Chapter 9

Mu Shao Qing yawned seeing how she was still in Evergreen Palace. The place never got boring mostly with Lord Yi always hanging around her. "Little fox, I'll be going today to meet the Celestial Emperor. He wants to discuss the event still about having a Princess from the Demon Realm marry his eldest son, Prince Huang Fu." Mu Shao Qing listened having to see how calm Lord Yi was just saying it. He didn't seem to mind mentioning it to her since he was so used to her presence around. "This has been a vow and promise between the Demon and Celestial Realm. We will wed the younger generations together and that is what will seal our alliance. Although..." Lord Yi stopped having Mu Shao Qing whine going up to him.

He seemed a bit lost in his thoughts but she rubbed her head against his. Whining to see if he was upset about something which she can tell from his look. Feeling his hand rub against her head, Mu Shao Qing whined seeing how she was able to have his mind at ease a bit. 'Lord Yi, you should be alright soon. The realms will soon be in peace. I will repay your kindness in the future.' Mu Shao Qing said having to watch Lord Yi get up and pet her head before leaving. 'I guess I can go see Lifu now.' Mu Shao Qing started running out of the Evergreen Palace having to find Fang Teng Fei's palace.

Sniffing around, she stopped to see Fang Teng Fei holding Liu Fu Juan while they watched Fang Lifu play in the yard. Mu Shao Qing smiled in her head seeing how the whole family was so sweet to another. She couldn't wait until they had their child.

"Teng Fei?" Liu Fu Juan called out to her husbands name while Mu Shao Qing paused to see what she was going to say.

"Hm?" Fang Teng Fei glanced down to see Liu Fu Juan who looked up to him.

"I'm worried. What happened in the mortal realm was some time ago but I'm still worried. Our duty may be done but I fear that something bigger is bound to happen to the lords and ladies even both emperors." Liu Fu Juan held tightly onto his hand having Mu Shao Qing tilt her head to see how both were in a conversation that she did not understand. Staying low, she wanted to be able to see and hear what they were talking about. It was rather strange for her to want to know since she was more worried about Lord Yi since he may be involved.

"It happened in the past. Lord Yi would not allow Ding Jia to break free from her prison. He is a strong emperor and ruler. If he is ever in danger then we will help him as he has saved us in the past." Fang Teng Fei said having to kiss Liu Fu Juan's head after.

'Lord Yi also saved them. He saves a lot of people even though he isn't fond of them.' Mu Shao Qing smiled in her head knowing that Lord Yi was who he was and no one could change him.

"But... he has been getting weaker. There has been rumor that he still is ill." Liu Fu Juan mentioned having Fang Teng Fei sigh and know the truth. Mu Shao Qing looked to them confused about the 'illness' that Lord Yi had. She never knew of it or heard of it. Lord Yi would look fine when she was there and she never really saw him sick in any way.

'What are they talking about? Is Lord Yi really sick as they say he is? What happened? How did he get sick?' Mu Shao Qing was stuck again which a small cub figure had pounced onto her. Mu Shao Qing was flat on the soil ground having to whine and wiggle to get up.

"Your here!!!!" Fang Lifu was excited having to not notice that Mu Shao Qing was being suffocated at the bottom.

"Lifu! Get off her!" Liu Fu Juan yelled having to notice which Fang Lifu immediately got off see Mu Shao Qing barely able to pick herself up. Mu Shao Qing croaked having to thank Liu Fu Juan for saving her before she could've been labeled dead by accident. "Lifu, you should know that since she is more smaller than us that you have to be careful. We are bigger beings which we can kill little and small beings." Liu Fu Juan told Fang Lifu who nodded and whined having to rub against Mu Shao Qing.

Mu Shao Qing smiled rubbing her head against Fang Lifu who was feeling terrible for what she did. "Oh, who is this?" Mu Shao Qing perked her head up to see another couple who were still looking somewhat young but also in their mid-forties. The women and man had the same eye colors like Liu Fu Juan but individually.

"Mother. Father. I didn't know you both were visiting. Father, how is the new clan?" Liu went up hugging her mother then to her father.

"It is alright. We came here to see you and of course our grandchildren." Liu Gang said having to catch Fang Lifu who purred seeing her grandfather. "How is grandfather's little granddaughter?" He smiled seeing how she had truly favored her grandfather.

Fang Lifu shifted seeing her grandfather and smiled. "I've been having a lot of fun! Mother and father have been also busy with little one! How are grandfather and grandmother?!" Fang Lifu looked from Liu Gang to Xue Liang who chuckled seeing a bright child in the family. Mu Shao Qing sat down still watching the family and seeing how a real family would act this way.

"We've been doing fine. When there is time then we will have you come over and sleep with us." Xue Liang said having to lightly pinch her granddaughters cheeks. Liu Gang and Xue Liang then looked down to see Mu Shao Qing who bowed in respect to them.

Liu Fu Juan had almost forgotten to introduce her. "This is Fang Lifu's friend but also Lord Yi's companion. She has been living with him for some time now. We just call her little fox." Liu Fu Juan said smiled to them all. Mu Shao Qing lightly barked seeing how everyone was so kind to her. Liu Gang knelt down and pegged her head.

"Nice to meet you. I hope that you are not being squashed by my granddaughter." Liu Gang said having Mu Shao Qing look away nervously since it happened not too long ago.
