Summary
A collection of stories between Perrie and Jade.
Worst Yet Thankful Memory
Jade and I are together for 9 years now and to be honest, those weren't the years that we expected.
Of course, like regular relationships, me and Jade are very happy. But of course, we had our ups and downs.
I remembered how we almost broke up:
It was on June 1st of 2010, the week after our first anniversary, when I realized that our relationship wasn't strong enough anymore.
Before, we would always text cute messages, even naughty ones. We would always fetch each other from our universities even if it's raining and we had to walk all the way.
And now, we did nothing but fight over stupid things. Argue on why the other didn't go home. Argue on why the other didn't call back. And I'm kind of sick of it. I thought that I don't want a relationship like this. Everytime we fight, my heart breaks. I don't even know if she still loves me.
And now here I am, in Jade's doorstep, ready to let everything out. Ready to let go.
I find myself knocking on the door twice. Moving back as I heard footsteps shuffling towards the door as it flew open revealing my girlfriend.
"Pezza"
Before I even opened my mouth, Jade attacked me with a tight hug. Her forehead buried under my chin, her hot breath ironically sending me chills. It was this time I knew I had to do what is right.
"Jade, can we talk?" I questioned, rubbing my nasty sweaty palms to my light-washed jeans.
"S-sure, Pez" She said pulling away from our hug. I'm gonna miss this.
We walked to her room and my nerves are going out of control. My mind thinking of different scenarios as I try to remember my 'break-up' speech.
We both sat down and waited not a second before Jade crashed her lips onto mine. My eyes widening for this sudden move, but soon relaxed as I remembered how sweet Jade's lips tasted.
For a good minute, I pulled away knowing that if I give in any longer, it'll be harder for me to leave her.
"What's wrong, Pezza?" Jade questioned, her eyes filling the gaps of delight with concern and worry. I shook my head. Don't do this to yourself. Do what is right.
"Jade, we have to break up" I said, tears flowing from my eyes while I try to wipe them away. It was an awkward silence before Jade decided to speak for the sake of the two of us.
"B-break up?" She stuttered. Tears flowing from hers as well as she tries to keep calm.
"Jade, we both know that our relationship isn't bright anymore. We always fight over stupid things. We don't do what we usually do. We don't feel what we usually feel. And it's tiring to try to fix this because we'll end up failing anyway. I think it's best if we just... stop" I murmured, my hands cupping her cheeks, my thumb trying to get rid of these overflowing tears.
Then suddenly, I felt my hand being slapped away. She stood up angrily throwing things from her desk as she screams.
"Don't you love me anymore, Perrie!? Huh!? Am I the only one holding on to our relationship!? Why do you give up so easily!?" I flinched at the volume of her voice. She was never this mad.
I stood up and ran to embrace her, hoping it'll calm her down. Thankfully, it worked. Her sobs going louder while I soothed her back, hoping it will help her catch her breath.
Soon, we catch ourselves meeting each other's gaze. I forgot why I was here in the first place. Jade cupped my cheeks, rubbing them both with her two thumbs, still staring deeply into my eyes.
"Perrie, please. Please. Don't go. I don't know what I'll do without you. I promise I'll change. Give me a second chance and I swear I will make worthy of it." She said sobbing, amount of tears flowing again.
Her words bewitched me. I suddenly felt like whatever she said was true. I sometimes wonder if she casted a spell on me to fall hard for her. 'Cause until now, I still trust that she will change for me.
"Why do you keep doing this to me, Jade"
She smiled slightly as she leans her forehead onto mine, our noses touching.
"Because I love you, Perrie. And I will never lose you without a fight." She said slowly leaning as I did the same. Not a second before our lips connected. It was one of the few kisses that made me happy and satisfied.
"Happy anniversary, love" I snapped back to present once I felt lips on mine. But those weren't just lips, those lips were the lips of my loving and caring wife. I smiled as I leaned in for another kiss.
"Happy anniversary" I said sedately, closing my eyes as we both wrapped our arms on each other, dancing along to the slow music. Today is our wedding day, and our 9th anniversary. I still remembered how we almost broke up, I thanked God that I have Jade beside me, the Jade who never gives up no matter how weak our relationship is.
"Thank you, Jade" I said as I bury my face on her neck, feeling her chin on top of mine.
"For what, Pez?" She questioned. I pulled my head back, meeting her gaze and smiled at how beautiful my wife is.
"Thank you for not giving up. And I'm sorry if I let go easily." I said guilt building up as the memory flashed inside my mind once more before I felt a finger lifting my chin up.
"Don't be sorry. It was my fault. I remembered being distant from you, causing you to blame yourself for not loving me enough. It was my fault. I'm not perfect, Pez. But I'm sure that I'm perfectly in love with you" She said as we both leaned in for our 15th kiss as a married couple.
