bed and stared at the roof, her face and her mind blank. It had been a long time since she saw her dad, since the family was complete at the dinning table. She missed them, she missed them a lot.
She wished she could just see them even if it was once but it was impossible. Her elder brothers were scattered all over the planet and her dad? She barely knew where he was.
Jamie sighed as she turned on her side and the hazel eyed boy popped up in her head again. She wore a small smile as she closed her eyes.

"C'mon, its nice here" Damon rolled his eyes at his mom's statement.
"Why couldn't we just stay?" Damon asked as everywhere went quiet.
"Damon, you need to calm down. Dad wanted us to move after we buried him" Ryder said slowly as Damon turned to him in surprise.
"Really?" Damon asked his hazel eyes turning misty.
"Yeah. He did" Ryder replied as Damon stood up and walked to the balcony. He slid his hands into his jacket and stared at the night sky without moving.
The wind whistled as it blew slowly in the night. The moon was curved like a sickle in the sky while the scattered stars all over illuminated the earth.
Damon sighed heavily as he stared into space. It had been one month since he lost his dad. Not just his dad, his best friend, his Batman. After he got diagnosed for Cancer, Stage Three; there was nothing they could do than spend the rest of the days they had with him.
He would never forget the way he smiled at him as he breathed his last. Even though he already knew he was going to die, Damon didn't get himself for days after his Father's death. If not because of his elder brother and his mom; he was sure he would have fallen into depression.
He heard someone walk towards him and stop beside him.
"We all miss him Damon, you might have been the closest to him but he was a father and a best friend to us all" Ryder said slowly.
"If you keep acting like this, how do you want Annie to move on? She's been doing really fine; if she sees you like this.... " Ryder said allowing his remaining words to hang in the air.
"And besides, did you already forget your promise to Dad?" Ryder asked as Damon turned to him.
"You promised you were going to be happy and you were going to move on" Ryder said as Damon wore a small smile remembering his promise.
He wanted to be happy and he was going to. He didn't plan on breaking the promise he made to his dad; he just missed him.
"I know" Damon replied as he let out a sigh.
"We are going to Zack's tomorrow" Ryder said and Damon laughed. Zack was his cousin and they hadn't seen each other in five years although they did see each other pictures on IG and on video call.
Ryder patted his younger brother's back "C'mon, its time for dinner" Ryder said as Damon walked behind him back into the house.

Jamie opened her drowsy eyes as she glanced at the digital clock on the drawer beside her. She turned on the bed and she opened her eyes and tried to adjust it to the light intensity of the room.
She yawned as she rose to her feet. She wore her slippers as she walked towards the seating room. She walked towards the speaker and put it on as WAP by Cardi B echoed through the house, she increased the volume as she walked back to her room.
After adjusting and laying her bed; Jamie walked to the bathroom and brushed her teeth before taking her bath. She changed into crazy jeans and a top slightly bigger than her.
After packing her hair into a ponytail, she wore an head warmer over her and proceeded to the dinning room. As she wanted to open the fridge, she saw the newly plastered note.
Eat at Grandmas
Mom.
Opening the fridge and bringing out a can of soda, she closed it and walked back to her room. She walked towards a closed huge and tall shelf and opened it revealing all kinds and coloura of spray cans and paints.
She grabbed two spray cans and threw it in her bag. Flinging her bag over her shoulders, she walked out of the room. She turned the speaker off and she walked towards the door.
Grabbing the skate board that was leaning beside the door, she stepped outside the closed the door. She wore her headsets as soon as she got to the streets. Placing her skate board on the floor and getting in it, she started her journey to her grandparents place.
It was just a few blocks away from her house so it wasn't much of a hassle. She skated skillfully on the street on failing to attract attention as she jumped over dustbins and suddenly obstacles.
After skating for about twenty minutes, she arrived at her grandparents place. She grabbed her skate board and placed it underneath her arm. She opened the garden gate and stepped inside the house.
She pushed the door open and dropped the skateboard beside the door before walking inside. She dropped her bag on the chair before walking towards the kitchen.
"Grandma!" Jamie called as a sweet smile crawled up her face. The older woman in the kitchen turned and her eyes lit up upon seeing Jamie as she walked towards her.
"Jamie!" She called excited as Jamie hugged her while laughing.
"You are here" she added and Jamie laughed.
"I made special pancakes for you" her grandma said and Jamie laughed heartily.
"Okay Grandma. Where's Grandpa?" She asked.
"Tending to his eggplants at the backyard" her grandma said as she humphed.
"He spends too much time with those plants these days" She added and Jamie laughed as she walked towards the backyard.
