One.
The famous romance of my father, Crown Prince of Heaven Yong, and Crown Princess Aivi, was widely known throughout the Heavenly Realm. But most people only knew half of the story. Most of the immortals knew of my father's love for my mother, but they didn't know just how far my father went and how much he risked to keep my mother by his side. The sweetest love story. It was my favorite bedtime story growing up. Luckily, my parents allowed my twin brother, Tyrian, and I to spend most of our childhood playing and learning on Floral Island with Floral Goddess Peony. She was an old friend and confidant to our parents. After we got a little older, Tyrian took a shine to our father's eldest brother, First Prince Atlas. After taking First Prince Atlas as his mentor, Tyrian didn't come to the island with me as much, but I loved spending my time with Floral Goddess Peony. Even when I wanted to hide away from everyone and everything, it was in a cabin Tyrian built for me on unclaimed land near Floral Island. We jokingly called it Tyst Cabin because it was a quiet place away only known to Tyrian and I, and 'Tyst' was also a play on both of our names.
Tyrian and I were known throughout the Heavenly Realm too. When we were born, great auspicious signs swirled around our birth place for days when we were born. We both also had a feature unique only to us in the entire three realms: we both had eyes that were some shade of purple. That's also how our mother was inspired to name us. We were cultivating immortals in the Heavenly Realm. By mortal terms were were considered teenagers, but in reality, we were about 16,000 years old. Time was not a necessary concept when you were an immortal.
"Amie, I can't go with you to the cabin this time. I promised First Uncle that I would discuss some things with him over a game of chess," Tyrian apologized as he pet my head gently. Even though we were twins, Tyrian and I were completely different. He was a lot like our First Uncle: quiet, composed, blunt, calm. He was also taller than me by quite a bit. His eyes were a darker shade of purple while mine were more of a lavender color. His hair was also a darker shade than my light brown hair.
"Ty, you promised to come with me this time. We haven't gone together in a while," I pouted. Tyrian on smirked before pinching my cheek gently.
"As always, I'm sure you'll have just as much fun without me," he teased.
"Where are you going?" Our mother asked as she came into the main hall. The small pack slung over my shoulder with my long classic lavender colored dress looked odd together, but it wasn't uncommon for me.
"I'm going to visit First Uncle. Amie is going to Floral Island," Tyrian covered for me. The cabin was our secret place. If our parents knew about it, it would defeat the purpose of having it. Our mother smiled gently before touching my hand gently.
"Be careful along the way if your brother won't be with you. Make sure to give Floral Goddess Peony a hand around the island if you're going to bug her," my mother reminded me. I nodded before setting off with Tyrian. Once we left the gates of our Serenity Palace home, we went our separate ways. It didn't take me long to fly to the boarder of Floral Island. When I saw the barrier, I landed and walked towards the nearby woods where my secret cabin hid. While walking, I stumbled upon a figure. Dressed in black clothing from head to toe, the man was unconscious. His long black hair partially hid his face. Why someone would fall asleep here was beyond me. I knelt beside his body before shaking him gently.
"Hey. Sir?" I called to him. When his body fell to his back I saw the wound. There was a stab wound to his stomach. It was glistening with the liquid that I assumed was blood, but the black clothing made it difficult to see clearly. I touch it hesitantly and pulled my hand away to find it covered in red. That was most definitely blood. I glanced at his face and saw a scratch along his cheek as well, but he was quite handsome.
I couldn't bring myself to leave him lying there so I used my powers to help lift him and bring him back to the cabin. I placed him on his back on the bed before undoing his robe to assess the wound. It was pretty deep, but I had something to help. For once, goofing off on Floral Island all the time was going to come in handy. I went to the garden of spiritual healing plants I'd created around the cabin and grabbed the herbs I needed before meshing them together into a paste. I took a cloth and basin of water before cleaning the wound and the blood away. After that was done, I used the paste to patch up the stranger. After wrapping his abdomen in clean linen and talking his dirty robe all the way off, I dealt with the scratch on his cheek. I wondered what happened to put him in that state. After making sure he was stable, I took his dirtied robes and took it out to wash. I used my magic to mend the hole before going to place it on the partition. I would need to change his dressing often, and for now, a blanket was the best option to cover him. I covered him with one of the silk blankets kept in the cabin before sighing and stretching. I was getting a little sleepy myself. I sat myself on the floor in front of the wood table in the cabin and rested my head against the desk. Hopefully the herbs would start working soon and the stranger could heal properly.
