Chapter 4 Camille, are you challenging me?
Her retort silenced Ayan momentarily.
Not wanting to continue confronting him, Camille lifted her foot to go upstairs when Ayan clutched her hand as she walked past him.
"Camille," he asked in a deep voice. "Are you challenging me?"
"I just wish you could treat us equally without discrimination."
"You were so eloquent when speaking of him earlier," Ayan said accusingly. "Was all that tenderness and understanding before just pretense?"
She struggled hard to pull her hand out of his grip, but his strength was too strong for her to resist.
Seeing that she kept struggling, Ayan roughly pulled Camile over and caught her in his arms. His cold breath swarmed into her nose as if daring her not to move.
Her whole body froze.
"Answer me honestly now. Is it about him?" he demanded harshly while holding onto Camille tightly.
She pursed her lips. Leaning too close to him in such an awkward posture is making her extremely uncomfortable.
But silence wasn't an option with this man; he wouldn't stop until he got what he wanted.
"No," she whispered finally after much hesitation while trying hard not to look into his eyes directly. "You're overthinking things. He and I are just friends."
Ayan raised an eyebrow skeptically before continuing, "Really? Just friends?"
"Why do you ask if you don't believe me?"
"Camille," He expressed his opinion from a man's perspective sternly."Preston is not someone like us; stay away from him."
Camille's fury was palpable as she sneered, "We're getting a divorce. You can't tell me who to be friends with or who I date. After the divorce, it's none of your business. Do you know that..."
"Hmm..."
Watching her red lips open and close, he just wanted her to stop saying those annoying things immediately, so he leaned in and gagged them with his own lips without hesitation.
Camille's eyes widened and her body stiffened as she felt his thin lips on hers. They had been intimate countless times before, but had never just kissed like this. It was overwhelming for Camille and she tried to push him away.
However, instead of stopping him, it only fueled his arousal and desire for possession over her. He aggressively stirred his tongue while their breaths broke apart in the heat of the moment.
His dominance brought tears to Camille's eyes, as she lost all strength under his brutal plundering kiss. The only thing she could do was shift her weight completely to him.
Just as the kiss gradually became unbearable, the cell phone in his pocket suddenly rang.
Also at that moment, Ayan stopped.
His lips slid over the corner of her mouth, breathing rapidly and patiently. He pressed against her forehead, deep, low eyes looking directly at her. Until the phone was about to automatically hang up, he pressed the button without even looking at it.
"Hello?"
"Ayan...I'm scared," a soft feminine voice said on the other end of the line, which Camille could hear clearly.
It was then that Camille realized what she had done with Ayan despite them being in the middle of a divorce settlement agreement - how could she have let herself do something like that?
With a grim expression on her face, Camile pushed Ayan away while he continued speaking on the phone before fleeing upstairs out of sight from him.
Ayan peered after Camile with dark, gloomy eyes before turning back to focus on Eileen, who sounded scared over their conversation.
He frowned slightly and said gently, "What happened, Eileen? The nurse is not with you?"
"Ayan, I'm scared. I feel people kept walking around outside. Is someone trying to hurt me again? Can you come over for me?"
The man was silent.
Eileen sounded a little panicked as she spoke to Ayan. "Ayan, I seem to remember that night. I remember that man..."
