CHAPTER 8

Naina's POV

I was now on Naaz aunty's floor.

"Naina I am not very sure that we can go for coffee now there's an emergency so I'll have to leave" she said.

"Is everything okay. If you want I can come with you" I offered.

"Oo no no everything is fine nothing to worry we can go on coffee some other time. Okay?" She asked.

"Okay" she said that and then entered the other lift. I guess no one is allowed to use Mr. Rai's private lift except him but then why did the receptionist asked me to use it.

"Now how are planning to go home" suddenly Mr. Rai asked.

"Maybe I'll hail a cab or something" while looking at my phone " I'll book an Ola"

He then snached my phone and said "No need I'll drop you"

"Oh no no it's okay I'll manage you don't have to take the trouble" I replied.

"You can't say no to someone who is your boss" I said with a smirk.

"You are not my boss" I said while narrowing my eyes.

"Ooo yes I am" he said with the same smirk plastered on his face.

I didn't had any other choice it was late and besides it was Delhi so I agreed "ok"

As soon we got out from the elevator he made his way to the basement.

There was a sleek Mercedes parked. It was really very sexy looking car.

"Dr. Naina get in" Mr. Rai ordered.

It was really nice from inside. The seats were comfortable.

"You don't have a driver?" Soon I realised what I have said. Opps. "I didn't mean to say that. You know it's just-- I am sorry" what are you doing Naina I scolded myself.

"It's okay I understand watching a CEO of a multinational company driving his own car without a driver not usual. Right?" He said in a calm voice. "But don't worry I have my bodyguards following my car wherever I go" he said with a smirk.

"Why use use another car and what about the fuel you are wasting I mean there is a lot of room for two people" I said.

"Four. Four bodyguards. There are four bodyguards in that car" he replied calmly.

"Why so many I know you are an important social figure. But isn't it too much"

"Safety purposes Dr. Naina" he was now getting irritated. So I didn't ask any further.

"Take a left from here" I told him.

"What no more questions already tired" he said.

"You were getting pissed off so I didn't asked any further" I replied.

"So that's the advantage of being a phyciatrist I guess" he said with a smirk.

"Yes I guess you know when to stop. Take a right turn fro that shop" I said.

I saw someone standing on my gate I think it's Kabir he was calling someone maybe me.

"Yeah just there at the black gate" I said.

"Who's that at your gate" he asked.

"I don't know maybe Kabir let me check" I said while coming out of the car.

As soon as Kabir saw me he shouted "Nainaaa where were you everyone was so worried at least you could have called or messaged me"

"Really Kabir check your inbox I messaged you I will be getting late as I have to give some files to someone," I said while he was checking his inbox.

"Ooh yeah you had messaged but wait for you the hell checks messages today you should have called," he said. While making faces at me.

I raised eyebrow "Stop okay just stop okay"

"Ahh anyways Mr Rai this is Kabir my cousin" I turned around he was just behind me.

"Kabir this is Mr Rai- Kabir Kabir" I never thought that Kabir would be so shocked to meet Mr Rai. He soon came back to his senses.

"Ooo my goddddd I can't believe that The Arjun Rai is really in front of me" his mouth was still open.

"Hello, Mr Kabir" he held his hand. They shook their hands.

"Okay the Dr Naina I'll see you tomorrow in the hospital," he said.

"Yeah sure," I said with a smile.

"Mr Rai plus come, have dinner with us after all you took the pain to drop my stupid idiotic useless cousin home. Please do come I insist" Kabir said. And bow I was now fuming with anger.

Mr Rai let out a little laugh "no I don't think so that would be appropriate and dropping Dr Naina it was nothing"

"Please everyone of us will like if you would join," Kabir said.

I was still angry at Kabir. How dare he insult me like that and that on front of my patient's guardian.

"Right Naina!" Kabir said.

"What," I asked.

"It's okay I'll come some other time" with that Mr Rai left.

I was still shooting daggers at Kabir.

"What?" Kabir asked while turning to me.

"What what? Haven't you realised yet Kabir? How you insulted me in front of my client. If you think your behaviour was cool then it was not okay. You can't behave so childish every time" I was so very annoyed.

"Okay I am sorry," he said with an apologetic face.

"You better be" I screamed.

After that I had my dinner dad asked how my day was and I said fine while glaring at Kabir.

I then went to bed I checked my phone it had notification one of them was from Mr Rai. He'd called.

Should I call him or should I not. Let me call.

Ring ringring ringring rin--

"Hello" it was really manly.

"Mr Rai it's Dr Naina. You called?"

"Yes I cared just to make sure if you are fine"

"What will happen to me!" I said with a little laugh.

"No, I just wanted you to know that whatever your cousin said about you it really didn't affect my opinion about you"

"And what is your opinion about me," I asked not so sure about my question.

"Well that you are a hard-working girl you are beautiful inside out"

"Really?!?!" I asked like a child.

He laughed a little and then said "Really. Okay then it's quite late I guess you should sleep now. Good night"

"Good night" I then hung up.

Really Arjun Rai said something like that to me.
