Family.
Millie POV.
"Ready to go meet the family?" he asks me and I nod, turns out Ethan isn't so bad after all.
"Sure," I say feeling shy all of the sudden, being along with my father isn't the worse thing, but meeting others, I'm not sure how excited I'm about that.
"It's me, but you know that already, I got a son, well an adoptive son, his name is Roman you'll meet him in a bit, and my nephews, Raphael and his mate Aurora, you met them, and finally there are the twins but they are off in the puppies academy," he says.
"The academy is for real?" I ask him, I know I watched the ad, and I saw those and I heard about the academy, but I didn't know if it was for real or not.
"Of course, it is, what did you think? We lie to people?" he asks me and I chuckled, maybe!
"Maybeee...I'm not sure if you lying or not," I say honestly.
"We're not, and I won't lie to you, I'll never lie to my own daughter," Ethan says, he's taking his father's role very seriously.
"Okay, thank you," I say not really sure, mom lied to me for a whole one hundred years.
We left the office and went to a living room this time instead of the kitchen, we saw the same guy from earlier with the same little girl, cuddling and watching TV.
"Don't you have anything to do?" Ethan asks the guy.
"I have her, she's a full-time job," he says pointing to the girl who's cuddling with him.
"This is Raphael, my nephew, he's the next alpha in charge, and the little one is Aurora his mate," Ethan introduces.
"Hi, what's your name? Are you a little?" Aurora asks me excitedly.
"I'm Millie," I answer one of her questions, avoiding the other one.
"Nice meeting you Millie, welcome to the family," Raphael says getting up and giving me a side hug, while Aurora gave me a full hug, she's strong for her small size.
"I'm so happy to have a girl in the house, it's boring with mom being away," she says, and I just pet her head, we're the same size, but she feels so small compared to me.
"Rory, let the girl breath," Ethan says pushing her away from me.
"She smell weird," Aurora, or Rory as my dad called her, says, I took a sniff but I didn't smell weird or of sweat.
"We'll talk about that later," I heard Raphael whisper to her pulling her back and away from me.
"Let me show you the place, we're going to stay here," Ethan says, but he didn't introduce my said step-brother, the one I'm going to meet.
"Okay," I say, wanting to ask him about the brother but not yet.
"This is the alpha's house, which mean it's open for all of the pack, wolves are very social, we don't enjoy living alone, and we visit each other often," Ethan explains.
"Vampires aren't," I mumble we stay alone most of our lives after we reach adulthood, but since I just reached the one hundred mark, I didn't leave my parent's home until now and I didn't like the idea of being alone, maybe it's my wolf side talking.
"What about you daughter? You like being alone? Or prefer staying near?" he asks me.
"Near?" I ask not so sure what to say.
"You can decide if you want to stay here with your uncle pack, or back in my pack," Ethan explains.
"What about mom? And dad...I mean Michael?" I correct myself, he's not my dad.
"You can call him dad if you want, he's the one who raised you," Ethan says making me smile.
"That means we're a big family now?" I ask him and he smiles back.
"Yes, we're one giant family now," Ethan explains, and now speaking about giant families, I felt brave enough to ask him about the brother.
"You said you had a son?" I ask him, would I meet him, would he be here? Or back at his pack place.
"Yes, Roman, he went to get you a welcome gift," Ethan says and I smiled, although I had brothers from my mom, they never got me gifts, we usually fight and try to bite each other's neck.
"Okay," I say happy about my coming gift.
"You're gonna share a room with your brother, you'll stay in the twins room," he says pointing to a closed room.
"Would they get mad?" I ask, if someone used my room without my permission I would be really bad.
"Who?" he asks confused.
"The twins," I answer him.
"Oh no, Leah and Caleb said it's fine to use their room, they're off to the academy for god knows how long, it's better than having empty rooms for such a long time," Ethan answers.
"Why would they stay for so long?" I ask him.
"It takes time to find your mate," he says .
"How would they know who their mate is?" I ask curiously.
"You just know, it's the way they smell, they feel, they look, your whole wolf side would be jumping happily wanting to be with them," he says.
"Love from first sight?" I ask him.
"Exactly," Ethan says with a smile.
"Then why are you single?" I ask him, if there's an academy and you get to stay there as long as you need, why is he single.
"My mate...my mate...I'll tell you that story later," Ethan answer me.
"Okay," I say, I really want to know but until he's ready to tell, I'll wait.
"Dad," we heard a new voice call.
"That's Roman," Ethan says guiding me back downstairs, we saw a guy waiting for us, black hair, green eyes, as tall as Raphael, he looked at me with a smile, but when our eyes met he frowned, and then he threw a bag on the ground and ran out, what's wrong with him?
"Ethan? Why did he left?" I ask confused.
"It's nothing daughter, it's nothing, he just feeling a little antsy," Ethan assures me.
