Chapter 2
Meanwhile... Chase gently laid the sleeping woman on his bed. He fixed it and then he came out. He went to the veranda and looked at the vast land he owned. He grabbed his chin. He did not know how long the tranquilizer would have on the woman. He was caught in the identification card he took from it.
"Gabrielle De Jesus..."
He looked at his laptop and searched for classified information about it...
"Hmm... She was the only child of her mother. Her father was unknown."
He picked up his phone from his desk. He dialled the number of Junior Agent Guile.
"Sir?!" language of the young man.
"I have something to ask you. A simple investigation..."
"Okay, Sir. I'm not busy right now."
Chase has already told the Junior Agent in detail. After he spoke to him, he immediately ended the call and then breathed violently. What is he doing and what does he care about this person? When it wakes up and is okay it is free to leave. His responsibility is over.
The next day... Gabrielle slowly opened her eyes. She rubbed her nape. After that, she hugged tightly to the soft and fragrant pillow next to her. She did not remember anything but the softness of the bed she was lying on. She closed her eyes again... She heard the door open and the footsteps approaching. She then felt the bed slump on her side. It was there that she opened her eyes and she blinked a few times when she met the person she first saw in the morning.
"Good morning. It's good that you're awake. How are you? How are you feeling?"
Gabrielle was stunned and did not know if she would speak or what. She just looked at the man. He was wearing a black shirt and green basketball shorts. His long hair was still a bit wet and she could smell his fragrant body. She thought, she did not remember anything.
"W-What happened?" she suddenly asked.
"Huh, you don't remember?"
She shook her head.
"You know because last night...We are both very drunk and we have not restrained ourselves and..."
The girl quickly looked at herself and felt. After that, she angrily looked at the man's face.
"Liar!" she spoke softly.
Laughing it peace sign her before speaking.
"Sorry, the tranquilizer hit you yesterday and you suddenly fell. You, I warned you not to enter my yard but you did not listen. The place you pass ,we often use as training ground by my friends. Then, yesterday we had a simple prank with my friend Sky and according to him, you were accidentally hit by his tranquilizer..."
Gabrielle didn't get much of what the man was saying but she quickly rubbed her neck. She swallowed and felt anxious.
"Don't worry, it's non-toxic."
Then she realized when the man spoke again. She got up quickly and she saw her bags on the side.
"I'm really sorry, I won't do it again. Sorry for bothering you. I need to leave." her language was confused.
She had already taken her bags.
"And where are you going?"
She suddenly faced the man.
"You don't care anymore..."
Chase sighed deeply.
"Did you know that during these times your Aunt, Miss Gabrielle De Jesus, is hunting you. She is very angry with you and be ready when she catches you. She intends to sell you to a pimp..."
The girl was stunned and looked at the man.
"You stow away, didn't you?"
Gabrielle was so amaze by the man.
"How did you know all that?!"
The man cross his legs and held on to his chin. Gabrielle was suddenly sweating, obviously an influential person in front of her because he learned a lot about her immediately. And she was more worried when she found out that her evil Aunt was looking for her. She clasped her hands and then turned her attention back to the man in front of her.
"I can find out everything as long as I want. I did a background check and investigation to make sure, I didn't bring a bad person here to my house. And you are not a bad person but you have to hide and escape."
"That's my problem." she answered boldly.
The man raised an eyebrow at her.
"I'm not your enemy."
She suddenly felt ashamed because of what the man had said. It even helped her to be able to hit it.
"I'm sorry, I'm just confused."
She wiped her cheeks with tears. She looked up to stop her tears from falling.
"Because... I have been able to pay my debts for a long time What else does she need from me?!" her crying language.
Chase frowned when he saw the woman's face was already red and her tears were already dripping from her eyes.
"You don't have to worry. We may not have had a good encounter yesterday but I am here to give an offer..."
Gabrielle simply wiped away her tears and looked at the man.
"What offer?"
A frugal smile flashed across his lips as he stared at her.
"I know you have nowhere to go. You need a place to live and you need more money. So I thought of giving you a job. What a relief that happened to you yesterday."
Gabrielle suddenly felt better. She lost her anxiety. If yesterday, she was very annoyed with its arrogance and rudeness... Now, she suddenly liked the man. She lost her thought when the man suddenly spoke.
"Oops, sorry. I haven't introduced myself formally yet. My name is Chase Vallejo and I am a businessman. You don't have to introduce yourself to me because I already know your name."
Gabrielle nodded softly and simply smiled.
"Stay-in here at home and I'll pay you every fifteen-."
She cut off the other things the young man had to say because it seemed like the speed of it eh she had not answered yet and she did not know the offer.
"Wait, I still don't agree because I don't know what job you are saying..."
"Your job is easy."
"What?"
The man stood up and approached her. She was amazed at it. He smiled sparingly as he stared at her face.
"Your job here will be simple."
She swallowed.
"W-What is the job?"
"To be my nanny."
Gabrielle's lips parted but she could not speak. Suddenly her brain went blank.
