Chapter 4
* Chapter 4 Her secret *
A man carrying a woman hurried into Saint Rita Hospital in the state of California. He white shirt was stained by the blood that was trickling from her left arm.
He carried her to his chest while wearing an extremely troubled expression. His steps were heavy as he tried to cover more ground. He was really looking for one doctor.
He refused to use the stretcher until he saw Doctor Andrew, despite the nurses' arrival with one. While the woman was still in his arms, he kicked in the doctor's door, and this time her pulse was lessened.
Doctor Andrew, who had red hair, observed this man with some trepidation because he had never seen him in this situation.
He immediately called off the meeting with his patient so that he could see this man.
He approached, looking at the girl who had lifted her wrist to check her pulse.
" She was hit by a stray gunshot. Save her!" Graham demanded more than a plea.
Just a nod from Andrew. He had known this man for more than seven years, and although she was the second woman he had entered the room with, he had never held her in his arms. He was an excessively neat freak.
It implied that this girl possessed something he required but not his heart. Graham does not have a heart.
A large bandage was now wrapped across her shoulder and across her chest after Andrew successfully removed the bullet from her.
He now had Graham come into his office. With a new gray shirt and an incomprehensible smile, he looked better. Andrew intended to start by finding out who the lady was, but knowing this man, it would be pointless.
Therefore, he calmly requested, "Graham, you need to report this to the police. Is that a stray bullet or an ambush? "
Graham's lips curved into a wicked grin as he fiddled with a penguin figurine toy in his fingers. "What do you think?"
Andrew grumbled in frustration since he was swamped with patients and had no time to joke about with Graham Grande. He got up to go " I advise calling the cops. They'll keep it quiet since they know it worries you. That girl might actually be in serious danger, based on what I saw. "
Graham's attention was captured by his remarks, and he put down the penguin. When he heard the door close, his face of emptiness changed, and he began to think deeply while occasionally twitching his eyelids.
Following a long day at the hospital. He was told that she was awake. And for unknown reasons, he purchased a bunch of jasmine flowers, which are believed to be calming.
The female nurses all stared lovingly at him with the flowers. Each wishing it was for her.
Her eyes were wide when she saw him after exiting the bathroom. She took three more steps, then jerked in pain. But he didn't assist her.
He observed her fumbling from the entrance of the bathroom to the bed by herself.
They engaged in a gazing match while she was seated, which ended when she got up. " What do you want from me? Thank you? '' she scoffed.
He was reserved.
Seeing him quiet, made her even more annoyed. " Because you are not going to get one . In a hospital, anyone can assist in taking another patient. You were standing there while I struggled to climb into bed. "
He leaned against the door frame with an amused look on his face but no words. Gigi was even more irritated as a result, so she lay straight and covered herself with the sheets while unintentionally staring at him.
" You wouldn't believe how many germs there are in the space between the restroom and the door. More than you can imagine, and washing only slightly alleviates the situation. " The words poured out calmly.
Immediately,he took out a bottle to sanitize his hands.
" I'm not here to learn about health from you, so just get to the point. " She said indignantly.
His brows furrowed together. Graham took a stand by straightening up. "I'm here to assist. I'll assist you if you only let me know what you know about Mr. Square. ''
He at last had faith in her!
Gigi suddenly opened her eyes and struggled not to move her injured arm too much as she sat up on the bed. After a minute of stillness, she started laughing. She appeared to be looking for entertainment. " Could you possibly be any stupider? "
Graham scowled as he heard this.
She made fun of the man, saying, "I mean earlier I thought you were a smart man who could tell when a girl was only after your wealth but now tsk tsk."
"But I imagine like all chicken legged males you were thrilled by the concept of a damsel in distress and then normally entertained the idea of becoming her savior. "
He stiffened his jaw, which Gigi noticed. " There is no Mr. Square Graham, " she admitted in a honeyed voice despite being able to observe how often his jaws clicked. " I made everything up. You shouldn't feel any worse now. "
Graham relaxed instead of losing it. Even the corner of his mouth appeared to be curling up. "I'm happy. For the first time, I believed I had misjudged someone. What about you miss Fonji? You think you're so intelligent. What if I rendered your offering useless? You did shoot yourself, correct? Could I report you to the police? "
He was speaking in a low, increasingly quiet voice. But it was clear that his remarks had weight. It gave Gigi the chills.
Gigi laughed out loud, as though it were the most fake thing she had ever heard. She laughed so loudly that it hurt her head. "You can't do that!"
He inquired, obviously perplexed by this fox's audacity, "Why?"
"Because more than everything else, you need this baby. Though it sounds hopeless, it is true. Furthermore, I doubt you would want your unborn child to eat prison food as it grows inside of me. Would you? Your sense of pride transcends that. ''
He then asked nonchalantly"Did you sign the contract?"
"Over there on the table with the flowers." She told him as she got back into bed. " And I changed a clause, of course. "
" What?'' His eyes were more fierce now.
In a giddy voice, she quickly explained " Yes, I'll spare you the hassle of going through. You'll give me $500,000,000 after this baby is born, it states. "
Graham did not engage in a struggle with her. His eyes' glimmer became less intense. He gave the woman in his bed a close look.
Even smarter than the first one, she appeared to be
Life was humorous. Once bitten, twice shy is what they said, but in his case, after seeing her hurt, he truly trusted her claims.
Graham was most angry with himself right now. There were numerous ways to approach a problem, but he chose the difficult one. He had to exercise caution because this woman was quite cunning.
Even though he maintained his composure around her, a tempest was raging inside of him.
Why did he accept her story so readily?
Is she right; he was a dupe for the notion that he would win her admiration by protecting her from the villain?.
###
It happened a month ago at this time. Gigi was now four months gone.
Although the baby bump had not yet manifested itself, it was visible when she wore clinging clothing.
She was not released until the gunshot wound had partially healed as a result of his persistence.
Coincidentally, they had to pick up their marriage license from the bureau of civil affairs on the day of her discharge. It was a requirement she insisted on adding in order to quickly obtain her Green card.
, "Get her."Graham spoke serenely prior to proceeding.
"Is he that bossy, " Gigi had to wonder.
Laughing loudly, the nurse pushed the patient in the wheelchair. "You always ask me that, and I would say I think it's hot."
Hot? He wished!
When Gigi realized, she gave a small laugh.
" Sorry. It's certainly unbelievable. I don't believe I've ever witnessed him engage in casual conversation. He only gives orders. I guess that's how the wealthy associate," she scoffed, feeling lava swell inside her.
The nurse sighed after giving Gigi's words some thought. She then understood that every wealthy client she had ever worked for had been demanding and overbearing. "We just got used to it."
" I can't. I detest dictators. "
When they finally reached the foyer, the courteous nurse pushed the passenger toward the glossy, brand-new-looking Maybach. Gigi was certain that this man owned more luxury automobiles than outfits. Every time he arrived, a different automobile was there.
"Thank you." As a farewell gesture, Gigi patted the nurse's hand gently on her shoulder.
"I hope to see you soon outside the hospital."
Gigi was assisted into the car and said, "Thanks." She could possibly walk, but they nonetheless carried out his instructions.
She spent the entire voyage sitting in the back, looking out at the few trees and buildings. Gigi couldn't help but ponder the awful hand that fate had dealt her.
She attempted to keep her eyes closed as tears slowly began to flood them. She resorted to face Graham in the front and then switched to look at the marriage license she was holding while sobbing.
She had a husband!
While on her supposed honeymoon, she was wailing about being tied to a stranger rather than being too happy and lamenting the loss of her parents and friends.
Christian as she was, Gigi regarded marriage as a serious commitment. Not a pointless document that only requires your signature
And she chose the domineering and haughty Graham Grande out of the millions, if not billions, of men on the huge Earth. Gigi bit her lip as she thought and gripped the certificate even firmly between her thighs. "Only I am aware of why I am doing this! ''
