CHAPTER 10

Arjun's POV

I knew that was a great businessman but today I am sure. Because I just signed maybe the biggest deal of the decade. This deal will not only bring me fame but also a very big profit. I was still in the meeting when my phone started ringing It was a call from Naina why is she fine. I excused myself and then went out.

'Hello, Naina are you fine. What happened" I asked in a concerned tone.

'Everything is fine can you please come to my house right now?" She asked.

'Yea bu-

"Thank you and please bring Jai also with you okay bye" and then abruptly she hung up.

What was that! Well, then I asked my driver to pick Jai and bring at Naina's house.

I was now standing outside Naian's house. When I rang the bell the door immediately opened revealing my mom. Wait what mom!?!?!?! Am I dreaming?

"Arjun where is Jai?" She asked in a semi-angry mode.

"Mom what are you doing at Naian's house," I asked in a confused tone.

"First tell me where is Jai?" She asked.

"He will be here in ten fifteen minutes. Now, will you tell me" I asked her again.

"Acha comes in," she said and then closed the door behind her.

"Come come" why isn't she telling me. And where is Naian?

As we reached the living room I saw my dad sitting and talking to I guess who was Naian's father.

"Ooo Arjun come we were waiting for you only" dad said. "Arjun meet my school friend and Dr Naian's dad Ram Bhardwaj" dad introduced.

'Hello sir and I am Ar-" I was interrupted.

"Ooo come on who doesn't know you The Arjun Rai I have read articles about in newspapers but I never knew you were Swadarsh's son," Mr Bhardwaj said. "Please have a seat"

Mom entered the room "Uma come this is Arjun my son and Arjun she is Naina's mom" Mom introduced her.

"Hello ma'am," I said with a smile.

"Ooo please don't call me ma'am you can call me aunty if you want," she said with a smile. Which was similar to Naian's smile.

"And that is Nandini Uma's elder daughter"

"Hello" she replied with a smile.

"And that's Akki-"

"Naina's niece. I have met her right Akki" I said while giving her a high five.

"Yes," she giggled.

Then the doorbell rang. It was Jai.

Mom dad both hugged him.

It was almost half an hour and she was still not here where is she. Wait why are you getting so restless do you like her Arjun maybe. Just then the doorbell rang Naina's sister went to open the door. This time it was her. She had a lot of bags in her hand and Kabir was just behind her carrying equal bags.

"Goddd why are all the supermarkets are crowded," she said whole giving some bags to her sister.

"That's why I guess they are known as supper market" her sister replied with sarcasm dripping from her tone.

"Yeah. Whattteverrrr" Naina replied.

"Hi Jai how are you" she asked as soon as she saw Jai.

"I am fine" he replied with a smile.

"Hello Mr. Rai sorry your mom dad asked me to do this otherwise I would have told you. Sorry" she said.

"It's okay but I liked it" I replied.

"Mausi where are my chocolates" Akki came running towards Naian.

"Akki I told you I won't be getting them. What did mum said no chocolates remember" she said coming down to her level.

"But I said I am sorry. Please one-piece" Akki pouted.

"Babu no means no you can not have them. Now go and sit with nannu. Go" she stood up. And walked towards the kitchen.

"So Arjun so how long have you stayed in Delhi," Mr. Ram asked.

"Well, almost my whole life. I did my schooling here and then I graduated from Oxford with a business degree and from then I am here doing business" I replied.

"That's great"

"Papa have you taken your medicines" suddenly from nowhere Naina asked.

"Ummm..... yes I have taken them"

"Don't lie chalo here" she gave him his medicines and water.

"Ram I thinks that's the benefit of having a doctor in your house," Dad said while laughing.

"Yes and this doctor is really very strict she doesn't care if that patient is her own father only. Right, Nai" Naina's father said.

"Yes," she said while smiling.

"Swadarsh Ram Arjun come dinner is served Naina can please call Jai and Akki" mom asked her.

"Yeah, sure aunty" she replied.

Soon everyone was in in the dining room I ended up sitting between Kabir and Naina.

Everyone was talking except me and Naina even Akki and Jai were also busy among themselves. Great. Just Great!!!!!

Soon our dinner was over Naina took our plates and her sister helped her.

"Will you people eat ice cream," Naina asked.

Before anyone could answer her father said "Obviously why did you got it then to eat only na"

Naina rolled her eyes isn't she scared of her dad I mean I shouldn't say this but I am scared of my father till now like not that much but I can't roll my eyes at him "Yeah right shouldn't have asked" with that she left the place.

My phone started ringing I excused myself and went out. It was Akshay, my friend.

"what is it? I am busy" i was really very annoyed.

"oh come on Mr. Hot Shot Billionaire don't be so busy that you forget your 'other' friend" he emphasised on word other.

"Akshay really I am never busy for you. What is it?" he was my childhood friend currently staying abroad.

"Well I am in Delhi it's my cousins birthday wanna meet up. Why don't you also come it's at Holiday inn it's a lunch some of her friends are also coming maybe we can find someone for you there " he said in an annoying manner.

"Have you talked to my mom?" I asked in a questioning manner.

"Yup"

"No wonder you are saying those things and I don't want you, people, to find anyone for me okay so just back off," I said in cold tone.

I realised that someone came in behind me I turned and it was Naina with an ice cream bowl.

"Eat it before it melts," she says with a smile. I took the bowl from her hand. I smiled back at her she was leaving but I took hold her wrist. She raised her eyebrows at me.

"Dude okay!"

I was so lost in her that I didn't even know what Akshay was saying so I absent-mindedly said okay and hung up.

"What" she giggled.

"Nothing" I replied. Looking at her.

"Then" she lifted up her wrist which I was still holding. "Do you wanna talk Mr. Rai?" she asked while smiling.

"Yeah just don't feel like going in there everyone is busy and I don't like when people ignore me"

She started laughing "What," I asked.

"You are behaving like a five-year-old kid like seriously. Everyone is ignoring me also it's just that your dad and my dad have met after a long time so they are not really caring for others so it's no big deal if you want i can give you company"

"Please" i was waiting to hear that only.

We talked for a while and then it was time to go home. It was a really hectic day.
