CHAPTER 6 : BRIGHTENING UP REJECTED MATE’S MOOD

Alexander walked up to Jace's bed, knocking on the door. “COME IN” Jace yelled as Alexander entered the room and saw the guitar in Jace's hand as he sat on his bed with red eyes.

Alexander knew he had to cheer up his mate and that is what he planned to do even if they were known as ‘rejected mates’

“What do you want?” Jace questioned Alexander annoyed while Alexander stuttered out “Um…I-I know you rejected me and I rejected you b-but I can feel you are sad”

Jace kept his guitar away while he sighed rubbing his face as he spoke “So, what if I am sad? I will be okay soon” which made Alexander frown.

“Stop being stupid for once and just let me cheer you up” Alexander huffed out hoping Jace agrees.

“You think that you can make me feel better?” Jace questioned as Alexander stuttered out “I-I” making Jace sigh.

“Just forget it” Jace whispered out as Alexander suddenly angrily spoke “NO, I will…” as he stopped and continued in a low voice “No, I can cheer you up”

Jace hummed as he patted the space infront of him as he spoke “Okay come here and sit.”

Alexander walked up to Jace and sat on the place Jace patted while his face turned red as he started to play with his fingers.

“Don’t be so nervous. I am not interested in you” Jace chuckled as Alexander's genuine smile faded away while he sighed and gave Jace a fake smile this time.

“I know you are not and if you have forgotten, I rejected you as well” Alexander rolled his eyes with a smile as Jace chuckled humming while he whispered, “Yeah, I remember it well.”

Alexander kept on staring at Jace when he noticed Jace’s ear pop up with his tail and right now Jace was in his second form that was half-wolf and half-human.

“You are in your half-wolf form” Alexander giggled out as Jace groaned nodding his head.

“Yeah, it happens whenever I meet Richa” Jace shrugged his shoulder while Alexander still kept on staring at Jace.

Alexander smiled as he stuttered out “Um…I like your wolf form a lot” making Jace smile as he replied “I love your wolf form. It is very beautiful and pure” which made Alexander’s cheeks go red in embarrassment.

“Thank you. It’s the first time someone liked my wolf” Alexander spoke in a low voice as he genuinely smiled at Jace who raised his eyebrow confused at Alexander.

“What do you mean?” Jace questioned as Alexander's eyes widened suddenly realizing what he just said as Jace noticed his panicking.

“N-Nothing.” Alexander stuttered out hoping Jace forgets since he was scared of anyone finding out about his past when his eyes landed on the guitar that was placed next to the bed.

“What? Never saw a guitar before?” Jace questioned which made Alexander giggle while he shook his head and answered “No, I always imagined my mate being the ‘I love books’ type”

Jace stared at Alexander all shocked “Pfft…” when he suddenly started to laugh while he spoke “You seriously amaze me sometimes”

Alexander huffed while he puffed his cheeks and smacked Jace’s arm. “Hey don’t laugh at me. I-It’s not like I knew you. I just have your name on my collarbone” he spoke frustrated but he was glad that he brightened up Jace’s mood a little.

“Okay, I won't so what am I like?” Jace questioned all curious to see what Alexander thought of him when he saw a glimpse of sadness cross Alexander’s eyes.

“I don’t know, I couldn’t find out because you rejected me. All I can tell is that you are the type who is extremely loyal and caring” Alexander spoke in a low voice made Jace sigh.

“I am not caring” Jace blurted out as Alexander shook his head and replied, “I think you are”

“If I was caring, I would have never rejected you” Jace now tried to prove his point but Alexander beat him to it by replying, “I think you are caring and that is why you rejected me” which confused Jace a lot.

“How can you be so stupid? I rejected you and here you are trying to brighten up my mood instead of winning over me so I can leave my old mate behind” Jace spoke as he glared at Alexander and held his wrist tight making him yelp.

“I-I understand the pain for not being wanted. I don’t want anyone to suffer that especially you” Alexander whispered as he tried his best to pull his hand back but Jace’s grip on his wrist was extremely strong.

“That’s adorable but I am strong so don’t worry” Jace chuckled making Alexander giggle since he just loved how Jace always stayed strong no matter what.

“Even strong people need care” Alexander whispered as he sighed remembering how he remained strong until the day he left his abusive family.

Jace felt an uneasy feeling around Alexander as he could tell Alexander was feeling sad so Jace cleared his throat tried to change the topic by questioning “In university, which year are you in?” while Alexander glanced at Jace and answered “I am in the first year taking music and arts”

“Oh, I am in physical education class. Like sports, you know. I play basketball and volleyball sometimes soccer” Jace shrugged his shoulder as Alexander nodded his head when his eyes landed on Jace’s guitar.

“But you were playing the guitar so well” Alexander spoke as Jace glanced at his guitar while he sighed.

“Just something I left long ago” Jace kept on staring at his guitar when Alexander asked a question “After your first mate left?” bringing him back from his thoughts.

“Yeah, she loved it whenever I played for her so it’s meaningless if I play it now” Jace answered Alexander even though he had no clue why was he telling Alexander all this. He had clearly rejected his new mate because he knew his old mate Richa from school days.

“I think it’s not meaningless. You can’t leave something you are so good at just because someone rejected you” Alexander spoke the truth as he smiled knowing even if Jace rejected him, he would never stop doing what he likes.

“Did you stop doing something dear to you just because I rejected you?” Jace questioned out of curiosity as Alexander shook his head to a ‘NO’.

“Nah why would I stop doing what I like? It's not my fault that you don’t like me also I just can’t give up on things I like just because of a rejection” Alexander clearly spoke telling Jace that even if he rejected him, he will one day move on and live happily and will keep on doing things he likes.

“Oh, wow how cute of you” Jace chuckled as he let go of Alexander’s wrist and flicked his forehead.

“I hope I cheered you up because Keith is waiting, I should go. I will send Crystal” Alexander rubbed his forehead.

“Keith…Keith…Keith.” Jace started as he rolled his eyes and continued “For once concentrate on me” making Alexander’s face go red.

“B…But you rejected me” Alexander stuttered out as he averted his eyes.

“And you said you will cheer me up” Jace clicked his tongue as Alexander glanced at him to see him resting his face on his hand while he was looking away grumpily.

“What can I do to cheer you up?” Alexander giggled out as he ruffled Jace’s hair who glanced at him and held his hand while he answered “Kiss me” which made Alexander's eyes go wide in shock.

“I-I-I can’t do that” Alexander played with his fingers shyly as Jace kept on staring at him.

“Why? Am I not good enough? Or do you want to kiss Keith instead?” Jace questioned annoyed as Alexander quickly looked up and shook his head while he answered “N-No…he got a mate”

Jace hummed as he stood up and walked towards the door while he locked it.

“So shut up and kiss me” Jace spoke as he sat on the bed and pulled Alexander on his lap.

Alexander had no idea what to do. He knew Jace was his mate, but Jace had rejected him, making it difficult to consider what he was offering. Alexander was well aware that if Jace pushed him away, he would be hurt and cry for days.

“No please I want to kiss my mate only” Alexander whispered as he covered his mouth with his hand as Jace chuckled resting his hand on Alexander's waist while he whispered huskily in Alexander’s ear “But I am your mate”

Alexander shook his head as he held Jace’s shoulder with his small hands while he sternly spoke “I am your second mate and you love your first mate” which made Jace shrug as he replied back stubbornly “I can’t kiss her because she is married”

Alexander started as he shook his head “You can’t kiss her but you still want to be with her? That’s la-” when Jace cut him off by kissing him which caught him off guard.

“Fuck” Jace spoke in-between the kiss as he felt sparks indicating him that Alexander was his mate whereas Alexander felt uneasy.

“H-Hot” Alexander cried out as Jace broke the kiss while he pulled Alexander towards himself and whispered “Shh calm down cub” in Alexander's ear.

“J-Jace” Alexander cried out as he squeezed Jace’s shoulder who kissed Alexander’s earlobe making him shudder.

” Hmm~ what is it?” Jace huskily whispered in Alexander’s ear who pushed Jace while he stared into his orange eyes.

“S-Stop it” Alexander stuttered out shyly as Jace sighed scratching his neck.

“What if I say no?” Jace questioned tilting his head which made Alexander shy when Jace pulled Alexander once again and pressed his lips against his neck.

“Please stop,” Alexander spoke in a low voice as he held back his moans.

“Never” Jace spoke as he kissed Alexander’s lips again as he slipped his tongue in forgetting what Alexander wanted.

Jace was suffocated by his feelings. He wanted Alexander to stay in his arms and never let him go even though he didn’t love him. His old mate was married and he knew very well that he couldn’t do anything but Alexander wasn’t married and just after talking with him a little, Jace lost control.

The hunger for love and Alexander under him grew more and more as he kept on exploring his mouth when Alexander suddenly moaned turning Jace on even more.

Jace broke the kiss as he pulled Alexander’s sweatshirt’s sleeve down and bit his shoulder cap making Alexander moan while he kept his hand on his mouth.

“Alex, we are ordering pizza. Come out soon and you as well Jace” Alexander and Jace heard Aleena’s voice as Alexander opened his mouth to yell for help when Jace covered his mouth.

“Yeah, we will come soon. Sorry, we are taking so long. I am showing Alie my new song” Jace yelled back as he bit his lips seeing Alexander all frustrated.

Alexander’s face was red as he tried to push Jace’s hand away when Alexander heard Aleena yell “Okay babes come out soon and don’t you make him cry” as Jace heard his steps disappear.

Jace removed his hand as he held Alexander by his waist while he kept on kissing him on his shoulder cap.

“W-Why?” Alexander whispered as he shook while Jace answered “Because she is a human and she doesn’t have good hearing thus she can’t hear your sweet moans”

Alexander was now scared, he wanted to call Keith, Crystal even Zain or Rei worked because he was afraid of what Jace might do but at the same time Alexander had noticed Jace’s eyes being light orange that meant he was trying to fight his wolf.

Jace couldn’t control his hunger for Alexander due to their mating bond but at the same time, he just wanted to end all. Alexander's mind had gone blank and he couldn’t think of anything so he had no other option but to stop Jace knowing Jace would hate himself later for doing this.

“I SAID STOP” Alexander yelled as he smacked Jace’s cheek bringing him back to reality. Jace’s eyes went wide when he saw tears streaming down Alexander’s cheek.

“I…I am sorry” Jace whispered as Alexander cupped his cheeks and made him look right into his eyes.

“I am not your toy. You rejected me and now you are kissing me? Listen here Jace de Leon, you cannot take your sexual frustration out on me and if you do that again…I won’t forgive you” Alexander angrily stood up as he glanced back at Jace to see him lost in his thoughts while he unlocked the door and walked out.
