Chapter 3

Gabrielle blinked a few times as she stared at the face of the young man in front of her. She could not understand if she was deaf to what she had heard earlier.

"N-Nanny?" she exclaimed.

"Uhum, nanny." Chase replied.

He smiled in amazement when he saw that Gabrielle was shocked by what he said. Her forehead furrowed and her beautiful eyes remained staring at his face. Gabrielle took a deep breath.

"Aren't you old enough to have a nanny?" she asked.

Chase raised his right eyebrow and frowned at the girl.

"Old..?"

Gabrielle simply bit her lip so hard. The man seemed stunned by what she said.

"I-I mean... You're old enough to have a babysitter?" she recovered from what she had said earlier.

The man nodded softly.

"Okay... You know Gabo..."

Her ear tingled.

"What did you say?!"

"Gabo. Isn't your name is Gabrielle? Then, that's your nickname, Gabo."

She frowned at the man. She think, he retaliated and her name was beaten. Chase continued to speak.

"As I was saying ..."

"Okay, what it is?"

Chase grabbed his chin.

"Fine. You know, my housemates are complete here. I already have a cleaner, a laundress, and a cook. I already have a gardener. So I just need a Nanny."

"Huh, just a nanny?" she repeated.

As if it doesn't seem to have been chosen yet ah? She shook her head. She should not act anymore because she needed its help.

"Uhum. Like I said before, I will pay you 7k every fifteen days. In a month, your total salary is staggering 14k."

She did not know if her eardrum had exploded at what she heard. It was a big amount!

"S-Seriously?!" she said in amazement.

The young man shrugged. Indicates that it just ignores that value.

"Well. I'll flush." Chase's arrogant language.

Gabrielle counted her fingers and thought deeply... Then she looked at the face of the man who was watching her. He raised his right eyebrow at her but she smiled sparingly at him.

"When will I start?!" her excited language.

"Now. But first of all, follow me. We will go to your room."

Gabrielle looked around. The spaciousness and the splendour of the room. What she sees is pure blue. It has its own bathroom and a large walk-in closet.

"Isn't this going to be my room?" she asked.

Chase folded his arms.

"If you want to share with me, it's okay. For your information, this is my room."

Gabrielle's eyes widened and her whole face warmed. Chase smiled teasingly at her and she frowned.

"Okay, where will my room be Sir?" she just spoke politely.

"Come on, Gabo. Follow me."

Chase turned around and walked away. Gabrielle clenched her fists. She loves to throw her traveling bag in his wide back. Gabo?! It tarnishes the beautiful name that her mother gave her! If she didn't really have to hide from her Aunt, she would not have agreed to this one's offer. Also, she could not resist its offer because the salary was high. She needs money so she can start her new life. She carefully followed it and just looked around. The man is really rich... She looked at a big picture hanging in the spacious hallway. She was stunned and released the traveling bag she was carrying. She approached the picture. A group of men in cool military uniforms lined up and they were holding firearms... And her arrogant boss was involved. Men in Action! She can't believe it, it says he is a businessman?!

Chase, on the other hand, stopped walking when he felt that his companion was no longer following him. He turned around and saw Gabrielle looking at the big picture. It looks at the people there one by one. He walked over to it and stood behind Gabrielle. He also looked at the picture of their friends. That big picture was taken before the end of the war. They are still complete there. He smiled.

"Those are my crazy friends."

Gabrielle was startled when she heard the man's voice. She loves to turn around to see it but when she does that, she might kiss its lip. She could feel his hot breath against her. He pointed to the comrades in the picture one by one and almost hugged her because of that... My Vegetables! It is intense to have such a handsome boss?

"The one next to me is Cleric, our leader. He is the leader of the whole team and in all nonsense, this is his brother Clide, this is the rude Ervine. Papa Siege, this is the stingy Aeon... This is Rouge's heart of stone, Venom feeling, this is the stuck Aidan. After he spoke, the man walked away. Gabrielle took a deep breath before entering the room. She arranged her things and prepared for a quick bath. Meanwhile... Chase stop walking when his phone rang. He angrily answered Sky's call.

"How was she?" Sky said in straight.

"She's fine." he answered quickly.

He then immediately ended the call. He did not know but he was suddenly irritated with Sky since yesterday. Sky was stunned to look at his phone. Chase drop his call immediately. But after that a silly smile flashed on his lips.

"He's jealous. Ha ha ha, I'll tease you Chase. Get ready for me!" he laughed.

An idea was playing on his brain. Meanwhile, after Gabrielle took a bath and got dress, she left the room. She frowned hesitantly because she did not know where the commander of the house was. She is just new here. She took a deep breath and walked. Then, come what may. She stopped walking when she met an elderly woman. It smiled at her sparingly and she also smiled back.

"Sir is sending you. By the way, I am Aling Tale, I am Sir's cook and his butler. Let's go."

"Thank you. I'm Gabrielle-"

"I know, child. Sir already mentioned you. Let's go and have breakfast. You didn't eat dinner last night because you were so sleepy."

She hesitated to smile at the old woman. She walked and she completely followed it. They go down the spiral staircase. Moments later they reached the spacious dining room with a long table. The food was served, she swallowed and her stomach swelled. Fried rice, eggs, hotdog, tapa, sausage and eggplant tortilla... There are bananas and mangoes for dessert. Chase looked at her and smiled sparingly.

"Sit here next to me."

She quietly followed. She was excited to eat breakfast. She quickly sat down next to Chase.

"Gabo, get me some food and then feed me. You have to feed me first before you have breakfast."

She stared at Chase in amazement.

"Oh, aren't you my nanny?" raised eyebrows in this language.

She threw a sharp stare. Bad trip, she still thought that she could eat right away. She spooned it with rice and took the dish. Aling Tale laughed looking at them.

"Nanny said, maybe this one is looking for a wife." its weak language.

"Aling Tale, what is that?" Chase ask..

"Nothing Sir, I'll make you some coffee."

Aling Tale turned around and went to the kitchen. Chase turned to Gabrielle again.

"Oh, what are you waiting for, feed me so I can eat. I'm hungry."

"Are you really serious?!" maiden complaint.

"The size of my salary to you so it should be worth it."

Gabrielle stared at the young man before she feed it.

"Hmm... Manang Tale's tapa is really delicious. The best in town!" he said after chewing.

Because of that, her stomach was churning... And because she was annoyed, she took a large pile of rice and a dish. She quickly spit it out of his mouth.

"I wish you would choke." she whispered.

Chase frowned at her but could not speak because he was busy chewing. She took the opportunity, she ate some food. She is really hungry. She drank a few more times of water and when the hot coffee brought by Aling Tale arrived, she was the first to drink it.

"Wait, you should fed me first before you eat!" complaint of the young man.

"Yes, sir." her sarcastic language.

She was about to give it a food when Junior Agent Guile arrived. This is Aling Tale's eldest child. Chase is the one who recruit it in Men in Action.

"Sir, good morning! How are you..."

Guile was unable to speak because he was stunned by the scene. Amaze, he looked at the woman with his bossing. She is the woman that he investigates last night?! And now, his boss’s girlfriend?! The speed ah?!

"Oh, Guile! Come on, sit down and have breakfast. Here it is oh, Gabo. My nanny!" arrogant language of his crazy boss.

"Nanny?!" Guile's puzzled language.

"Uhum! Come on, let's eat!"

The young man scratched his neck and shook his head.

"Later, I'll just go with Mom. Where is she?"

"In the kitchen." Chase replied.

Guile just waved and went straight to the kitchen.

"Extraordinary! Get a babysitter? He is too old. And he really took a beautiful nanny?!" he couldn't help but comment.

He heard his mother's weak laugh in front of the sink and washing vegetables.

"Maybe Sir wants a wife and not a nanny?" suddenly its language.

He was dumbfounded for a moment and then he smiled.

"Yes, mom. Maybe he wants a wife and not a nanny? That one is really crazy."

Guile just brewed coffee but as he did so, he simply watched the dining room. He saw the two fighting while eating. And his Sir Chase, he is like a child fed by his nanny?!

"Your cruelty Sir Chase, I have nothing to say." he exclaimed.
