Chapter 7 Signing the agreement on Monday
She pursed her lips lightly before speaking: "Does my countenance matter that much? If Miss Khan cared that much, then why would she call at such an hour? But since we are open with each other now, let us not feel guilty or blame ourselves anymore, because we've already signed our divorce papers."
Her tone was reticent without any hint of reluctance.
Looking at Camille's reaction made Ayan show a meaningful glance gradually. This was obviously what he wanted, but an inexplicable emotion crossed his heart tip which couldn't be ignored, even though it was extremely slight. His eyebrows furrowed, and his tone was tinged with displeasure. "Camille, if you're upset because I asked you to bring the clothes over, you can be mad at me. But Eileen does not feel good, and she can't be sad and upset." He loved Eileen so much that he would not let her suffer a single bit of aggravation, while he could make Camille sad and uncomfortable.
Eileen saw the atmosphere turning bad. So she quickly reached out and pulled Ayan aside. "Ayan, don't do this to Camille. It's my fault; I shouldn't have bothered her." She looked at Camille again and said sincerely from the bottom of her heart, "Camille, I'm truly sorry for the trouble I caused."
Camille's face was cold and unresponsive; her expression was as cold as ice. Her silence caused Eileen's face to stiffen momentarily.
Camille once again clearly saw into the man's heart; she slightly fluttered her eyelids, gazing at him before speaking softly: "Pick a date to go through the processes."
Ayan frowned slightly with a cold expression on his face as frost crept into his voice: "Monday morning," two days away.
She hummed softly before saying: "Good then; I won't bother you now." Ayan did not respond; his face remained cold as if something had annoyed him or blocked his heart.
Did she say something wrong? Camile mocked herself before turning to leave the room.
Her ears were surrounded by Eileen's voice: "Ayan, go explain it to Camile, don't get angry." But he responded indifferently: "I do not need to explain anything." Even though his face was expressionless without the slightest hint of pleasure, He became angry and annoyed as if his heart was blocked by something. How could someone who has always been gentle like water become so stubborn?
Camille came out of the ward with tears falling down the corners of her eyes. After Ayan asked for divorce last night, Camile thought that she had prepared herself for this scene, but seeing him with Eileen still hurt deeply, like something kept tearing at her heart until it went numb.
After leaving the hospital, she made her way back to Hanyama Mansion, the wedding gift from the old Simpsons where Camille had been living since their marriage a year ago. Countless memories were made in that home and now she would have to move out once all the paperwork was done. She needed to start looking for an apartment in advance, since she wasn't welcome at Armstrong's villa anymore.
Thinking of the Armstrong family, she thought she should tell them about her divorce.
As she drove back to Armstrong's villa, Camille couldn't help but think about how little time she had spent there since getting married. She knew her mother Page Bates didn't like her from early on.
When Camille reached the door of Armstrong's villa, she overheard Grace talking about Eileen waking up and Ayan guarding her every step.
"Grace, don't say anything more about this matter," Page instructed gently but firmly. "The most important thing for you now is to go to Armstrong Corp and prepare for the next design competition." Her words full of doting and concern
Camille felt surprised when she heard Eileen was mentioned. She lifted her feet and walked down the hall. "Mom, I'm home." She saw Page sitting on a sofa with a dignified and gentle demeanor. Her look resembled Camille.
"Sis, you are back? Why is there no sound? You're not eavesdropping on me and Mom, are you?"
