Loser

The door opened and it was Richmond. He was standing on the doorway, holding a flower with a smug look on his face. He walked into the room, his eyes fixed on Lucy as he went for a hug, ignoring Richard. Richard's anger boiled over, but he managed to hold himself. He didn't want to give Richmond the satisfaction of seeing him loose control. Not that it will change anything though.

"I got this for you." Richmond gave her the flower. Lucy collected it and smelled the sweet scent, then gave him another hug. "You are so sweet, unlike others who only wants to reap where they did not sow."

"Well well well" He said as he turned his attention to Richard. "The loser is looking at us."

"Yes, you are just in time to witness our separation. I've given him the divorce paper" She had her arm around his waist as they faced Richard.

"Excellent." Richmond smiled, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "So what are you waiting for? Sign it already and stop wasting time."

"Come on, Richard, sign it quick." Lucy snapped, tapping her foot impatiently on the floor.

"You think you are making the right decision. You think you are getting rid of me and moving on to bigger and better things. But i assure you that you will regret this."

"Regret? My only regret is getting married to you. You are just a loser, Richard. And you will always be a loser." Lucy mocked him.

"The loser think he's going to make a comeback. He's still living on movies and fictional stories he used to read." He turned to Richard. "This is real life, Richard. You are a loser and will always be."

"Both of you will later know who is the real loser. Especially you, Lucy. You will regret ever divorcing me."

"Enough, Richard!" Lucy was getting furious already. "You are just making fool of yourself. Sign the divorce paper."

“And if I don’t?" Richard said instead.

“Don’t even think about playing games with me, Richard. You are no match for me. If you don’t sign the papers, I’ll make your entire life miserable. You’ll regret the very day you decided to cross me. So let’s not go through this the hard way, Richard, for your piece of mind and for your sanity, I’ll advice you to sign the papers, don’t make me repeat my self again.”.

"I'm never scared of you. I will sign this divorce paper because I never wanted you. You are not the type of woman I dreamed for. I thought you will change but no, you can never. You may think you are making best choice, but you will soon realize that you just made the worst decision." He finished and signed it even without going through it.

“Now we’re talking, you’re such a good boy” Lucy said gleefully as she snatched the documents from him with a triumphant smile on her face.

“Since we are now divorced, I hope to never see you again." Her vicious laughter echoed around the room. “Now get the you and all your belongings the hell out of my house, before I call security on you and have you arrested for trespassing .” She said with a murderous stare.

"What do you mean? Get out of my house. This is my house as well.” Richard protested.

“Didn’t you read the papers, Richie?" she asked.

“What did you do?" Richard said suspiciously.

“You should have read it. The documents states that everything we have during this mariage is mine. Which means the house and every single asset is mine.”

“How dare you!”

“I dare whatever I can. Besides they are mine in the first place. It's my father's gift on our wedding day. You didn't contribute anything.”

"You didn't tell me that he's also greedy." Richmond said to Lucy.

"You can see it yourself. He always wants to reap where he did not sow." Lucy replied.

“This house belong to me. It was documented with my name. I will seu you to court."

“Well not any more, it’s too late now. You signed and no going back. How will you even know that all the money in the bank we opened for you will be sent to me when you didn't read before signing. It's quite interesting to let you know that you are not leaving with a dim.” Lucy said, waving the papers in his face victoriously. "You have done what I wanted you to do. You have given me everything i want. Now i want you to get out."

Richard didn't want to talk again. He doesn't want to stress himself anymore. She can take everything. Lucy and Richmond watched as he packed his stuffs. They were surprised he wasn't down like someone who actually lost everything. She thought she would see him cry but there was not even a trace of it.

As Richard turned to leave, Lucy spoke behind him, "I'm sure you won't find any job out there, Richard. You can come back later. Maybe my potential husband and I can employ you as our house help. Besides, that is what you are good at."

The words hitted him hard but he managed to hold himself. There was no point responding again. He have to move on.
