Setting The Plan In Motion
I have been kicked in the gut by Trinity Stone once again; I would love to say that I have never felt pain like this, where in fact, she has made me feel this way one too many times.
Trinity is, well, the woman does not think half of the time. One would think that she would have outgrown her tantrums by now, yet she still manages to prove me wrong. There truly is no dull moment when I am around her. But I wish that she would just pick the right type of moments to get excited about.
But no, Vic Stone waltzes into my engagement party, and with one whisper, my fiancé is just gone; just like that, and I find myself single once again. Am I just doomed to be alone for the rest of this goddamn confusing life of mine? Well, it appears that it might be the future that I am looking at.
Though…I have a fucking great idea.
Now, I am going to run this one past Mason here; I am sure he is going…well; let us see how it is going to take this.
“So, Mason,” I stare at him with a rather wicked smile on my way too fucking happy face; he does not even give me a second to finish what I want to say.
“That look,” he points at me while waving his finger in the air, “That look tells me that you have just come up with a shit idea that is going to get us all killed.”
“I won’t say killed,” I only but shake my head at him. “Perhaps torture and then killed.”
Well, as the word torture leaves so elegantly over my lips, I watch as his body cringes, yet, he still entertains me for a second longer, “So, what is this brilliant idea?”
Ya, wait for it…
“I am going to kidnap Trinity.”
Ya, wait for it…
“Are you fucking crazy?”
I only but chuckle at him, “No, I am dead serious. If Vic does not want her to be with me, then I am going to make her.”
He steps one step closer to where I am casually sipping on a cup of coffee, with only but…one…two…three…the flat of his hand hits the back of my head.
“What the fuck? You know you just smacked your boss?”
“Well,” he raises his voice only a pitch higher. “My boss is being an idiot.”
“Your boss is going to whack your ass just for slapping him, and then he is going to whack you again for calling him an idiot.”
He only bursts out in a fit of uncontrollable laughter, “Only stating the obvious. Why don’t you just speak to Vic, like two grown men?”
“Ha! Did you just hear yourself?” I practically choke on my coffee, “Vic, a grown man? The only thing grown on him…”
“God, I beg you do not finish that sentence.” Then he stops for a moment; as he runs his hand through his hair, he starts to speak again. “Why don’t you just accept that you and Trinity are not meant to be.”
Well, that is immediately where my temper snaps; how can he, and in fact, Vic think and even dare to say that we don’t belong together. WE DO. We just have a bunch of fucking assholes that keep coming in our way.
I WILL NOT GIVE UP ON TRINITY.
And if it means that I need to take her away against her will, then that is what I am going to do. I know the moment that she steps up and becomes the goddamn Queen that our relationship will truly be doomed. Even if I were still her bodyguard, I would never have stood a chance to be by her side. Perhaps, it is true then; we are just not meant to be.
Fuck that.
I will take Trinity.
And I will fucking kill Vic if he comes as much as near to me.
So it is with a new determination that I look at Mason, “We are doing this.”
He wants to protest, yet, “When are we doing this?”
“I need to survey; I want to know each move that her new bodyguard makes.”
Ya, and that sets my body on a whole new wave of anger; she has another man with her by her side. I know he is supposed to be protecting her, yet, I know how flirty she can get; she is probably already turning the goddamn man wild.
Fuck.
Me and my head.
“Let’s go,” I grab my coat as I walk past Mason, “I want to know every move that every fucking asshole in that house makes.”
I have officially gone on the brink of insanity.
Whom the fuck kidnaps his fiancé, well ex, but she has not yet returned that ring. So in my book, to me, she still very much belongs to me, and I am going to claim back what is mine.
So, ya Vic, I am coming for you. Let us see who wins this round.
Now, this is how it is about to go; I know the weakest point in the Stone Mansion’s defense; we shall sit under cover of the rain and watch how every man goes. Knowing Vic, he has increased his detail. Though there is one thing that the man forgets, that Colton Cruz and his men are the best that you can get, so whatever he has roaming his grounds must be a bunch of idiots.
But right, now the idiot seems to be me. As we come rolling down the road at an incredibly snail’s pace, we dim the lights and turn off into the side road that runs past the left wall of the Mansion. There is a little side gate that has been bolted up and has not been used in years. Well, that is what Vic seems to think, this idiot has a key for it, and it is very much not bolted anymore.
What makes this even more perfect is that you can see the windows of Trinity’s room from here. So with careful fingers and as soft as a whisper, I unlock the gate, and both Mason and I slide through and go hide behind one of the lush green bushes, giving us a full view of the grounds both front and back.
There appears to be a light on in the room outside the back where I stayed; well, I can only guess that it is Trinity’s detail, and he most probably finds himself in there, for as I glance up to her room, I can see it is all pitch dark.
And this is where we remain, “Mason,” I softly whisper. “I count two at the back; I am going to guess that is without her bodyguard.”
He glances over the front lawn, “There is about five here, and I see one at the gate.”
Fuck.
Is the man expecting a goddamn war?
Well, in fact, he is, for I am the one that declared it.
Now the question begs, “How many are inside the house?” Mason asks as he tries to lean in to see the front door.
“Well,” I get that wicked smile again. “We can always go check.”
“What did I say about being fucking crazy?” Mason tightens the grip of his gun as one of the guards comes extremely close to where we are hiding. Then he speaks again, but his words fall on death ears, or should I say no ears at all, for I am much to his horror, climbing up the terrace that will give me access to Trinity’s room.
With somewhat of a trembling ass and a reminder to kick myself, I slowly creek the door open. I stop…
I wait for an inch of a second.
Nothing…
Then I slip through, looking from right to left, clearing the hallway before making my way towards Trinity’s room. As I slide my back against the wall, with each room I pass on my left, I sneak my head in…
They are all clear…
But then I hear the rumble of a voice coming from down the end of the hallway.
As I am about to raise my gun…I see Mason come into sight. He only but mumbles at me, and I can see the clear anger build in his eyes, “You are going to be the damn death of me. What are you doing?”
“What does it look like?”
“God, please don’t tell me that you are going to take her now?”
I only but ignore him; with a soft flick of my wrist, I take the doorknob in my hand, and ever so slowly, I push the door open. As Mason watches the hallway, I slip into the room.
And there she is…
She is lying in nothing but her red panties, fast asleep. Her skin is glowing underneath the rays of the moon that is sneaking through the open windows. I can smell her scent that is radiating from her body. I watch her chest, those beautiful breasts, rise, and fall as she is slowly breathing.
My heart stops. I cannot breathe. I miss her so much already. It is with determination to just feel her skin that I move once again, as soft as ever, over to the side of her bed. I have to fight the most incredible urge to touch her. If she screams, then I am fucking dead. So I just remain within my distance and watch her as she sleeps.
She might be the ice princess, but she is still my princess…and I am going to take her…I just need for her not to scream.
I know exactly what I must do…
