Chapter 32 Inside Duty (2)

"What does master also want?" He Hung then replied.

"I want you both to keep an eye on my second wife, Xu Lin. There has been rumors that she's been going after another man. I cannot stand such reputation of mines to be stained." He said as both bowed.

Hao Fang and He Hung walked to their room that they shared together now they were stuck in another situation. "What is this rumor about? Like Lin had said. If he spent more time with her then maybe he would see the truth." He Hung was annoyed now but Hao Fang laid on his bed thinking about Kei Ren not caring about Xu Lin.

They were up and early at the pasture changing the hay and feed for the horses. Hao Fang then came across Xu Lin crying at the side as he then handed her a simple handkerchief. She looked up to see him getting up. "I don't need sympathy! Just leave me alone!" She said stomping off. He was only being considerate then going back to work.

He soon was bothered again by her, she went over to him looking at her. "Lend me a horse." She commanded, he gave her the usual horse. She got on riding off with the horse.

By noon she returned as she got off. Hao Fang returned the horse to its stable but she waited to talk to him. "How is it like having a lover?" She questioned him but he ignored her and carried a stack of hay to the horse. "I'm asking you a question! Don't ignore me!" She walked behind him as he sighed. She looked to him which she had just tried to kiss him. He had luckily backed up having to avoid letting himself be seduced by her. He knew the punishment if he were to mess with a married woman. He wasn't going to be led astray by some woman who wanted to use him.

"He doesn't talk to anyone but his lover and brothers. It's his choice and aren't you supposed to be back and eating with Master Jun Jie. He's been waiting for you to return." He Hung said as she walked off upset that he came in the way. "Fang, every time she is making it harder for you. Make sure to not get yourself into trouble." He Hung told him.

Hao Fang was getting worried as well. He was worried that Xu Lin would get him involved into something dangerous. Both were walking to their quarters, they came across the dining room with Hua Jun Jie and his wives.

"Will you always think of her!? Can you never forget her!?" Huai Qing Ge was yelling to her husband as she was angered. "Will you ever forget my abandoned low blood half sister, Li Qi! She is nothing to us!"

"She was nothing but a jewelry maker which was lowly!" Xu Lin then argued.

"She was not nothing! She had more of a heart than you both did! She never argued and was more mature than you both!" Hua Jun Jie barged out with both Hao Fang and He Hung who found information of their sister. They needed to inform about this to Bao Siyu.

Hao Fang and He Hung sent a pigeon with a letter to Bao Siyu. Hoping it would reach him. Although, they still had many duties to go with as they had to find out why he also wanted to look into the brothel since he was known to have be friends with the emperor.

Few days passed, they received a pigeon knowing to read the letter. "I'll look into the matter with Li Qi. Both of you have done a great job but keep an eye still on Hua Jun Jie." Bao Siyu sent the letter as both brothers were ensured to stay and find out more.

Hao Fang was helping to carry boxes for the manor until he saw someone familiar. Kei Ren was waving to him, he finished dropping off the box first then went ahead to her. Both smiled seeing one another as they hugged each other.

"How have you been?" She questioned as they had walked around outside the manor together.

"I've been better. How about you?" He said looking down to her.

"Things are busy but we do try our best. I really hope that you've been eating well. I brought another lunch bag for you. You make me worry about you all the time." She then grabbed a handkerchief wiping his face off that had some sweat and mess on him.

He held her hand looking to her. "You were concerned about me?" He asked. Kei Ren blushes just having to be so open and honest which he loved that part about her.

"Of course I'm concerned. I... I really miss you." She said having him smile. Holding her cheek, he slowly pressed their lips together. He no longer feared touching Kei Ren as she made his heart jump so much. He didn't care what others thought but he loved her truly more than anything.

"What are you doing here!?" Xu Lin yelled looking angered. "Why is there a woman here for no reason! Did we allow you to bring her here!" Xu Lin was yelling as she grabbed Kei Ren's wrist.

Kei Ren could feel her nails digging in her skin and started yelling. "Let me go! Your hurting me!" Hao Fang then grabbed onto Xu Lin's wrist as she released Kei Ren's wrist at the same time.

"What's going on!?" Hua Jun Jie saw it as he saw his second wife held by another man. "Release my wife!" He punched Hao Fang who then fell to the floor.

"It's not his fault. She started pulling me and dragging me out. I came here to see him." Kei Ren said as she went down to Hao Fang helping him up.

"Where's your proof?" Hua Jin Jie said as Kei Ren pulled her sleeve up with no shame. Showing her bleeding wrist with womanly nail marks. Hua Jun Jie had just settled a bad image of himself in his manor when everyone clearly saw it. "Men! Send my wife to her room!!!" Hua Jun Jie ordered his men.

"It wasn't my fault! I was trying to get this woman out of our manor!!! She could be a thief!!!" Xu Lin yelled angrily.

"She is my wife!" Hao Fang yelled loudly as they all heard him. He hugged Kei Ren close looking angrily to everyone and let them be clear. "No one can mess with my woman!" He yelled as everyone heard him having to see how Xu Lin has exposed her skin just to show the proof.

"My apologies for punching you and for my wife's actions. You may resume back to your wife and take the day off. I have to talk with my wife." Hua Jun Jie turned to face his wife as his men dragged her.

"Are you okay?" Kei Ren was crying as she rubbed the side of his mouth lightly.
