I'm allergic to cells
The taxi pulled up in front of the club down my street. The club is just down the street? Why get in a cab?! She is really from another planet, a stupid one.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” I said with an ‘I can’t believe you’ look
“What?”
“We could have just walked! I should have just walked. I mean, it’s just like few
steps away from my house. Why do we have to get in a cab?”
“I’m tired, I can’t walk.”
“Okay, I’m not paying.” I said folding my arm.
I read in a book that folding your arms while talking makes your point stand, and no one would want to argue with you. I hope this works, because I’m saving up for another novel.
Nikki ransacked her purse, then turned around to look at me.
“Can I borrow five dollars?” she said with an innocent smile. I rolled my eyes in my head, then handed over to her a ten dollar bill.
“Thanks,” he gave the bill to the cab man, then turned around.
“Keep the change.” She added.
“What?! You said-”
“Let’s go, they’ll soon start.”
“Why are we even going? What are we going to see?”
“The rift.”
“What rift?”
“Aren’t you in this school? And I’ve told you before. Anyways, there has always been a rift between Daniel and Jace. And it caused a lot of trouble in school, so he got transferred to another school.”
“Daniel? So what was he doing there yesterday?”
“His father owns the school.”
“Oh, I forgot”
“Alright. I don’t see why am here though.”
We walked over to the door, then Nikki pushed it slightly.
“Isn’t there supposed to be a bouncer or something?” I said walking behind Nikki.
“Shh!”
Nikki pushed the door wide enough for us to enter, the walked through it.
I began to see colored lights, and loud music smashed from the speakers.
“I guess they’ll be at the VIP lounge, right?”
“Umm, I don’t know.”
How was I supposed to know? I’m not them.
People smashed their bodies together rhythmically to the music. We walked past the people, then went over to the bouncer at the VIP lounge entrance. “Um, we are with Daniel.” Nikki said with a smile. The Bouncer looked at us for some seconds, nodded his head, and then stepped aside for us to pass.
“Hope you’re learning bestie.” Nikki said as she strode into the lounge. Learning? Bestie?!
We walked into a circle. The circle consisted of Jace’s gang and Daniel’s gang. Daniel’s gang sat on the sofas legs crossed, while Jace’s gangs stood in-front of them. We moved closer, then stopped beside a sofa. Everyone necks turned to our direction. Jace’s eyes widened, then walked to walk over to us. Daniel wore a smirk on his lips.
“What are you doing here? Leave immediately.” Jace said with veins twitching. “What are you doing? You don’t call orders here,” Daniel said giving Jace an intense look. He wore a smirk again, then turned to look at us.
“You guys are welcomed. Come on, have your seats.”
Nikki smiled, then pulled me along with her. She walked round the room analyzing sofas, then finally placed her butt on one.
“Why do you want them to go? Scared of been beaten up in front of the ladies?” Daniel’s gang burst into laughter after he said that.
Jace rolled in his fingers, then bit his lower lip.
“What’s going on? The puppy is getting unleashed?” Daniel teased again. Then everyone burst into laughter, except Jace’s gang and me. Nikki was rolling on the floor in hysterics.
Jace tightened his fists, then ran over to Daniel. He threw him a hard punch, and Daniel raised his hands up in defense. Daniel’s gang rushed over to Jace, and began to hit him. Jace’s gang ran over to the help Jace. Nikki and I just sat there with amazement written all over our faces.
Nikki and I ran behind a sofa to take cover. Josh picked up an empty whiskey bottle and landed it on one of Daniel’s gang member’s back. And everyone turned to the direction of the shatter. I covered my mouth in shock, and Nikki began to scream. I tried to cover her mouth, but she kept rolling around. Then some men ran into the lounge.
“It’s the police.”
Those three words exploded my brain. I am too young to go to jail. I am a good girl. I want to get into Harvard. Nikki, what have you done to me?!
Everyone began to flee the scene. The policeman grabbed Daniel in the arm, but he managed to slip free. Nikki grabbed my hand tight, then began to pull me towards the door. Josh ran into me, and my glasses fell.
“My glasses!” I yelled withdrawing my hand from Nikki.
“Are you kidding me? You’ll get a new one.” Nikki yelled.
The policeman ran towards my direction, then stretched out his hand to grab me. Jace ran as fast as he could, then stood in front of me. The policeman grabbed Jace, then began to cuff him. Nikki ran over to me, then pulled me away. Another policeman came through the door, and Nikki fled right, leaving me in front of him.
I dodged him, then started running left. I ran all the way down the street with a blurry vision. I ran into an alley, then stopped at a junction. I waited till when it was safe to cross, then began to cross.
“Hey! Wait.” A voice yelled in front of me. It was the policeman. He walked over to me, then pulled me to his car. He cuffed me, then opened the door for me to enter. I got in, then looked to my side. I let out a sigh, then the car started to move.
Silence filled the car before it was shattered into a million pieces.
“So, of all the places to run, it’s in front of a police car,” Jace said looking at me unbelievably.
“Like, I risked myself for you to escape, and here you are with me,” he let out a sigh, then looked forward.
“At least, now I am not going to be the only one staring at this butt neck all night.” I looked over at the policeman’s butt shaped neck. I couldn’t help but laugh. His neck folded into two small butt cheeks.
“I even made you laugh. You owe me a lot.” I stopped laughing immediately, then turned to look out the window. Then the silence began to grow once more.
The car pulled up in front of the station. Then the policeman pulled us out of the car. He removed the cuffs, lead us to a cell, then closed the gates behind us.
“I can’t believe I’m in a cell.” I said walking around with my hands on my cheeks.
“Calm down pervert. It’s not going to chew you up.” Jace said sitting down.
“I’m a good girl! I have good grades.”
“Having good grades doesn’t mean you can’t end up in prison. And good girls go badly too.”
“I can’t believe this.”
“You have to perv. Nothing is going to go wrong. Plus, you’re in a cell, not in jail.” “I’m allergic to cells.”
“Stop being a wimp perv. They’ll contact you parents soon, and they’ll come bail you out anytime from now.” Jace said lying on the floor.
Why is he being so comfortable? We are in prison! Prison!
“I’m in a prison.” I said covering my face with my palms.
“Just sit down. You’re even lucky.”
“Lucky?”
“Yeah. Your mom would come bail you soon. You have a loving and sweet family that cares about you. You’re their little nerd, that they are hoping to get out of you shell soon. Not everyone-”
“Miss Annie, your parents are here. Don’t go fighting in clubs again. You’re above that, you are the leader of tomorrow. Don’t just throw that away.” The policeman opened the gates, then closed them when I was out.
“Thanks.” I said before walking over to my parents. I turned around to look at Jace. He stared at me for a while, then wore a smirk. I smirked back then walked over to my mom.
I smirked back?! What is wrong with me?!
