Chapter 4: Found My Right One

Everyone looks at her.

"Umm...Hai?" Alora awkwardly waved.

Then, the hybrid gasps and hides behind the oldest. They look afraid.

"I-It's okay!! I'm harmless!!" She opens her arms to convince them that nothing dangerous on her.

"She's right, guys. She's the one who helps me." Jackson, the fox said.

"Are you sure, Bro?" The bunny asks.

"If I'm not, I wouldn't bring her here. Am I right?" He asks and walks away leaving them with her.

The three hybrids holding each other hands. Alora looks down knowing they are scared of her.

She is afraid that her words will scare them even more if she speaks.

'Look like...they afraid of me?'

She pouting. Suddenly, someone spokes.

"W-Who are you?"

She lifted her gaze and saw a tiger hybrid speaks. His ears twitching and he seems like trying to smell her. Just to check her.

"I'm Alora. Nice to meet you guys." She smiles at them. "You?"

The tiger gives a sharp gaze to her. From there, Alora knows this one is fierce. Looks like she has to be careful with her movement.

Alora moves closer toward them and the tiger growling while bringing the other hybrid behind them. More like protecting them.

'Cute.'

She giggles. "You guys so cute. When you protect them, you remind me of my twin."

"Y-Your twin?" The cat finally spokes.

"Yup. He such a troublemaker. But, he such a sweet guy and kind. Even annoying sometimes." She exclaims. "He and his hybrid such a sweet couple. I adore them."

"Hybrid?" Jackson asks and sits with them.

"Yes. My twin has a hybrid and both of them are couples. Why?" Alora frowns in confusion.

"How can...there someone...live with a hybrid?" Jackson mutters.

"Of course there is. Don't you know?" She asks.

He shakes his head and looks down. She looks at them and scanning them. They probably have a bad past and she doesn't want to ask about it.

"Oh...um...my twin love hybrid. A lot of people love hybrid. Well, I can't say...everyone. But still, there's someone out there who loves hybrid." Alora exclaims.

"You?" He asks.

"Me?" She points at herself. "Dude!! Of course, I did!! They are so special and unique!!!"

He nodded and he can see it. The way she helps him already proves it.

"Anyway, this is my brothers." He mentions those hybrids.

"This is Isaac, the cat." He ruffles his hair. He has silver hair and cute cheeks.

"This is Damien. The tiger and...he kind of fierce among us." Jackson explains as he pats the tiger head.

Alora feels a little bit scared when saw him glaring at her and his jaw clenching.

"The youngest, Noah. The bunny." He said. He hiding behind Jackson and peeks his head a little bit.

"So cute." Alora giggles. "It nice to know you guys." She smiles.

"Us too. Thank you, Alora for helping me just now." Jackson bowed.

"It fine. Uh...if you don't mind...can I ask?"

He nods with a smile.

"Well...uh..." Alora pause for a while because of hesitation. "Do you guys have...owner?"

When she asks that, Damien suddenly growling loudly causing her to flinch. Jackson calms him down.

"Alora, we...run from our owner so we don't have one." He said while scratching Damien's ears.

Her terrifying eyes being replaced with sparkling with happiness. She about to stand up but bump her head on the roof. The roof is too short, and that what we call a treehouse, isn't it?

"Ouch..." She rubbing her head. Noah let out a 'pfft' sound. "Sorry about that. But, do you want me to adopt you?" Alora asks with a hint of excitement.

Jackson seems taken back by the question. So do the others. They silent and they look shocked.

"Um...am I say something wrong?" She asks in confusion.

"You...Do you want to adopt us?" Isaac asks.

She nodded. The three of them exchange looks.

"What you guys think?"

"We...We just know you." Jackson said.

Alora though he has a point. She looks down and pouting her lips. She was too excited and didn't think about what they feel.

"Oh...Sorry...I shouldn't say it too quickly."

"But...you look harmless..." Noah said quietly.

She smiles and nods. "Thanks."

Suddenly, her phone ringing. she pickss it up and it was Alex.

"Hello?"

"Hey!! Where are you!?" He yells. But that time also Alora put it on speaker. So those hybrids also heard it.

"Why? What do you want?" She asks.

"I'm in front of your house. We're going to your ex-boyfriend married tomorrow. Remember?" He reminds her. Honestly, it makes her sad hearing that. "You ask me and Yui to get you a gown for the wedding." Alex continues.

"Yeah. Um...I will go now." Alora said quietly with a hint of sadness.

Without let Alex reply, she hangs up. A heavy sigh escaped her lips. Why does she have to go? It is not like he cares whether she goes or not. Matthew is happy and that is what she thought. Not with her but...someone else.

"Are you okay?" Noah asks but his voice sounds whispering.

"I-I'm fine. I have to go. Well...uh...I respect it if you guys didn't want me to adopt all of you. I can't force hybrid to live with me." Alora gives them a reassuring smile. "But I can visit you guys anytime right?"

"Sure..." Jackson nods.

She smiles again and nods. Before she opens the door, "It's nice to meet you guys. Bye Bye!!" She gets down and closes the door.

Her feet landed on the ground and sigh. She looks up and pouts.

"Well, Alora. Just pray that they will change their mind." She mumbles and walks away.

Next morning~

Wedding music is being heard. Everyone clapping their hand as the two married couples walking on the aisle. Alora just watching them with no emotion. But, inside her heart is breaking into the piece. That was supposed to be her. Who links her arms with him, kisses him, her name, and she's the one who is supposed to say 'I do'. But now, it changes in just one blink of an eye.

"I pronounced both of you, husband and wife!!"

Everyone cheers loudly. Yui holding her hand catching her attention." I'm fine." Alora said.

Now it's time to dance. Some people dance with their partners. Alora just eating while watching Alex and Yui dancing to the slow music. Thank goodness that they understand she wants to be alone.

"What's the point of coming?" Alora sighs.

"Alora." A voice who break her heart calling her. She takes a deep breath before the turn to him.

"Hm?" As soon as she turns around, there he is. With his wife.

"I'm happy that you coming. I thought you are not." Matthew said with a smile.

"I promise though. I can't break the promise." Alora chuckles.

"That's great. Hai, I'm Merinda, and it's nice to meet my...husband's first love." His wife offers a handshake but Alora can see fake in her eyes. Obviously, she doesn't like Alora.

"Um..I'm sorry. I'm not shaking my hand with a fake." Alora said with a fake smile.

Those two couple jaw drops. Merinda scoffs and steps forward. "Fake? Just say that you are angry and jealous that I got your husband." She smirks.

"Merinda!!" Matthew scolds her.

"Angry? Jealous? Why would I be?" She raises her eyebrows. Somehow it makes Matthew hurt by her words.

"I'm not gonna waste my tears on a cheater. Cheater stays cheater. Be careful, darling." Alora said and smirks before walks away.

She can hear Merinda groaning and cursing behind her.

"I'm done with this stupid party." Alora hands the drink to Alex.
