Chapter 5
"But Angel and Lucia's bodies haven't been discovered yet; only Hudson's body was found in the house. The police are investigating," Nanny Erica stated. Dylan looked taken aback.
"Angel's body hasn't been found?" he asked, seeking confirmation. Nanny Erica nodded in response.
"Angel isn't dead; she's alive, Nanny Erica!" Dylan exclaimed, a smile spreading across his face. Nanny Erica looked both surprised and bewildered by his words.
"What do you mean Angel isn't dead? The police are searching for her and Lucia's bodies, and we need to know who killed them!" Nanny Erica insisted, trying to make her point clear. But Dylan was resolute in his belief.
"Nanny Erica, Angel isn't dead. I will find her and bring her back to you. As for the person responsible for this, the police will never catch him," Dylan replied before turning and hurrying to his car.
"What are you talking about, Dylan? But Angel and her parents are gone," Nanny Erica called after him, but Dylan had already jumped into his car and sped away.
With a heavy sigh, Nanny Erica realized she had come to collect a few belongings but ended up taking Angel's photos as keepsakes for her memorial.
"You'll always be my precious baby, Angel," she whispered, casting one last glance at the house before turning away, tears streaming down her face.
ANGEL POV
I woke up to find myself in the same room, the lamp that the man Rocco had brought still casting a soft glow. I was still wrapped in his jacket; the only two people who had cared for me and kept me alive were the head maid and Rocco. But I knew I would eventually die—just not before I got my revenge on Venom.
I couldn't help but wonder how many days I had been unconscious. As I sat up, I realized I was lying on a bed.
"They gave me a bed too; they're nice. Everyone here hates me except for that woman and Rocco," I mumbled to myself.
I found myself staring blankly at the wall until my gaze shifted to my neck, and I realized it was bare.
"Where's my necklace?" I murmured, reaching up to touch my neck, but it was gone.
I got out of bed, surprised to find that the pain in my back had faded. Still, I knew the bruises would remain.
My once snow-white skin had been marred by that monster. I adjusted the jacket, pulling it down to my thighs, but it still felt better than just wearing a bra and panties.
I hurried to the door and stepped out of the room, not caring about the danger that might await me. I had to find the necklace, no matter the cost.
It meant everything to me because it was a gift from someone I could never forget, and I promised to cherish it always.
As soon as I stepped out of the door, I spotted the head maid approaching me.
"Oh my! You're awake! I'm so glad!" she exclaimed, closing the distance between us.
"How are you feeling, dear? Do you have any pain anywhere?" she asked, and I shook my head.
"No, I'm perfectly fine," I replied, and she beamed at me with a warm smile.
"I'm glad. Come with me; you need to freshen up and change your clothes," the head maid said, taking my hand and leading me in another direction.
"Wait, I need to find something first," I mumbled, pulling my hand away from her grip.
"What are you looking for, and where do you think you'll find it?"
It might have fallen off in the dungeon. "I'll find it—" I started to explain, but the head maid interrupted me before I could finish.
"Just forget about it. You'll get in trouble if you wander around this clan," she warned.
"But I need—" I began, but she interrupted me, pulling me along before I could finish my sentence.
We arrived at a small room with four beds, and the head maid turned to face me.
"This is where you'll be staying from now on," she said.
I glanced around the room. It was much smaller than my room at home, but it was still an improvement over that dark space I had been in.
I nodded in response.
"You'll be working as a slave, but not just any slave—Venom's personal slave. I know it won't be easy, and it will be dangerous for you, but there's nothing I can do to help," the head maid said with a heavy heart. For the first time in this house, a smile broke across my face.
"You don't need to worry; it's actually a good thing. I’ll love working as his personal servant," I said, a knowing smile spreading across my face. Being his servant would make it easier for me to carry out my revenge.
"I know you might not understand what I'm saying right now, but you'll come to see what I mean," the head maid sighed.
"Go ahead and freshen up in the bathroom. I'll lay out your maid uniform on the bed, and then you can eat and meet the other maids," the head maid instructed.
"Thank you for taking care of me," I replied, and she smiled in return.
With a sense of happiness bubbling inside me, I walked into the bathroom. I was actually going to be the one to take down Venom.
...
Inside the CEO's office of the Vasquez Corporation, a man leaned back in a leather chair, then spun around on his swivel chair to reveal his masked face—Venom. Just then, the door to his office burst open.
Dylan stormed in, his anger palpable. "Where's Angel?" he demanded furiously, and Venom couldn't help but smirk.
"Are you really asking the devil where Angel is right now?" Venom replied, a hint of sarcasm lacing his words.
"I'm not here to joke around. How dare you involve Angel and Lucia? It was only Hudson who offended you!" Dylan shouted, causing Venom to rise from his chair.
"You've known where they are all this time, and you've stayed silent. You deserve to die," Venom muttered, slipping his hand into his trouser pocket.
"Are you seriously asking me to help my enemy get to the family of the girl I love?"
Aside from being a Mafia boss, Venom was also a CEO, and Dylan's father was merely an investor in the company. Only a select few knew Venom's true identity within the company, and Dylan was one of them.
"The girl you love?" Venom scoffed. "She can never be yours again because she's mine now, and I'll use her however I see fit."
"What do you mean by that?"
"You want me to break it down for you? Alright—"
"From today on, she’ll be my sex slave. I’ll fuck her until she bleeds, and she’ll see heaven but never get there," Venom sneered, causing Dylan to clench his teeth in fury.
"How dare you say that? She's just a kid, you bastard!" Dylan shouted as he charged at Venom, ready to throw a punch. But Venom caught his hand and effortlessly tossed him across the table.
"A nineteen-year-old isn't really a kid anymore, and she has her father to blame for that. Once I'm done with her, I'll make sure she meets the same fate as her parents," Venom declared, and started striding out of his office.
"Don't you dare touch Angel!" Dylan shouted, fury in his voice, blood trickling from his nose and forehead. Venom merely smirked, a devilish grin spreading across his face.
"Too late for that. I’ll fuck her tonight," he said, leaving the office with those chilling words.
