Chapter 9

Alpha Tristan didn't give Solace the space to digest what he had just done because he turned around and began to walk back towards the plaza while leaving behind a stunned and dazed Solace who stood beside the car in surprise.

She felt awkward because of how the Alpha had leaned forward and carefully covered her ear as if he was covering something very important.

Is this how the Alpha treats his servants?

She was sure no Alpha is made a kind being but this Alpha is giving her mixed signals.

Just earlier on he was very cold and had even made her feel terrified as if she would pee her pants and now he is all considerate with her like she is a baby...

In her life no one with such power has ever been so kind to her which made the Alpha's gesture really awkward.

The Alpha didn't stop walking and Solace figured out he probably wanted her to follow him into the plaza since he had asked her to step out and he gave her a coat and a beanie.

She quickly adjusted her coat and then the cap so they'd fit perfectly before she took to her heels and followed the Alpha up the stairs and into the plaza.

She managed to grab into the door just as the Alpha stepped in and the guards standing by the door were about to close the door.

"Eeer.... Alpha I...."

Solace stuttered as she tried to catch up with him.

'or should I call him master?'

She asked herself but then she quickly shook off that thought since he had asked her to call him Alpha Tristan earlier on.

"What is it?"

The Alpha asked without turning back as he kept walking down the rows and rows of mannequins that created an aisle of beauty for him to walk through.

All the people and workers in the store bow their heads carefully in respect and even avoid looking up until the Alpha has walked past them.

"Thank you for the coat... And the cap "

Solace finally found the right words to use as she finally caught up with him just as he reached a large door.

The door was pulled open for him by two guards and he walked in while Solace followed.

A man and a woman dressed in nice and extravagant clothes greeted the Alpha as soon as he is in the room and they led him to a sit that had already been prepared for him

He sat down and the woman immediately scrambled away to get him something to drink while Solace stood besides him like a dog.

"Is it ready?"

The Alpha asked the man in the room.

"Yes sir... I'll go fetch it right away."

The man replied with a smile and then turned to leave but then he spotted Solace standing besides the Alpha.

He must have assumed the lady that came with the Alpha is his servant or helper.

"Come with me child... I need a hand with the Alpha's garment."

The man who seemed to be in his fifties said.

Solace looked at the man who seemed to be talking to her in confusion.

"Me?"

She asked as she pointed her hands towards her chest. Then she looked from the man to the Alpha as if she was waiting for Tristan to talk.

"Yes you... You don't expect the Alpha to attend to my errands do you?"

The man said in an icy and impatient tone.

"Ooh... Sorry.."

Solace muttered as she straightened her posture and made to walk towards the man when the Alpha said,

"Are you too old to think properly or are you just blind?"

Alpha Tristan snapped at the man who immediately knew he had done something wrong.

Solace halted after taking just one step and hearing the Alpha's voice.

"Can't you see she's with me?"

The Alpha asked.

Solace could tell the elderly man was feeling extremely nervous as if he had offended the Alpha in a grave way.

"Eer.. I'm sorry Alpha... Please pardon my big mistake."

The man apologized.

"Don't you have workers? "

The Alpha wasn't done yet.

Somehow Solace felt the Alpha should just stop talking because she could tell the old man was getting really afraid.

"Fetch her a chair before you leave."

The Alpha commanded and the old man began to rush towards a large table where a few chairs were arranged.

Solace stepped back and bent towards the Alpha.

"I don't mind helping him carry his stuff. That's why you brought me here in the first place."

Solace muttered in the most soliciting tone she could use because she was afraid of offending the Alpha with her words.

The elderly man arrived with the chair and placed it beside the Alpha, he bowed and quickly walked towards the exit of the room nervously.

"You take orders from me."

The Alpha muttered.

"Now sit!"

He snapped.

Solace found herself rushing to place her butt on the chair that has been provided for her to sit on in a haste.

She sat there quietly with no one but the Alpha and the other woman soon returned into the room with a cup of warm chocolate.

Solace could tell it was really warm due to the steam going up from the mug of hot chocolate that smells delicious.

She handed it to the Alpha with a bow before stepping aside and picking up a book from a table nearby.

Alpha Tristan stared at the cup of warm chocolate in his hands.

He wondered if it was too hot and if it will burn a person's tongue

He brought it close to his lips and took a small sip from the hot drink to feel the temperature.

It was a little above warm but it wasn't too hot. It felt like the right temperature a person would want to take in a weather as cold as the current one.

He stared at the lady sitting besides him who had her legs clasped together while her fingers rested on her laps as they played with each other before thrusting the mug of hot chocolate towards her.

Solace looked up in surprise.

"Should I take it?"

She asked.

The Alpha hissed slightly and thrust the mug towards her hands.

Solace quickly took the warm mug from the Alpha and held it in her hands in a daze, waiting for his next instruction.

What was she to do with it?

" What are you waiting for? Drink it."

The Alpha muttered, causing a look of surprise to flash on Solace's face.

She stared at the mug for a while before bringing it to her lips.

As Solace took the chocolate the elderly man from earlier on returned with a garment carefully placed inside a fancy bag into the room.

"Your suit is here, Alpha."

The man said as he handed the suit to the Alpha.

Alpha Tristan took it from the man and quietly zipped down the bag to reveal a very neat and nice black tuxedo.

He stared at it for a while before zipping the bag up.

"Do you have something suitable for her?"

He asked the man as he pointed his chin towards Solace who was just finishing the sweet cup of hot chocolate.

Solace didn't think much of what he said and just concentrated on what she was taking.

"Yes Alpha... We have a few designs already made. She can come with me and choose one from the available designs."

It was the woman who answered this time around.

The Alpha turned towards Solace, grabbed the almost empty mug from her hands and handed it to the elderly man before thrusting his tuxedo into her arms.

"Show us then... We don't have much time."

Alpha Tristan said as he stood up from the chair.

Solace quickly stood up as well and she followed the Alpha and the woman out of the room.

They walked back down the aisle of mannequins and then took a left turn towards another section of clothes with different and beautiful dress designs for women placed carefully on each mannequin.

Solace couldn't help but gawk around as she followed the Alpha closely while the woman talked to the Alpha about each of the dresses they walked past as if explaining the value and beauty of the dress to him.

"Tristan!"

She heard a female voice call happily and she looked away from the lovely mannequins towards the voice to see a beautiful and slim girl walking towards them from the opposite direction.

The girl had a light blue dress in her arms and she swayed her slim hips happily as she walked towards them, obviously smiling at the Alpha.

Solace wondered who the girl was but as the girl neared them she could tell this was the same girl that came out of the Alpha's room earlier.

Judging from how intimate she seemed to be with the Alpha Solace concluded that she must be his girlfriend.

"What are you doing here Madison?"

The Alpha asked with his arms folded behind his back while Solace stood behind and peered at the lady.

"I'm here to pick up my dress for tomorrow's party. You invited me, remember?"

The lady replied with a wide smile.

The Alpha nodded with his eyes on the dress.

"Let me see that."

He muttered as he took the dress from the lady who's name is Madison.

He held it up and took a nice look at the very beautiful dress, then he turned around and looked at Solace who stood behind him like a scared cat before turning to look at the woman they came with.

"This dress should suit her. She'll try it on and then you can make some quick alterations and then send it over to the pack house first thing tomorrow."

The Alpha muttered before thrusting the dress into Solace's arms.
