Chapter 6: Leo's First Patient

When everyone saw Venus' face, they all opened their mouths in shock.

There were no longer any blemishes on Venus' face. It was smooth and delicate. She looked much younger than she really was!

Venus had screamed out of excitement. She had noticed that her face had become incredibly smooth, and even the crow's feet at the corners of her eyes disappeared.

This kind of change was the best gift for a woman who cared about her appearance.

Leo finally felt a weight lift off his shoulders and let out a long sigh of relief.

"Young man, your skills are truly amazing. Thank you," Venus said, gripping Leo's hand with genuine gratitude.

This sudden change left Jessica and the others completely stunned. They widened their eyes in disbelief.

"Young man, you must be a doctor. Your medical skills are extraordinary. Can you treat other illnesses?" Venus wanted to cure her bedridden father.

"Well... If I can take a look, there shouldn't be any problems."

"My father is ill and now in Lakeside General Hospital. If you can cure his chronic ailment, I will reward you!" Venus let go of Leo's hand and was ready to take him to the hospital.

Leo glanced at Sophia. "What about our conflict..."

"Forget about it. I won't cause any more trouble," Venus said, clearly in a good mood. "Oh, by the way, why did those strange blemishes appear on my face?"

Leo explained, "The moisturizing cream you used is fine, but your facial skin is a bit unique, and combined with your recent mental exhaustion, it caused the condition."

Venus nodded in understanding. She had indeed been exhausted lately because of her father's situation.

"So, I shouldn't use that brand of moisturizing cream again, right?"

"That's right," Leo nodded.

"Alright, then let's go. If you can cure my father, you'll be rewarded with thirty million dollars!"

Thirty million dollars?

The onlookers gasped. This woman was indeed wealthy. Thirty million dollars was quite a lot.

Jessica was also shocked. Sophia's cosmetics company had an annual turnover of just over ten million dollars, and after deducting all costs, a net profit of about five million dollars was considered very good.

Leo pondered for a moment and then nodded. "Let's go."

"Leo, stop, you can't go!" Sophia suddenly blocked Leo's path. "You're not a doctor at all. If something goes wrong, you'll end up in jail!"

Sophia was genuinely worried. Although she had no feelings for Leo, they were still legally family. If Leo was arrested, she would also be influenced.

Moreover, that woman's brother was the richest man in the city. If Leo caused any trouble, it would be a huge problem. He might be sued, and the entire Henley family might get dragged into it.

Leo thought Sophia was concerned about him and smiled. "Don't worry. I'll check the patient first. If I can't help, I won't do anything."

"Leo, can't you open your eyes and see what you truly can do? You cured some blemishes, but it doesn't mean you're omnipotent. If you get into trouble, we will not clean up your mess!" Jessica said coldly.

Leo gently pushed Sophia aside and said to Venus, "Let's go."

"Leo, you dare! Never come back if you leave!"

As they walked away, Sophia became anxious and said to Jessica, "Mom, you go home first. I'll go to the hospital and keep an eye on him."

Sophia stomped her foot and chased after them.

No matter what, Leo had helped her today, and she didn't want Leo to get himself killed.

"Mom, should we go too?" Tina asked her mother.

"Of course, yes. I wanna see how that guy will amaze me again."

Leo's change today truly surprised Jessica.

"I'll get the car," Gilbert volunteered.

"What car? Leo took the keys."

"Then we'll take a cab!"

Gilbert was eager. He thought Leo had just been lucky earlier and accidentally matched the right treatment for the blemishes.

Now, Leo even dared to treat the richest man in Langstel. He was absolutely reckless. Gilbert didn't want to miss such a spectacle.

The car sped along the road, with Leo driving, Sophia in the passenger seat, and Venus in the back.

"Leo, you'd better think twice. There's still time to turn back," Sophia reminded Leo again.

Leo responded with the same answer, "Trust me."

Looking at Leo's face, Sophia suddenly felt that he had become a stranger.

They had lived together for four years, but was he still the man who obeyed her every word? Perhaps she had never truly understood him.

Venus's phone rang.

"What? Did you say father has been moved to the ICU? Wasn't he fine yesterday?" Venus's tone was anxious. "Harry, I'm on my way."

After hanging up, Venus turned to Leo. "Young man, my father is in trouble again. Can you go any faster?"

Leo stepped on the gas.

At the hospital, Venus headed straight for the intensive care unit.

Leo wanted to follow, but Venus stopped him. "Sorry, I brought you here to see my father, but he's critically ill and about to undergo surgery, so..."

Venus showed an apologetic expression.

"Don't worry. I haven't checked the patient's condition. If you let me take a look, maybe I can help."

Leo had his own reasons. He wanted to help.

He now had the mysterious energy within him and the vast knowledge of Atrarian traditional medicine in his mind. If he could show his abilities, he wouldn't have to live under the Henley family's shadow anymore.

Especially since the patient was the father of the richest man in Langstel, Leo didn't want to miss this opportunity.

Seeing the sincerity in Leo's eyes, Venus hesitated. Leo had come all this way at her invitation. It would be unfair not to let him see her father. So, she nodded in agreement.

As Venus and Leo entered the ICU, Jessica and the others arrived outside but couldn't get in.

Following the doctor's instructions inside, Venus and Leo changed into sterile clothing before entering the ward.

On the hospital bed lay an elderly man with gray hair, hooked up to various tubes, with an oxygen mask over his nose and mouth.

Standing by the bed was a slightly chubby middle-aged man, whose anxious face Leo immediately recognized on TV as Harry, the richest man in Langstel.

Next to Harry stood a foreigner in a white gown.

Harry turned to Venus. "How's our father... And who is this?"

"Harry, this young man is a doctor. He cured the blemishes on my face. I brought him to see if he could help father."

Harry scrutinized Leo suspiciously. "Young man, which hospital are you from?"
