Chapter 6
Angel's POV
The head maid keeps taking me through different corridors, and I follow closely behind her. I’ve just finished my bath, and I know she’s taking me to meet the other maids and serve me some food.
A smile lingers on my face, fueled by the head maid's earlier words. I’m going to be Venom's personal slave, and I can’t shake the thoughts swirling in my mind about how I might get my revenge on him.
"We're here," the head maid announced, and I lifted my gaze to find myself met with a sea of hostile eyes, each one piercing me like daggers. A wave of fear washed over me.
Around the dining table sat nearly twenty maids, all of them glaring at me with palpable hatred, as if they wished to strangle me on the spot. I couldn’t quite grasp the situation, but it was clear they despised me, likely because of my father's actions toward their boss.
"But no matter what my father did, I will have my revenge on him for taking my parents away from me and making my life a living hell," I thought to myself, exhaling deeply to keep my fear at bay.
"Why are you all staring at her like that? She didn't do anything wrong to you, and you have no right to look at her that way! Only Venom has the authority to decide what happens to her, so stop with those hateful glares!" The head maid shouted at them, and I felt a flicker of confidence begin to rise within me. All the maids averted their gazes from me, except for one person.
"Head maid Felicia, she doesn’t deserve our pity; she should be treated like trash and meet a fitting end—murderer's daughter!"
"Enough, Vivian! You have no right to speak; you're just a maid whose father owes the boss money!" the head maid shouted back, causing Vivian to hiss in frustration before turning away from us.
With a sigh, the head maid continued, "I only wanted to introduce her to all of you. This is Angel, and she’ll be working as Venom's personal slave—nothing more, nothing less. So, you all should stop the hate!"
"Come on," Head Maid Felicia said, taking my hand. I could hear the other maids gasping in surprise as she led me away. Clearly, they were taken aback by my responsibilities.
I couldn’t help but smile to myself as we finally arrived at another room next to the kitchen. Head Maid Felicia entered the kitchen and soon returned, carrying a tray of food in her hands.
"It's not the right time to eat with the other maids, so you should go inside and enjoy your meal in peace. After you finish, you'll need to clean Venom's chamber; that's where you'll start," Head Maid Felicia instructed. I nodded with a smile as she walked away.
"I need to put my plan into action right away," I murmured to myself, feeling a surge of excitement as I entered the room. Inside, I found another girl there eating.
As soon as she spotted me, a smile broke out on her face. "Hi there, pretty!" she greeted warmly. She was also in a maid uniform.
"Hi," I mumbled in response.
"I'm Cora. What's your name?" she asked, and I was taken aback that she didn’t seem to dislike me like everyone else.
"Angel," I replied, still wearing a look of surprise.
"You don’t need to be surprised. I’m just like you," Cora said, offering a gentle smile. She was undeniably beautiful, her silver hair catching the light.
"What do you mean by that?" I asked, my confusion evident.
"My father also committed a grave offense against the second boss, Zachary, and I ended up being his personal slave for years," Cora said, her expression filled with sorrow. I couldn't help but recall the man I had seen beside Venom the other day; he had seemed kind, so I wondered why Cora looked so pitiful.
Cora quickly covered her face with a smile. "But we're friends now, so let's eat together. We're in the same boat."
Even though I didn't fully understand what she was saying, I found myself moving closer to her. My heart swelled with happiness; for the first time in this hellish house, I actually had someone to talk to.

Dylan burst into the house, his lip still bruised. "Where's Father?" he asked the maid who was tidying up the living room, hurriedly.
"He's in his study," the maid replied, and Dylan dashed off.
"Dylan, what's wrong..." His mother, Lydia, began, but he was already gone, he didn’t pause to let her speak.
"What’s wrong with him?" Lydia murmured to herself as she continued downstairs.
Dylan entered his father's study and found him engrossed in a file.
"Father, you're the only one who can reach Venom. Please, I need you to talk to him," Dylan said desperately, on the verge of losing his mind.
"Why should I speak with him?" Malachi replied, lifting his head to look at Dylan with a puzzled expression.
"He kidnapped Angel and plans to make her his s*x slave before killing her! I can't let him touch her, not ever! I can't bear the thought of it!" Dylan shouted, his anger rising. Malachi chuckled, further provoking Dylan.
"Why are you chuckling? This isn't funny! I'm in a desperate situation here. I need to talk to Venom; I need to get Angel away from him," Dylan said, his voice laced with anger.
"I'm surprised you figured it out so quickly, but do you really think I'm a fool? Do you think it's easy to talk to Venom and..."
"Leave Angel alone. She's being punished for her father's sins. You need to set aside your feelings for her and focus on your own life. She's the daughter of a criminal, and she deserves everything she's going through," Malachi stated. Dylan slammed his hands down hard on the table in front of Malachi, his anger palpable.
"I hate you so much! You're scared of Venom, and that makes me hate you even more. I will take Angel from him, no matter what. If he touches her, I'll kill that animal!" Dylan yelled.
He stormed out of the study, running his hands through his hair in frustration. The thought of Venom touching Angel was driving him absolutely crazy.

I began to walk slowly in the direction that head maid Felicia had indicated was Venom's chamber. A whirlwind of emotions swirled within me; I felt both fear and excitement at the prospect of finally getting my revenge on him.
As I approached the door, I encountered two guards. "I'm here to clean the..." I started to say, but before I could finish, they gestured for me to enter.
I walked into the chamber, a mopping stick in my hands. The living room was impressively large and beautiful, despite its black paint, which gave the space a menacing atmosphere.
I chose to start cleaning in the bedroom, stepping inside with determination I wanted to finish everything before the devil walked in, but...
Just when I thought luck was on my side, the door creaked open unexpectedly. Without thinking, my hand slipped beneath my gown, and I pulled out a knife, instinctively pointing it toward the entrance.
Venom stepped in with a menacing stride. I couldn't comprehend my own actions as I brandished the knife, panic setting in.
"What have I just done?" I whispered, fear coursing through me as my hand trembled with the knife.
I could hear Venom's evil scoff as he began to walk closer to me. I kept retreating until my back hit the wall, causing the knife to slip from my hand.
My heart raced with fear as Venom closed the distance between us, leaning in to whisper in my ear, "You're dead!"
