Chapter 10 Will You Get Back with Your Ex After Divorce?

She looked up at him and replied, "Yes, I did."

"Why didn't you discuss this matter with me first?" He seemed gloomy with a complicated expression. Camille wondered why he reacted so strongly. Was it because she took the liberty of telling the Armstrongs about the divorce?

"I don't think this matter needs to be discussed," Camile said calmly. "Don't we have to go through the formalities on Monday? In that case, it won't bother you if I talked to my family first."

"Oh," Ayan questioned in a cold tone while his eyebrows showed cold intentions. "You're anxious to separate?"

Camille was slightly stunned and completely confused as to what he meant by that comment.

She smiled helplessly and said: "Ayan, did you forget that you were the one who tried filing for divorce?"

The one who was so anxious to divorce, was him, right?

The man frowned deeply and said: "Then there is no need to be in such a hurry; we could wait until we finish the divorce procedures. Your parents have already told Grandpa in any case; later on we will go back together."

So he just pressed Camile because old Simpson knew they were divorced and broke his plan?

Camille smiled helplessly again.

She really made a fool of herself - he wanted a divorce but didn't want any further ado.

Taking silent breaths, with faint tones, she continued: "Don't worry; I will make it clear to grandpa since he fondly loves me so much that he will definitely agree with me."

Ayan slightly narrowed his eyes, looking at her face coldly without showing any reluctance whatsoever. The complicated meaning in his eyes deepened as an indescribable displeasure flowed through him, making his heart feel chaotic yet numb.

He didn’t understand how someone could change their face so quickly! After he asked for a divorce, Camille's behavior towards him changed. She had always been gentle and considerate, taking good care of him while they respected each other without any conflicts or arguments. However, since the divorce request yesterday, she seemed cynical or indifferent.

He couldn't help but wonder if it was because he initiated the divorce.

As he looked at her bright and exquisite face that seemed shrouded in mist, he knew she was beautiful - top of girls from wealthy families. She exuded charisma that made it hard to overlook her.

A question rose within him.

What kind of man was her ex-boyfriend that she would sacrifice their marriage?

It had been mentioned before that they got married because he needed to follow the arrangement by old Simpson while she needed to break up with her boyfriend once and for all. This thought had crossed his mind more than once, but now an uncomfortable feeling spread through his heart.

His jaw tightened as he spoke in a low husky voice,"Camille, will you get back with him after the divorce?"

Camille paused momentarily before responding with an indifferent expression on her face, "No."

"Why not?" He probed further.

"There's no reason to get back together since we've already broken up. Besides, maybe my ex has fallen in love with someone else by now." Her tone was as bland as water; it sounded like she was discussing someone else's business rather than hers.

Ayan kept staring at her intently trying to decipher any emotions on her face when he asked, "Didn't your ex refuse to break up? Maybe he is still waiting for you?"

"Everyone changes and moves on; nobody stays where they are waiting forever." She tried convincing herself too.

If there would be no use getting back together, then why stick around?
