Chapter 5: School

“Yeah, sure let me ask my butler to get you” she responded “Thank you” she said before dropping the call. A few minutes passed and a gold Lamborghini urus stopped in front of her causing for her jaws to drop. “Are you Miss Zaylee Frost?” A guy in the driver seat asked. She just nodded still shocked at the beautiful car in front of her. “Please hop in, it’s getting late” The guy said before going out and opening the door for her to ride the back seat. She put her things inside first before riding the car.

Once she was settled inside the driver started the car to start their journey. The whole ride was filled with the radio’s music which relaxed her. Her eyes were focused outside taking in the night scenery of the city they were driving to. 10 minutes passed and they entered a private village filled with insanely huge houses she knows she can never afford.

As they passed by houses after houses, she felt so small in the world of the rich. They stopped in front of the largest house in the village that made her jaw drop. Of course, she lives in the largest house here she told herself as they entered the gates.

What welcomed her is a mansion with a full garden and a fountain in the center. Her eyes took everything in, from the different kind of roses in the garden to the large fountain at the entrance of the house. They stopped in front of the large double doors.

Zaylee carefully step out of the door which the maids opened for her. The double door opened in front of her revealing a Lilith in her pajamas with a gaming phone in her hands. “You’re here” she said once they made eye contact. She has a small smile in her face causing for her to return it.

“Yeah, sorry for crashing in your house, I don’t have anywhere to go” she said as she scratches her nape, embarrassed with the fact that she has to stay at her boss’ place. “It’s fine as you can see, I have plenty of rooms here” she said and chuckled. “Thank you for letting me stay here, I’ll move out as soon as I can” she said and bowed to her “Hey, it’s fine, Let’s get inside” she said and started walking.

They made their way upstairs with Lilith telling her places and where she can and can’t go. “And here is your room” she said once they stopped at a wooden door. She grabbed the knob and opened it letting Zaylee see the luxury of her room. It was dimly lit, but she can make out the large bed and a veranda. She turned to Lilith gave her a hug.

“Thank you for helping me twice now” She said as she buried enjoyed the embrace. “I will get something from this, so I’ll help you” Lilith said causing for Zaylee to pull out of the hug and looked at her shocked. “I’ll take my rest” she said and got inside leaving Lilith by the door, with furrowed brows Lilith made her way to her room.

Once her back made contact to the soft mattress she started feeling sleepy, she didn’t care if her clothes are uncomfortable, she just drifted off to sleep.

The morning sun kissed her face causing her to stir in her sleep, she suddenly jolted up when she realized that it was Monday. She grabbed her phone to look at the time. 6:30 it reads, she jolted up and headed to the bathroom to take a quick bath, her classes start in 30 minutes. She was done under 5 minutes—the fastest she ever took.

She put on a high wasted black short and a white shirt before tucking it in and putting a gray oversized jacket on. She grabbed her bag before heading downstairs she headed to the kitchen to grab a water before going but was greeted with a Lilith holding a sandwich looking like a kid though she is wearing her office attire.

“Why are you in a rush?” she asked. “I’m running late for school” she said and headed to the fridge. She got a scent of what Lilith was eating so her stomach grumbled. She heard a chuckle causing her to throw her a glare before drinking her water. She then rushed out of the house and walked towards the gates when a car suddenly horned.

“Get in, you won’t have a ride inside this village” Lilith said in the driver seat. Zaylee just nod before entering the car. She can’t afford to break her no late record since she’s running for valedictorian of her batch and she has many competitors. “Here” a sandwich was placed in front of her once she was finished putting on her seatbelt.

The car started moving before she could say anything. “Where’s your school anyways?” Lilith asked as she drove out of the village. “Ridgeview College” Zaylee answered as she was munching the sandwich Lilith gave her. “Oh, I came from that school” she suddenly said as she drives her way to the said school.

“So, you’re my senior?” Zaylee asked. “Yeah” Lilith nonchalantly answered. They soon arrived at the school and Zaylee immediately got out of the car and screamed a Thank you to Lilith before sprinting to her class. She almost bumped into 10 people but thankfully her fast reflex saved her.

She arrived in class before there teacher could enter. She made her way at the back seat like she normally does, in between the window and Fleur. Fleur’s eyes just follow her until she sat. “What happened to you? You never run this late” he asked. “Something just came up and I forgot to set my alarm because I was so tired yesterday” she answered and brought out her notebook and pen.

“We don’t have anything to do yesterday why are you tired?” he asked. Zaylee was about to answer when the teacher suddenly entered the class. This caused Zaylee to just shrugged and payed attention in front.
