Chapter 6

Evergreen Palace

Getting off the bed, she had hopped down hitting flat down while Lord Yi watched having the physician leave after checking up on her. Mu Shao Qing was about to be helped when she barked and growled wanting Lord Yi to back off.

She wanted to be able to go on her own now since it had been days and she felt like she was going insane if she didn't do things on her own. She didn't want to depend on anyone. Lord Yi had done so much having to take care of her wounds, changing them, putting medicine on them, even with having her try to walk again with his help. She felt like she was an infant again trying to crawl on her own.

Stumbling here and there, Lord Yi watched her walk on her own and rest for a certain time then walk again. Making it to the garden, Mu Shao Qing laid down restless but happy that she made it to her favorite spot.

"Will you allow me to pet you now?" Lord Yi asked having Mu Shao Qing yap happily. He smiled petting her head which she gladly accepted and happily glad that he had let her go on her own. Having to force herself back up after with the day ending. Mu Shao Qing sighed taking in deep breathes finally done with walking for the day.

Lord Yi had watched her all day having to see how she did not give up. Forcing herself to get better which he did not have to help but just watch her and see how she progressed.

That day, Mu Shao Qing was wondering around the Evergreen Palace while Lord Yi was gone. He had said something about going to the Demon Realm for a bit but not too long.

"Hey, have you heard that Lord Yi took pity on a spiritual fox?" Hearing servants around the Evergreen Palace talk Mu Shao Qing wanted time listen in on it.

"Really? Well, Lord Yi is the type who would take pity on such creatures. He sees them more valuable than deities and immortals. If he had to choose between saving a beautiful woman and a beautiful creature. He would of course choose the creature." The servants laughed while walking down the halls which had Mu Shao Qing lean in to look at their figures walking away. Making her feel like she was taking advantage of Lord Yi this way when she did not mean it that way.

Having to continue walking, Mu Shao Qing wasn't going to have rumors be told that Lord Yi was taking pity on the fox that was now crippled. 'I'm sorry Lord Yi. I've been taking advantage of your generosity. Now there are rumors being told about you." Mu Shao Qing sadly thought having her make it to the entrance of Evergreen Palace.

"Little fox?" Seeing a small figure in front of her, Fang Lifu appeared having to then carry Mu Shao Qing into her arms. "Since Uncle Yi isn't here then I'll take you with me home for today. I don't want you to be alone." Fang Lifu smiled picking up Mu Shao Qing. Mu Shao Qing whined looking up to see how innocent she was to just be so carefree.

'You are always so carefree from everything. I do not know what happened to your real parents but I'm sure that your adopted parents love you very much. I wish that I can have my parents love me as I am.' Mu Shao Qing said in her head having to recall the memories of her step-mother plotting against her. Then to her real blood father who could only think about the clan since it is his duty to watch his clan's image and reputation. It was understandable for her since she was an unfortunate princess born with no form but a fox.

"You seem very upset about something. Do you want to tell me about it?" Fang Lifu took her already to another palace which was the Celestial Palace. Being set down, Fang Lifu has shifted into a little mountain lion cub. "Do you want to tell me anything?"

Mu Shao Qing was a bit surprised but she hoped that Fang Lifu didn't think about anything terrible about her. "Nothing. Just worried that my friend will get into trouble." Mu Shao Qing said having Fang Lifu purr and rub against her.

"I can finally talk to you!!! I didn't know if we would still understand one another if I shifted." Fang Lifu said having Mu Shao Qing sigh to feel how different this was to be with another kind.

"Lifu, do not tell anyone that you can talk to me this way. I do not want to trouble anyone. This is a secret between you and me only. Okay?" Mu Shao Qing didn't want her to have anyone know of this. Fang Lifu nodded having to understand if it was bad for others to know and they were best friends now. Fang Lifu walked slowly leading Mu Shao Qing to her home which they both stopped to see a beautiful woman with violet and amber eyes.

'She's beautiful.' Mu Shao Qing said having to see her holding her slightly big pregnant belly but not too far along as if she was close to her due date. Fang Lifu ran up to the woman who petted her.

"Welcome home dear. Who's your new friend?" She said having Mu Shao Qing slowly walk up to her. Bowing her head, she always showed respect this way.

"Mother, this is the little fox friend that I have been telling you and father about! Isn't she beautiful?!" Fang Lifu said having her mother look up after hearing from the little cub.

"Oh, your the little fox that my daughter has been talking about. It's nice to meet you. I'm Liu Fu Juan." Mu Shao Qing bow knew that she was Prince Feng Tei's wife.

'Their child would be very beautiful or very handsome since both parents are beautiful and handsome.' Mu Shao Qing said having to see how they haven't had their first biological child yet.

"If Lord Yi is fine with this then you can stay here for today or as long as you want. Lifu usually never has anyone to play with so being with her seems good enough. As you can see, I'm currently pregnant." Mu Shao Qing listened to Liu Fu Juan having to understand that a pregnant woman needs to be able to have lighter duties. Mu Shao Qing nodded having to go up and rub against her leg and be understanding. "Thank you for understanding." She heard Liu Fu Juan say having Mu Shao Qing stuck with Fang Lifu all day but barely able to move too much due to her still recuperating.
