Chapter 4

RUTH’S POV

After getting the beating of my life for trying to escape from Jackson, I was starved and punished sexually too by the bastard. Although he promised to make all his men take turns with me, the bastard did it himself. The marks on my body slowly began to fade away and heal, but he hated that they healed so he used the silver chains on me, telling me he needed me to remember, so I’d never escape from him again.

So here I was today, as always, attending to his errands. I was tired and frustrated. Jackson wasn’t even letting me see my father and I dare not ask him because he always threatens me with him. The only thing that can save me now is death, but my death would also lead to my father’s death or else I pay up his fucking debt.

He sent me to deliver something to a man in an orange suit. Who the hell even wears an orange suit? As I searched for the man among the crowd trying to get a room or check out of a room, I stumbled on someone.

“I’m so sorry,” I quickly apologized, but the woman didn’t pay any attention to me, instead, she walked away. I shrugged and was about to continue my search when I bumped into someone again. The man in orange.

“Here you are” I gave him a sheepish smile that made him growl at me in anger,

“How dare you keep me waiting?!”

“I was searching for you” I attacked, angry that he wasn’t even grateful I had come to find him without any description aside orange suit.

He pulled me and took me to a room before I could protest. My heart thudding in my chest as I asked,

“Where are we? Just take the item and let me go”.

He grabbed the item in an envelope from my hand and pushed me further into the room.

“Who says you’re going anywhere so early?” my heart began to beat louder and faster. The look in his eyes and the smirk dancing on his lips already told me what was in for me.

“Please, I don’t know what this is about, but I was asked by the Alpha to deliver this and return back immediately” I tried to be as bold as possible. I have come to understand that if you’re dealing with people like this, you have to act bold even if you aren’t.

“When I’m done with you, you can run along to Alpha Jackson and tell him it was traffic”

“I can’t lie to Alpha Jackson” As we conversed, I tried to move backward as fast as I could, but he was faster. So much for being a weak omega.

The man pushed me into the bed before I could get back up, he was on me. My hand searched for anything, just anything I could use to defend myself and I found a glass on the bed stool, grabbing it, I shattered it on his head.

“Fuck you!” He groaned in pain and reached for his head, I used the opportunity to get away from him and grabbed the bottle of wine before breaking it on his head. I have been with Alpha Jackson long enough to know violence.

I jumped up to my feet and rushed to the door before running out of the room

“Get her. Get that fucking bitch!” a loud roar came out from the room and I heard footsteps even though I couldn’t see them. I quickly made my way into the ladies' room to hide for the meantime until those bastards finally got tired and left me alone.

I sat on one of the toilets, closing the door behind me and began to count from one-to-one thousand. When I heard footsteps, I held my breath until I heard the voice of the person. It was a lady’s voice, so I breathed out in relief.

“What do you mean you have to cancel? This is an agreement, and we had a deal!” the lady literally screamed. She must be so pissed.

I need to get out of here on time, those motherfuckers timed me, if I don’t get back to the mansion before 6 pm, I am doomed.

“No, no, no, no, don’t do--- Hello, hello, hello!” the lady screamed and burst into tears as she tried the number again and again, but the number didn’t go through.

I guess the person on the other side had blocked her. Ah, life isn’t fair

‘What number was I? Three hundred and twenty…’ I wondered.

“Hello, get me another woman for the surrogacy, anyone as long as she is an omega. Immediately!” There was a pause when she said again,

“She just backed out saying her father was against the idea of getting pregnant. I need one now!”

“I do not care how much I would pay any amount! 4 million, 7 million, 10? Just get me one before Boss kills me”.

My eyes and ears went wide as I tried to listen carefully, she wanted a woman who could be a surrogate mother, who am I? I didn’t wait for her to end her call before I barged out of the toilet,

“Use me. I’ll do it. I can be a surrogate woman for you. How much do you want to pay?”

The woman turned to look at me, confusion written all over her face, “You’ll do it?”

“I will” I replied quickly, “How much did you say it is? 10 million?”

“Yes, I said so. Do you have someone?” the woman asked me and giggled before replying to her,

“Of course, I do. I have me. I have me”.

“You want to do it? Are you an omega?” she squints her eyes at me.

“I am one hundred percent full-blooded omega.” I have never been this excited about being an omega until today. “I need the money and my womb is available. What am I using it for?” I asked back with a nervous chuckle hoping she would consider. With this, I could pay Jackson

“Good, good, and your parents?” she asked, I knew she was asking that because she didn’t want someone backing out, so I answered,

“Mother is dead, and my father is in a sick bed, that’s why I need the money urgently” I lied.

She looked at me and nodded before saying, “Are you free to go to the hospital now?”

“Yes, yes,” I quickly answered before taking off my sweatshirt, “Hold on, ma’am”

Taking off my sweatshirt, I followed her outside the fancy hotel, I didn’t see anyone on my way out. Maybe they didn’t notice because I was walking with a classy woman, though. I got into the car with the woman and left for the hospital.

Arriving at the hospital, the whole surrogacy process was a blur. And when it was finally done, the doctor told me I had to stay away from intercourse in the meantime.

I agreed to the conditions but what kept running through my mind was how to avoid Jackson. That man stayed with me almost every time!

I got home past 9 pm and received slaps from almost all the men until I was finally pulled to Don Jackson.

“We searched for you everywhere, where did you go to?” he asked me. With tears in my eyes, I narrated how I was almost raped and chased by the boy and how I hid behind a shop only to sleep there. Of course, I had to lie.

“Oh Ruthy, Ruthy, I hate to hurt you, but you keep pushing me to the wall…” he drawled, and I shut my eyes waiting for the hit. He roughly held my chin and raised my face up. I clenched my jaws and fists waiting for the hit only to feel soft lips on mine.
