Close Call

Huai Li Qi's body had been improving little by little. Bao Siyu would tend to her even he would try to make sure she wasn't keeping secrets or being stubborn. There were times when she would be fussy when he would try to feed her when she can do it by herself. He would chuckle to her expression as he enjoyed playing with her. She was glad that she no longer had a fever and could finally stand on her feet again. Jumping out of the bed, she dressed herself, opening the doors after. Bao Siyu was waiting outside for her as she smiled to him.

Her sisters were exhausted, Prince Hui Ru was giving them nothing until they finally found it. Prince Hui Ru was rather drunk only. Bao Siyu smiled knowing that they were about to have him soon suffer.

Huai Li Qi was outside taking a breather for a bit. She turned around to see someone familiar. Hua Jun Jie was there with his father at their brothel. She called forth a messenger, giving them a letter they nodded and ran off. Turning around to see that Hua Jun Jie had spotted her. She now had to hurry and leave before things got too troublesome.

Rushing off, she went into a room then went on to the next to find a way to hide in it. Going into an unknown room, she closed the doors, panting out of breath from running. "Little Lotus, did you come here to take a bath with me?" Turning around, she saw Bao Siyu was in the bathing room. She gasped covering her eyes not even thinking that she would stumble on him in that way.

"Hey! Li Qi! " She heard from the other side of the door, she then had to hurry along. Going into the large marble made bathtub, she ducked under when Bao Siyu was still inside at the same time the door barged open. "Li Qi!"

"What brings a young gentlemen here?" Bao Siyu said to him, Hua Jun Jie looked to him confused.

"Sorry, have you seen a young man who was this tall and looked like a woman." He said. Bao Siyu only looked to him showing no signs of seeing anyone.

"If I did, then I would have kicked him out. This is a brothel." Telling Hua Jun Jie as he sighed.

"Please do tell me if you see him." Closing the door behind him, he left going down the stairs.

Huai Li Qi didn't know if Hua Jun Jie was gone yet but Bao Siyu ducked under pressing their lips together. She was surprised, not even expecting him to do that she then rose up. Panting and clinging to the side of the tub he smiled looking to her.

"Did you enjoy that kind of kiss?" He questioned her with a smirk as she looked to him. Flicking his head lightly, she didn't think he would do that. She was hoping he would pull her up so that she could know that she was good. Not pass air to her underwater.

Getting out of the tub, she was soaked, nearly thinking that her life was going to be taken in the end in water. A towel was wrapped around her which Bao Siyu hugged her from behind.

"I'm glad you came here. If you didn't then you would've been caught by him." He told her. She had no choice but to run there anyway. If she had any other escape route then it would've been easier for her but escapes routes in the brothel wasn't easy since it was covered almost all around with brick walls and roof tiles.

Wiping her face, she was soaked as she went out of his room. He followed her until she had made it to her room. "Change out of the clothes and make sure you don't get a fever again or... you could and I could watch over you again." He said seeing it as a good idea. She punched his chest lightly then closing the doors on him. He laughed a bit walking off.

He then went to the front entrance seeing Huai Ning Ge. She was yelling at Hua Jun Jie. "Jun Jie! You shouldn't be coming here when you have wives already and your about to be a father! I was told that you came here!" Huai Li Qi remembered that was exactly how Huai Ning would be back then in her old life. She was going to be a mother but she was still childish.

Bao Siyu remembered how Huai Ning Ge used to be so nice but it's because she was hiding her true self inside. She was meant to uncover the Lung Bandits and have them arrested. Everything she told him was a lie. She seduced him to find out where him and his brothers were. His brothers had luckily kept an eye on her and found that she was the daughter of General Huai Ying Zan. She had no features or any looks of her father besides her eyes.

Looking back to Hua Jun Jie and Huai Ning Ge, they were causing a scene as Weng Yan Mei rushed over.

"What is going on!? Don't cause a scene at our brothel! If you both wish to argue then argue at your place not here." Weng Yan Mei said to the both of them.

Hua Jun Jie sighed annoyingly grabbing his wife by the arm dragging her out with him. Bao Siyu walked out to approach Weng Yan Mei and Kei Ren. "Next time they arrive, inform me and your Sister Li Qi." They both nodded.

Bao Siyu would remember how Huai Ning Ge spoke to him so gently. He had his black hair that time and no red eyes. When he went to meet her, she had a group of soldiers there. They were her father's men that she used. She wanted to capture him and make her father proud. She didn't love Bao Siyu enough to keep him safe. He allowed her to shoot him as he barely survived but awoke the next day feeling fine but his hair had changed to silver and his eyes red.

His strength had started to unravel as he had to learn to control it. He lost his brothers but he had hope that they were still alive.
