Adorable Jealousy
It was a chilly Friday evening in the Edwards household. Jade and I were currently laying on the couch, cuddling and relaxing because today was a day for us to rest and release the fatigue that has caught us in the studio. Today also marks the day of the Glory Days album to be released and me and the girls just wanted to relax for a while before celebrating for the album release party which will be held tonight.
Me and Jade are actually waiting for Jesy and Leigh-Anne who are in the supermarket nearby whilst watching Tangled, which was evidently picked by none other than Jade herself. Actually, to be quite frank here, I kind of got bored of the movie but who am I to decline the pretty lady's offer, right?
"Pez?"
"Mhmm?" I hummed in response, my eyes switching from the flat-screen television to Jade's eyelids, flickering as she tries to look up to meet my gaze.
"I love you." She spoke softly, not realizing how adorable she sounded right now.
I smiled. "I love you, too."
"I'm hungry. Can I eat you instead?" She joked, smirking.
"I'm not a food nor a drink to satisfy your needs, Jade." I teased, though as much as I wanted to do it right here and right now with her, I'd rather be a good friend and wait until Jesy and Leigh are already gone for good.
Jade smirked at my statement and I saw a tint of redness coloring her cheeks, which made her look adorable—not like she's never adorable.
"Trust me, babe, you satisfy my needs." She spoke somewhat seductively and she sends me a wink afterwards.
This time, she made me blush madly. "You kinky little cow!" I gasped.
"What can I say?" Jade shrugged before leaning up to peck me on the lips. She smiles mischievously. "I'm your kinky little cow."
I leaned my head forward, desiring to feel Jade's lips on mine once more, but soon was interrupted by several knocks on the door and a "Perrie! Open up!" coming from the two girls.
I sighed and rolled my eyes. They couldn't have picked a better time to arrive. Jade giggled as she unwraps her arm from my body and leaned back on the other side of the couch, but not before she sends me a sneaky wink which I was glad I caught.
"Geez, Pez. Took you five minutes to open the door, huh?" Jesy teased as the girls stepped inside the house and dropped their grocery bags along with their purses on the glass coffeetable in the living room.
"Yeah, Pez. We assumed you guys must be doing it while me and Jess were grocery shopping, aye?" Leigh added, her smirk evident. She grabbed her waterbottle from her purse and started drinking.
"Actually, if you guys really took your time there, me and Pez would've done it probably twice." Jade chimed in, trying her best to stifle a laugh. She was obviously trying to make the afro girl choke from her drink.
And as expected, Leigh-Anne did choke from her drink and the rest of us started cachinnating by the sight. Leigh wiped the beads of water mixed with her saliva on her mouth and glared at all of us.
"Thanks, guys." She said sarcastically, earning a giggle from us in return.

"Pez? Are you ready, babe?" Jade called out from the other side of the door as she knocks on it gently.
"Just a minute, babe!" I responded, finishing up the touches before walking towards the door. I opened the door only to find the hottest person I have ever seen in my entire life. My eyes bulged out by the sight of seeing Jade in her maroon strapless cocktail dress, she was just too stunning to not be stared at right now.
"Damn. Babe, you're gorgeous." I choked out, not realizing that seeing Jade like this could suddenly take my breath away oh so quickly.
Jade's cheeks were flushed and she giggled adorably before cupping my cheeks with her palms. She cooed, "Believe me, Pez, you're way more gorgeous." before pecking my lips too quickly for my liking.
I smiled. "But you're ravishing."
"And you're beautiful."
"But you're more beautiful." I playfully argued, smirking though not really knowing what's going on.
"But you're the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on." Jade gave me a quick wink before pecking my lips. "And don't you dare argue with that." She spoke abruptly before I could even open my mouth to protest further.
"Girls! Let's go!" Jesy called from downstairs.
I kissed Jade's lips softly and pulled away only to see a wonderful smile plastered on my girlfriend's face. I leaned forward on her ear and whispered. "I would like to stay here with you a little longer..." I pecked her lips quickly before I continued, "but we have to go, love."
Jade pouted. "You're teasing me."
I smirked and grabbed Jade's hand and we both walked down towards the living room where the other two girls where laid back on the couch, too engrossed on their phones to be cognizant of me and Jade's presence in the room.
I cleared my throat before speaking. "Come on, ladies. We have a party to celebrate."
As if on cue, the girls' heads snapped up and met our gazes with their bright smile appearing and they both squealed "Finally!"
The four of us hopped inside our Limousine and ruined the silence with our talkative mouths whilst the car is moving towards a known club.
As we stepped in the club, a wave of relief flashed through me when I saw no people with a camera on their hands inside the club and I can finally breathe easily. I grabbed Jade's hand and intertwined our hands together and we both exchanged a smile to one another before heading towards an empty table.
When we reached the table, I squeezed Jade's hand and she turned around, looking at me expectantly.
"I'll just get us some drinks, yeah?"
Jade nodded before releasing my hand and plopped down on the leather seat of the table.
It was a few steps towards the bar when a clumsy person decided to bump into me, causing me to lose balance and thankfully the person was there to help me regain it.
This is one of the disadvantages of having to wear heels in parties.
As soon as I balanced myself already, I spun around to face none other than someone whom I thought I would never see again. I assessed his appearance and to be quite frank, he looked as charming as before. I smiled when I realized that whom I was looking at was the guy who treated me like a sister.
I squealed. "Luke! How are you!?" before engulfing him in a tight hug and he immediately wrapped his arms around me, hugging me as well. "It's been what, two years since we've talked?"
"Yeah!" Luke chuckled. He pulled away from our embrace and placed both of his palms on my shoulders. "Congrats on the album release, by the way. I heard your newest single, uhm, 'Shout Out To My Ex', yeah? It's really lit, bro."
I smiled and nodded. "Yeah, me and the girls kind of knew it would be a hit."
A few minutes passed by, I introduced Luke to Jade and I thought I saw a hint of jealousy hidden behind Jade's eyes, though I convinced myself it was just a hallucination.
The three of us talked about our lives, love lives, just talking about anything that informed us about each other. Though everytime Luke placed a hand on my shoulder, I could see Jade's face cringe subtly. Thankfully it's not too conspicuous for Luke to see because I wouldn't want Luke to be caught in the middle of our relationship.
"Hey, PerBear, do you remember the first time we swam in Uncle Ben's swimming pool for kids? Remember when you tried to attempt a front-flip dive on the pool 'cause you thought it was for adults, then when you did, you landed your bum?"
I laughed at the memory that sparked up in my thoughts. It was the most embarassing moment of my life. I was so determined that time, thinking some people would look up to me if I managed to do the front-flip dive successfully. But I guess instead of Luck being on my side, it's Misfortune.
"Oh God! Of course I remember that! Luke, what the fuck, man!" I laughed so hard I choked on my breath, causing both Luke and Jade to laugh as well. Though I once again thought I saw how Jade's eyebrows furrowed for a second and immediately recovered, but not quick enough for me to not catch it.
"Uhm. May I ask, why 'PerBear'?" Jade eventually questioned after what feels like an hour of cachinnating. Me and Luke both looked at Jade and I smiled.
"Lukey-boy here likes to tease me when we were young, babe." I explained to her, placing my hand on top of hers, smiling at the sight of seeing Jade beam.
"Ah, I see." was all Jade said before sipping on her mango shake that I ordered for her awhile ago.
Minutes turned into hours and the three of us soon found ourselves yawning after hearing ridiculous stories from one another and we soon went home. We decided to take an Uber since both Leigh and Jesy decided to be selfish and leave me and Jade in the club alone without having a personal driver or something.
"Luke seemed...friendly." Jade eventually remarked, breaking the comfortable silence between us at the backseat of the Uber car.
I nodded and took a brief glance at her before looking at the front, I find myself smiling. "Indeed, babe."
"You guys are really close, huh?" She deadpanned, causing me to look at her.
Arching an eyebrow, I stared at her with an addled expression. I nodded tentatively and spoke, "Uhm, yeah?"
"Okay, that's nice, I guess..." Jade made a face and shrugged before peering towards the window, trying to take interest on the trees outside.
I frowned at Jade's change of behavior and attitude. She seemed giddy and playful awhile ago, then she suddenly became like this. What has gotten into her now?
So I asked, "What's wrong, Jade?" only to get a lame "nothing" from the tanned beauty in return.
"Jade? Baby, seriously, what's the matter?" I asked again, this time I'm even more concerned about Jade's problems than having to give the driver no payment once we reach our apartment.
Jade finally moved her head and met my gaze, she smiles.
"Babe, seriously, I'm alright. The party just got me fatigued, that's all." She assured me before pecking my lips and turning her head back to peer at the outside once again. Leaving me frowning and wondering what would be running around in her beautiful brain.

As I changed into my usual sleeping attire, I walked downstairs only to be accompanied by murmurs coming from the kitchen and the aroma of baked cookies. I walked towards the kitchen and found Jade shaking her head whilst whisking something in a bowl. I was standing there for probably a minute already and I chuckled lightly, amused to the fact that Jade wasn't aware of my presence in the kitchen.
So I decided to interrupt. "What are you murmuring about?"
Jade jumped slightly, surprised to hear me and turned around with her scowl. "Jesus, Pez, you fucking scared me."
I laughed. "I'm sorry, babe." I walked towards her and wrapped my arms around her waist before I gave her a peck on the lips. I questioned, "Seriously, what are you murmuring about?"
Jade shook her head and shrugged, her brown orbs taking interest at anything but my blue ones. "Nothing." She replied lamely.
I smirked. "Are you keeping secrets from me?" I teased, though getting a hard slap on the arm in return is not what I anticipated nor wanted from the tanned beauty.
"Ouch!" I yelped, rubbing the sore area. I looked at Jade and saw her smirk creeping up, and I smiled because she looked adorable. "You're becoming aggressive, babe." I teased once more, and again getting another hard slap in response. "Ouch! Okay, seriously, babe, you're hurting me."
"Will you stop teasing me?" She pouted. I don't know if she knows this but seeing her pouting is already counted as a tease in my book.
I shrugged. "Not unless you tell me what you're mumbling about."
"I ain't mumbling anything, Pez."
"Yeah, sure. I heard you awhile ago, and if I remember correctly you were even fuming. You know, slamming the utensils on the counter."
"I'm not slamming the utensils!" She claimed defensively. But her expression right now showed otherwise. "I'm just simply placing them on the counter." She shrugged.
I sighed and placed both of my palms on her shoulders. "You know I'm your girlfriend, right?"
Jade nodded like a child. "I know..."
"And you know you can tell me anything...right?"
Once again, she nodded. "Of course."
"So, what were you mumbling about?" I attempted one last time.
Jade sighed, taking a deep breath before exhaling them and she spoke, "I guess I was just jealous of Luke and—"
"You were jealous of Luke?" I asked, my eyes widened as I stare at her incredulously.
Frankly, I didn't think Jade would be jealous of my best friend. But I guess I don't blame her. I mean even I got jealous of Danielle, her best friend whom she met during the X Factor days. They used to always hang out, even during the days when me and her are supposed to hang out on.
"Yeah..." Jade timidly muttered, frowning because her voice made her look weak.
"Why are you jealous of him?"
"Because you guys were hanging out and shit during the party. I don't know. It seems like I became a third-wheel for the both of you." She admitted, not looking at me in the eyes.
I cupped her cheeks with my hands, beckoning her to look at me and so she did. I grinned. "But you know I love you, right? And not him?"
Jade rolled her eyes at this and scoffed. She spoke as she glares at me. "Oh, you better be loving me alright."
I laughed and shook my head beforw leaning down to her to give her a soft kiss. "Don't be jealous, love."
"I can't help it. It just...happens. Everytime he touched you, you have no idea how much I wanted to slap his hand away."
"Really? So when I saw you frowning, you were planning a murder for Luke that time?"
"Honestly, yes."
I smiled. "Cutie. I should make you jealous more often if you're gonna be adorable like that."
"Whatever. I love you." She spoke.
"I love you, too." I replied.
And we both leaned in for a long and passionate kiss, followed by a wonderful night to remember.
