Chapter 8

Mu Shao Qing went into the kitchen seeing that it was empty. 'I need real sweets. Eating just regular food and plain sweets is nothing.' Mu Shao Qing went over to the kitchen and started using her powers. Having each flour, frosting, sugar and more flying around while mixing. She couldn't use her limbs or paws but she had her powers to use and help her.

Mixing all the sweets and bread, she smiled seeing everything mixing in as she liked it. Finally having it bake, she waited until it was time. Running to her sweets, they had formed having it all fresh and hot. Setting it all on the table, she started barking and running around smelling the delicious sweets. "What are you happy about now?"

Hearing Lord Yi coming though the door, having Mu Shao Qing tugging onto the bottom of his robe. He followed her to see a few sweet bread on the platter. Grabbing one of the bread, he took a bite having to pause. Mu Shao Qing whined if she probably didn't make it good. She didn't even taste it yet. "Who made this?" Lord Yi questioned looking around then to Mu Shao Qing who yapped looking up to him. "You did? Where did you learn it from?"

Mu Shao Qing didn't know how to explain or tell him. She couldn't even talk to him which left them in a complicated situation. He rubbed her head having her whine seeing how he could only assume or believe that it was her. Going over to the plates, she started eating it which had her sigh happily to know she could finally taste something different. 'Zhengsheng, I wonder how you are doing without me.' Mu Shao Qing thought since she had been gone for a long time having to think about what he would be doing at this time. Eating the sweets she made, Lord Yi watched her eat which he couldn't believe how a spiritual fox can just make delicious sweets.

Mu Zhengsheng was in a meeting room with his father who was meeting with the other clan members. "Zhengsheng, meet Lord Gang. He is the newest lord of the Feline Clan. The position is as given to him due to the last one who had no heir but also due to his dominance out of the rest in the Feline clan." Lord Zhong introduced Mu Zhengsheng to the newest lord of the Feline Clan known as Valley of the Sun.

"Nice to meet you, Lord Gang." Mu Zhengsheng greeted seeing the that he was a well respected man. Rumors of him being born and raised on the mortal realm had immortals and deities speak terribly about him but Mu Zhengsheng could see that this lord was well disciplined and respectful. 'An immortal like this would be a great ruler. Although he may have been born in the mortal realm then he can understand the mortal and immortal beings perspective resulting in good decisions in the future.' Mu Zhengsheng thought in his head seeing how Lord Gang was knowing two kinds of life and realms.

"It is good to meet you all. It may be my first time ruling for such a clan rather than a kingdom back in the mortal realm." Lord Gang said having to look to both to them.

"You will get the hang of it soon. It won't be that difficult if you have such dominance in you." Mu Zhengsheng wanted to have it cleared with him. Being the most dominant had its purpose in ruling the clan.

"I've heard about a recent incident that had occurred in your clan. Is everything alright?" Lord Gang asked having to see that Mu Zhengsheng was still there talking to him. Lord Zhong was speaking with other lords and ladies of the clans.

"Which incident?" Mu Zhengsheng asked giving him a look as if he didn't want the topic to be said.

"I heard that the Fox Princess has disappeared for quite some time now. Have you found any leads?" Lord Gang told Mu Zhengsheng who nodded to his response and question.

"En, my little sister was likely kidnapped. There are those who want her gone and only me who wants to protect her." Mu Zhengsheng said looking to Lord Gang who gave him a look as if he can read him.

"You are still young but I can see that you have a great nature and you are also well disciplined. Your mother must have taught you and your sister well." Lord Gang said having to see Mu Zhengsheng's expression change.

"My mother passed away when we were both very young." Mu Zhengsheng said having Lord Gang have a feeling of guilt for mentioning it.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have-"

"No, it's alright. Many already know the story, but you don't so its good that you know more of my clan as well." Lord Gang nodded having to see how Mu Zhengsheng looked to his cup of tea. They had sat around the table having to just stay in their spots. "The time that my mother had my little sister. She told me that I had to protect her no matter what even if she was different from the rest. We cannot misjudge the little one even if no one sees her true form and value."

"Is there something different about your sister from the rest?" Lord Gang asked since he had no clue about it.

"En, my little sister doesn't have a human form like us." Mu Zhengsheng said having Lord Gang quite surprised.

"Why is that?" Lord Gang asked having to feel the curiously hit him.

"No one knows why. My little sister doesn't have a single trace of showing any change in her body." Mu Zhengsheng said having to look down disappointed having him think about how he couldn't help Mu Shao Qing in any way.

"I'm sure your sister is fine. Judging from how you can tell me all of this tells me that she isn't one who will give up easily." Lord Gang said having Mu Zhengsheng smile to such response that even a stranger he just met would say something positive.

"Thank you." Lord Gang gave a look to him which he didn't understand why Mu Zhengsheng had a look of happiness for the first time. "Ever since then, you've been the only one whose ever said that. No one acknowledges her like that. I can see why you were chosen to be the next lord." Mu Zhengsheng said having to see Lord Gang a bit surprised by the words.

The meeting had ended with everyone leaving. Mu Zhengsheng was about to leave when Lord Gang went up to him. "Lord Gang? Is there something you wish to tell me?" Mu Zhengsheng questioned seeing how Lord Gang has been nothing but nice to him.

"If you ever need my help then just come by to the Feline clan. I will have my gates open for you." Lord Gang handed Mu Zhengsheng an amulet of a Lion just like Fang Teng Fei's but with a different color.

Mu Zhengsheng took it and saw how it can have a high price for it but the need of finding his sister was far more important. "Thank you, Lord Gang." Seeing Lord Gang leave now. Mu Zhengsheng had He Lanying come back who bowed greeting him.

"Prince Zhengsheng, I've found some clues that involves Madam Chyou."

"Good, tell me everything."
