Mother (2)

Clutching her flute and sword, she was crying. Going to her home in the forest it still remained standing, going in to see Bao Siyu was gone. Though it did not bother her, she wanted to be alone. Laying onto the bed she cried with tears filling the whole night.

Waking up in the morning she had packed all she could knowing that she was on her own again. Wearing a bamboo hat, going to the execution of her mother's, she saw her mother one last time. "I may have been framed, but I hope this town will befall from its greed!" Her mother yelled as she cried walking away, feeling a grudge grow against the town.

Hearing the sword slash down, she went off as her mother still died either way in her life, be it old or new. Filled with anger, she wanted to rid of people with greed, nobility, and more. Wanting them all gone, but she had to get away first. Yet, it was still like an impossible wish for something selfish. Her mother wanted her to run away from her father. Her father would do anything to ruin her life. Traveling on foot, she heard horse's running, immediately knowing who it was. Running now, she saw it was Hua Jun Jie chasing after her. He was likely a soldier of her father's troop by negotiating with him into some agreements. Starting to run, she was climbing the cliffs and mountains ahead of time which were also good if they followed using horse which could not travel too high or steep.

Traveling up she, hearing arrows being shot from below. Using her sword she started hitting every arrow she could see coming her way. Going back to traveling up, they followed her as they were still below. Making it up she heard one arrow behind her, but it had already hit her back. Feeling the pain, she didn't care, it wasn't as painful as her mother's. Nearly falling down, she stabbed her sword into the rock to avoid falling and giving up. Hurrying up now, she needed to run away so that she could one day take revenge for her mother.

Making it to a cliff, she held her back with the arrow remaining in it. "Li Qi! Come back to me! It's the only way to save you." Hua Jun Jie yelled out wanting to save her. Huai Li Qi looked to him once as a friend but now an enemy. Another arrow was shot, it had been shot into her leg. Leaving Huai Li Qi on one knee, she looked to see, it was her father. His gold-yellow eyes was just like hers.

"Jun Jie, you will not marry this daughter of mines. You will marry my eldest daughter, Qing Ge." He said. Hua Jun Jie couldn't believe Huai Li Qi's father would shoot her when they were biological family.

She knew though that her father could kill his own blood and flesh if he wanted to. Looking down to the river at the bottom she smiled to them. They were then in thought of what she was going to do. They didn't know what she was going to do until she had jumped down the cliff with no fear in her eyes if she died or not. Everyone was in wide eyes shocked, she felt the impact of the rushing water pushing her with the current.

Feeling her body, it was heavily injured and in pain but her heart was the most in pain. Opening her eyes to see Bao Siyu, he was swimming to her, feeling air being passed to her. Looking closely she saw his red eyes gleaming at hers. Their lips touching as she soon felt herself surround in pitch darkness.

Waking up, her body aching, she couldn't get up very well but forcing herself to. Close to tears, she was breathing heavily due to the tremendous amount of pain. Soon seeing that she was in a new set of clothes also. Getting up, she walked weakly where she found the walls were poorly built and the door was not in the best condition. Hearing men on the other side of the door.

"Get justice for her mother. We all know that her mother wasn't the one at fault. She was framed by those in the town." Hearing men's voices she then slowly open the door and carefully walked out seeing them.

Seeing a group of men, they were at a table outside. Huai Li Qi saw Bao Siyu at the center, trying to bow to them as they all then rushed to her.

"No need to bow! Your injured." Her bangs still in her face, she looked to them all. She couldn't speak, it was the only way to show her gratitude.

"She can't talk." Bao Siyu told them which they didn't know. They were now looking at her, they helped her up to sit down on one of the cut up log used like a chair. Looking to all of them she didn't understand why they would help her. She only knew about writing from her mother who taught her words that were enough to learn.

"Why did you all save me?" She wrote down on the dirt floor. They looked to her as Bao Siyu went up to her.

"You have something to fulfill." Bao Siyu said to her.

"I know what you mean, but I must not involve you all into this." Writing again she looked to him.

"Your mother was framed. My men and I have seen what they were planning. If you wish to let us help you then we will." She looked to him. She couldn't let him be involved when he already did involve himself in the past.

"It's okay. I will do it. This involves my mother. Do not worry." Holding her sword and flute, she looked to them. "I thank you all again. Let us one day meet again." She wrote lastly. Starting to walk out of their territory, they were all surprised how she could do that on her own.

"Wait!? Are you sure you want to manage this alone!?" One man asked to her. She smiled turning to them. Nodding to them she then took off the Dragon jade bracelet meant for the chief which now belonged to another. She kept the Phoenix jade and tossed the Dragon jade to Bao Siyu as he caught it in his hand. It was a thank you gift but also so that they would know each other and meet again one day, if it was meant to be.

Carrying her bag, she had brought out, she started walking down the street. They watched her go, not even thinking she would be like that.

"Siyu, are you going to just let her go?" Lang Ye said looking to him.

"We will meet again. I'm not sure why, but I can somehow see her telling me we will meet again." He told him.
