CHAPTER 5
Subtitle: ENGAGED FOR THREE YEARS.
(Loving you wasn't part of the deal)
A&G Industrial Corporation....
Arianna sat in her office absentmindedly, she stared at the engagement ring on her finger and many questions filled her mind.
'Why did he engage me when he knew he wasn't ready to marry me?' She thought.
She sighed.
Suddenly Karen walked into the office and she met Arianna lost in thought as always, her eyes went to the engagement ring, she scoffed angrily.
"Arianna!" Karen called but she got no response.
"Arianna!!" She banged the table and Arianna immediately jumped up.
"Uh, Karen!" she said.
"What's wrong with you Arianna? Don't you think with this attitude of yours you'll lose a lot of clients?" Karen stated.
"Let me be Karen, I'm not in the mood for all this." Arianna retorted.
"Is this because of Mason?" Karen asked.
"Please don't involve Mason in this, I know you're my best friend but do not cross your boundaries." Arianna warned.
"Just look at you, still defending a guy that has engaged you for three good years without any attempt to marry you, grow up girl." Karen scoffed.
"Not now, please don't start." Arianna Pleaded.
"Just a little advice to you, don't let that ring get stuck on your finger." Karen laughed and Arianna rolled her eyes.
"But seriously, I think you're right." Arianna agreed and they both laughed maniacally.
Deep inside, Arianna was hurting, she just laughed to cover up her bleeding heart.
Arianna's phone immediately rang, and she stared at the caller's ID. Sugar plum flashed bodly on the screen.
She smiled and she picked up.
"Hello babe, how are you doing?" Mason said from the other line.
"I'm fine babe." She smiled and Karen scoffed.
"Can you come over tonight? I've missed you so much." Mason said.
Arianna felt butterflies in her belly.
"Sure, I've missed you too, but on one condition." She pursed her lips.
"What condition?" He asked.
"You'll get me my favorite candy." She laughed.
"Of course I will."
"Good bye then, I love you!" She smiled.
"I love you too." Mason said and he ended the call.
"I need to be fast with today's activities, I'll be spending time with Mason tonight." Arianna said.
"I hope so."
"And what does that mean?" Arianna said.
"Absolutely nothing." Karen replied.
Arianna took her handbag and she left her office.
'I hope you don't regret all this.' Karen thought.

Lillian crossed her legs, while Milo stood washing the dishes.
"Wash the glass cup properly, I don't want to see a single stain." She yelled.
"Yes Lillian." Milo simply replied.
"Be fast about it Milo!" She probed.
"I will."
Lillian couldn't help but to stare at him, he looked so handsome when angry, his manly features captivated her.
'Mine, all mine.' She smirked.
She stood up and she went to him, tracing her hands around her arms.
Milo felt her presence behind him and he immediately turned to face her.
"What are you doing?" He asked angrily.
"Kiss me Milo." She ordered.
"In your dreams." Milo growled.
Lillian couldn't take no for an answer, she forcefully kissed him.
The moment her lips touched his, Milo pushed her away, feeling disgusted by her actions.
"What do you think you are doing Lillian?" He yelled in rage.
"And how dare you push me away Milo?" She yelled back.
"Look Lillian, I agreed to this marriage because I was helpless, I can do every other thing you ask me to, I can even be your house help, but know this Lillian, I refuse to fall in your trap, I will never make love to you," he said to her. "And just so you know, I have never seen or considered you to be my wife, I feel no attraction towards you Lillian." He added almost immediately. "I. DO. NOT. LOVE .YOU." He stated, and Lillian immediately slapped him hard.
"How dare you!" She yelled furiously. "Fine then, let's see how long you'll keep this up." She added. "But let me make one thing clear to you Milo, I always get what I want, and you know it."
"Try as much as you can, but I promise to make you mine completely." She said, then she stormed out of there in anger.
'How do I get out of this mess?' Milo sighed.
He left the kitchen, not bothering to complete the dishes, the helpers will finish the rest.
★
Milo stood at the window in their bedroom, watching Lillian.
She was about to go out, but it wasn't the office, and he didn't give a damn where she was going to, all he wants is for her to leave before doing what he wants to.
Ever since they got married, Lillian has never for once let him go see his parents, and she doesn't allow his parents to come see him either, the only time she lets him leave the house is when they need to see her father or attend some boring party.
Apart from that, he is never allowed to leave the house without her permission, it's more like he has been imprisoned in this fucking mansion, his movement has been restricted, and it's all bullshit.
"Finally." He smiled when her car finally drove off.
"I'll finally get the chance to see my parents, even if it's just for a little while." Milo smiled, then he rushed to get dressed.

Francis sat in the living room staring at some old photos of Milo. While his wife Helen was in the kitchen preparing lunch.
He heard someone knocking, and he furrowed his brow as he wasn't expecting any visitors today.
"Someone's at the door honey." Helen yelled from the kitchen.
"Yeah, I'll go see who it is." He replied, then he stood up.
He walked to the door and slowly turned the door knob, the moment he opened the door, his jaw dropped.
His son stood in front of him, smiling brightly.
"Dad." Milo said.
"Milo?" Francis said in disbelief. Milo nodded.
"Yes dad, it's me, your son, Milo." He laughed.
"What's going....." Helen trailed.
The towel she was holding dropped from her hand, as tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Milo."
