Not Even My Stupid, Slutty Ex
It was almost Christmas and Perrie and Jade can feel it through the shivering cold breeze of the air that touched their skin everytime they went out. The feeling that made everyone feel ecstatic and eager to open up Christmas gifts as well as giving their loved ones presents. Perrie and Jade would be having their first anniversary and Christmas as a couple and they couldn't quite believe it.
The snowflakes were sticking to the window when Perrie decided to cook bacon and eggs for her lovely girlfriend. She thought it would be very caring of her if she did so. And seeing that she had woken up first, it would be the perfect time to cook breakfast for the beautiful lady.
And so after she was done trying to make the best breakfast, she plopped down on the sofa and watched Netflix, deciding to wait patiently for Jade to wake up. And after an hour of watching romantic and comedy shows on the television, Perrie heard a lame "Pez?" on the other side and smiled widely when a gorgeous and sleepy Jade appeared, rubbing the sleep off her eyes to see Perrie clearly.
"Goodmorning, sweetie."
"Morning, love." Jade replied, flashing Perrie her gorgeous morning smile that the blonde admired. Jade's cute little nose automatically sniffed the great aroma of the bacon and eggs and Jade's smile widened. "I smell my favorite, aye."
Perrie smirked. "Wanna eat?"
"Of course. Let's go."
Perrie was getting uncomfortable, shifting from one place to another. But this wasn't because of the wooden stool that had always been making her uncomfortable. It was because Jade was dangerously silent for quite a few minutes now, and this had Perrie worried sick because she and Jade would never let silence accompany them. She was just sitting there, watching Jade chew her cooked meal and at the same time wondering what's running around Jade's mind.
And so Perrie decided to break the unbearable silence, but not before Jade abruptly spoke. "Megan called me yesterday..."
Perrie's face cringed at the mention of the name. And the fact that this Megan girl had the balls to just call her girlfriend like that just made her want to choke the soul out of her. "What?"
"Megan called me. She told me she wanted to talk about the...you know, explain about the..." Jade tried to explain, though seeing the way Perrie's face cringe at the mention of her ex-girlfriend's name, well that was the most difficult thing she had to say.
"And what did you say?" Perrie grabbed the pitcher of water and poured herself a glass, not really sure what to do at the moment.
Jade thought about it, then spoke. "I agreed to meet with her."
Perrie choked on her drink, wiping the water that came out from her mouth and she looked at Jade. "You're going to meet with her? What? Why?"
"Perrie, you and I both know that I needed this. I needed to know the truth. I needed closure from her. Please, Pez, I can't just go on and accept the fact that she cheated on me without her giving me any explanation of why."
Perrie furrowed her eyebrows, not liking where this is going.
When Perrie met Jade at her favourite little coffee shop down the street, Jade was a mess. She was heartbroken because of Megan. During that time, Perrie didn't know what to do because she never had the experience of being cheated on. And so the only thing she could offer is to be there for the tanned beauty. Taking care of Jade when she goes home drunk, taking care of her when she goes back to the state of depression. And Perrie would always stay over at Jade's place because Jade didn't wanna sleep alone or she would go insane, which made Perrie infuriated.
She was enraged because of Megan, because of how heartbroken Megan made Jade feel. And when Perrie confessed to Jade about her undying love for the brunette, she made an oath not to become like the stupid, slutty ex.
It has been a year of being happy for the 2 Geordies and now that Megan called Jade to explain her motives, Perrie just couldn't believe it. Perrie snapped, "Then what? You're just gonna come back to Megan, is that it?"
Jade raised her eyebrows and looked at Perrie surprised, taken aback by the way Perrie talked to her. Jealousy and protectiveness evident in Perrie's firm tone, disapproval mixed with worry in her eyes she couldn't distinguish if Perrie really was mad. "Perrie, please do understand that I needed this."
Perrie just stared at her, not quite sure of what to say because she was awfully worried of Jade. Though the jealousy and possessiveness overtook her. "Fine. You can go and talk to her. I don't care. Actually, you know what? Why won't you just kiss her, too? You told me before she's a good kisser, right? I'm pretty sure she's still the best kisser you've ever had—"
"Perrie! What the fuck is wrong with you? Don't you trust me?"
Perrie shook her head and angrily stood up from the stool and stormed off the kitchen, leaving Jade fuming and wondering what the hell is wrong with having a closure with your ex. Though as much as she hates losing an argument, she just didn't want Perrie upset. And so she swallowed up her pride and trailed behind Perrie to apologize.
Jade heaved a sigh as she watches Perrie leaning on the armchair of the couch whilst watching a documentary show on the television. "Perrie..."
Perrie just took a brief glance at the brunette before looking back at the television again, trying so hard not to give in to her girlfriend. But when she sees Jade kneeling before her, holding both of her pale hands, she heaved a sigh and met the downcast gaze of Jade's eyes.
"I do trust you, Jade. It's your stupid, slutty ex I don't trust at all." She admitted.
Jade sighed. "Pez, I needed a closure. And this is the perfect opportunity to get what I needed. But please comprehend that I love you and not her."
"How will I know you won't fall for her again?"
"Because I've already fallen for you." Jade replied, kissing both of Perrie's hands as a sign of affection and gazed into Perrie's attractive blue orbs.
"Promise me you won't leave me, Jade...?"
Jade let go of Perrie's soft and delicate hands to cup Perrie's cheeks and planted a slow and soft kiss on Perrie's lips. "I promise, love."

"Thanks for agreeing to meet with me, Jadey." Megan spoke, sitting down on her seat in front of Jade as she removes her beanie to shake the snowflakes off her ombré hair before gazing at Jade. "I actually missed this, you know..."
Jade inwardly cringed at her previous nickname that Megan used to call her. Of course Perrie called her that but hearing Megan calling her by her nickname, well it felt uncanny.
Jade shook her head, frowning with disapproval. "Don't...call me that."
Megan looked at her. "Call you what? Jadey?"
"Yes. Don't call me that. Only my girlfriend gets to call me that."
Megan looked at Jade sadly and gave her a small smile. "I know what I did probably left you heartbroken and I am really sorry for that. The reason why I cheated on you was because...I needed you and you weren't there."
Jade looked at Megan incredulously and scoffed. She couldn't believe this bullshit. "I was there for you always, Megan. You were the one who wasn't. And now that you're the one who cheated on me you blame me with things I am not responsible for!?"
"I'm sorry, Jade. And I'm here now. I apologize for everything that I did and I want you to know that I still love you and I will never stop loving you. Please give me a chance and—"
"Fuck you." Jade interjected, her face red as a tomato, her teeth gritted and her eyes holding nothing but fury within them as they glare at the orbs of Megan's eyes. "Now that I have a loving and caring girlfriend you decided to come back into my life like no big deal? I love Perrie! I love my girlfriend and I will not let you destroy our relationship because I am in love with her! Goodbye, Megan. I hope I will never see you again."

Perrie was worried sick. She kept checking her phone every minute to see if the brunette had texted or called her back, but she recieved none of those and it aggravated her worry.
Maybe she still has feelings for that Megan bitch... Perrie thought to herself, which evidently did not help stop her negative thoughts from roaming freely around her brain. She paced around the room before she decided to sit down on the sofa, praying and wishing Jade would still choose her even if she had nothing to give to the brunette.
See, this was Perrie's weakness. Insecurity. She was insecured about herself, about her capabilities, about her in general. Always comparing herself with other people whom she thinks are better than her. Assessing herself based on her weaknesses instead of her strengths. She was just too insecure about herself and the fact that Jade decided to meet up with her ex-girlfriend who is, by the way, a prominent lawyer in their city...well it shredded her into pieces.
It was already 5 in the evening when Perrie decided to ease her mind for a bit and go make herself some pancakes, assuming Jade will go home late. But when Perrie stood up from the couch, the door flew open revealing the person whom Perrie thought she wouldn't see for awhile.
Jade took of her boots along with her sweater and her beanie and placed them on the the armchair nearby, shaking her hair before turning around to meet the surprised gaze of the blonde. She smiled at her. "Hello, love."
Perrie blinked a few times, still not quite believing the fact that Jade is already here. "Uhm, hello, sweetie. How was..."
Jade heaved a sigh before walking towards Perrie to wrap her arms around the blonde's torso and engulf her with a tight yet comfortable hug. "Perrie, I want to tell you something..."
Perrie gulped silently. This is it, she thought. Perrie's forehead produced beads of sweat because of the apprehension that is trying to govern her and she was consuming all of her energy to fight back. But the words that came out from Jade's mouth were something Perrie had hoped for but not expected.
"Perrie, I love you with all my heart. And I will not let Megan destroy what we have because what we have is something very special to me. You, Perrie Edwards, are very special to me. I remember the time when we first met, I was an absolute mess that time and you tried your very best to make me happy."
Perrie nodded, reminiscing through the indelible memories that made her ecstatic.
Then Jade asked, "Perrie, do you remember what you said to me when you acknowledged me in the coffee shop?"
Perrie smiled and nodded once again, "I said that even when you were frowning you were still beautiful."
"And you know what? That was the first time that made me smile despite all the sorrows that I had experienced. Perrie, you make me feel loved. You make me feel like I'm the only girl in the world, in your world. And I am very lucky to have you because people like you rarely come into people's lives and now that I have you I will never let you go. Perrie, I will not stop loving you, nor do I plan to do so. I will fight for you, for us. I will fight whatever gets in-between our relationship and believe me when I say that I will win because I know that my love for you is the strongest."
At this very moment, Perrie's tears were already rolling down her cheeks and Jade had to wipe them away with her thumb. "Perrie, marry me. Marry me and I swear nobody will get in-between us."
Shocked, Perrie gazed at her girlfriend who is apparently proposing to her. She questioned, "Not even your stupid, slutty ex?"
Jade nodded vigorously and pecked Perrie's lips. "Not even my stupid, slutty ex."
Perrie smiled brightly at her girlfriend's reassurance. She was used to people leaving her side but she knew that Jade won't do such thing. And so when she says "Yes.", Perrie knew that what she made Jade feel is something that she will make a habit of. Because Perrie loves Jade, and Jade loves Perrie.
