day after the evening

I have an impossible headache when I open my eyes. I look where I am, blinking my eyes several times. I'm in a bathtub full of plastic cups and confetti. But what the hell am I doing here?

Remember, remember...

Oh my God ! But what did I do.. I gave Elijah and Caleb a super weird challenge.

I try to get up once and then a second time without success. The drug is still working. I sigh accepting my defeat. I hope someone will come soon.

Fuck it!

Five minutes later the door opens revealing my friend.

-Dude, I've been looking for you everywhere! Luke shouts at me raising his arms in the air.

-Shh.. Less loud please.

I massage my head gently. I motion for Luke to help me up out of this tub. After 5 minutes of struggling I finally get out of there. I sit on the ledge to rest.

-You can't even imagine what I did last night..., I said, passing a hand over my face to wake me up a little more.

-Believe me, I know everything, Arthur told me everything!, said Luke laughing then becoming serious, just explain to me what took you to ask them that?

- I don't know..., I shrug my shoulders as if to support what I'm saying, I had drunk too much and then I took this drug...

-When I think if I had been there the challenge would be for me and Caleb, replies my friend with a grimace.

-The worst thing is that they accepted.

-No one refuses your challenges James, he said, putting a hand on my shoulder, even the craziest ones.

Arthur walks into the room the second after a vicious grin on his face.

-Anyway it's too late to cancel, they both accepted. And if we had a little fun with them, what do you say? , asks Arthur with a smile on the corner.

We look at each other and the three of us burst out laughing. I don't know how the idea for this challenge came about but I'm sure of one thing.

-I have a feeling we're going to have fun for 3 months! , I declare to my two colleagues.

Elijah

I feel a drop of water on my body, then a second and another. I groan and roll over onto my back. Suddenly I feel full of drops of cold water on me.

-Shit !

I wake up suddenly because of the automatic watering. I run for cover. How did I end up in the backyard on the damn outdoor couch?

I look around me in the garden looking for a human presence without much result. There is no one, they must all be awake already. I raise my right foot with difficulty, I am soaked from head to toe. We should have turned off the watering as I had advised in case a little jerk had fun sleeping in the garden. But I never would have thought that this "little jerk" would be me damn it!

-Looks like someone took a cold shower this morning.

I turn around and see James, Arthur and Luke laughing.

-That's it, you guys continue to fuck with me! I said rolling my eyes.

I end up looking at James and suddenly memories of last night come to mind. Oh no..

-Tell me I didn't agree.

-You would be surprised my old man, Arthur cuts me off with an amused expression.

"Speaking of which, where's your new boyfriend?" James asks me with a smile.

I had seen that smile before. It was during our week of integration to enter the fraternity. We had shit for a week. But something tells me that what I'm about to experience will be nothing compared to this week.

Shit, new boyfriend? But what took me to accept such a thing?

Caleb

I feel someone moving next to me which wakes me up immediately. I turn around to see who this person is, moving like I don't know what animal.

A brunette I saw a few times in lecture halls at university. I'm totally naked and so is she. She doesn't look bad at all, too bad I don't even remember fucking her. I get up slowly so I don't have to talk to her. I never stay the next day with a one night stand. And then I don't even know his first name. Julie, Juliette or Judith, I don't remember.

I take my head between my hands, I have a horrible headache. Hangover bastard..

I look for my clothes which are scattered all over the room. After 5 min I am dressed and ready to go down. I open and close the door slowly so as not to wake her. It would miss her pissing me off in the morning.

On the stairs I hear voices I recognize those of my friends. Arrived at the bottom of the stairs I have four heads looking at me suddenly.

- Uh I have something on the face? I ask, scratching my hair with a smile.

I look at them all puzzled, I don't remember having done anything serious though. I'm going to sit next to Elijah.

"Well, last night you and..." James starts, trying not to laugh.

I see the girl who was in my bed coming down the stairs and coming towards me with a smile on her face. He was missing more than her..

-Why didn't you stay next to me? she asks me, sitting on my lap.

I don't protest, too tired to argue with an unimportant girl.

"You knew Caleb was in a relationship uh..." Luke said.

-Julie and no he didn't tell me anything.

She shoots me a dark look that makes me neither hot nor cold. I turn to Luke to give him a look of incomprehension. But what is he saying?

- Caleb see! Your boyfriend isn't going to be happy…, Arthur replies with a fake disapproving expression.

My what ? Boyfriend, what is he talking about? I feel Elijah fidgeting next to me and I look at him. He gives me a sorry look. Wait sorry? But why...

-Boyfriend ? , cries Julie, getting up and pointing a finger at me, are you gay?

-What ? I ..

- You really fucked my face! I hope it was worth it you bastard, the brunette shouts at me then turns to Luke, and you can dream! Arh! Fuck you all!

She leaves like a fury perched on her 10 cm heels and slams the door violently. The three boys in front of me are laughing except for Elijah and me. I give him a nudge to ask him what's wrong with him.

-Dude, we did something stupid last night…, he whispers with the same sorry look from earlier.

-What are you talking about ?

-The challenge you both accepted! Said James who looked like he was having a good time.

A challenge ? I vaguely remember agreeing to something related to Elijah but it was a dream.. Unless! It seemed too real to be just a dream...

- Damn I thought it was a dream! I said standing up surprised.

I look dumbfounded at my colleagues then turn to Elijah who hasn't moved since a while ago. How can he stay so calm?

"Did we really accept Elijah?" I whisper, hearing my voice tremble.

-Yes.. We were completely stoned..

-Okay, let's get down to business, says James with a smile that sends shivers down my spine, we're going to add a few more rules. It's not every day that we get to have gays in our fraternity after all.

James can have twisted ideas and be very convincing, it's not for nothing that he is the president of Kappa Alpha Phi, our most popular fraternity in our university. I've known him since my first year here, we joined the fraternity at the same time. From his first year he replaced the former president, unheard of.

I may be one of those best friends with Elijah, but I know we're gonna fuck with him for agreeing. Damn what the hell did we get ourselves into?
