Chapter 5

Chase's POV

After dinner, the children ran off to the lounge to watch cartoons, the women went to help clean up dinner and us men were ordered by our Alpha to have a meeting upstairs. Jake has become a full on businessman the instant we believed we'd never see Bryn again.

So, we were all chilled out in Jake's office, which was newly done up. With a large window to look over the pack, a large wooden desk and dark hard wood floor, and a new book self-filled with history book, and rules. Don't forget the many lazy boy armchairs and sofas lined up in the room, that my but happily sat on. I was sitting on the sofa beside Charlie, Lucas and Nick were on the armchairs. "A rogue was spotted a few metres outside our border, so double patrol just for the next 2 days to insure it was just a wanderer" He said and we all nodded. Since the first rogues attack to this pack, and since Bryn was kidnapped, Jake has become a lot harsher on rogues. There has never been a second attack since and he's proud of that fact.

"Other than that, we should be good for a while, oh but don't forget that the pack barbecue’s on Friday night. You're dismissed" He said and we were all about to stand up but then the phone rang. Jake motioned for us to sit back down, so we obeyed.

"Hello?" Jake asked as he put the phone on speaker so we could all hear. "Hello, I'm Alpha Matt is this Alpha Jake?" The man said I frowned. We've never been called by Matt before, and I've never even heard of this Alpha. "Yes, this is him" He said and I heard Matt take a deep breath before he spoke again. "A fellow member in my pack has made a discovery that I'm sure you'd benefit from" He said and we all chuckled, what he is wanting to make a deal or something. "If this is a business deal, then I'm not interested" Jake said practically reading my mind.

The Alpha chuckled, "No of course not, my pack member found I.D #235 on the missing wolf website" He said and I raised my eyebrow, were we supposed to memorize every missing person I.D? "Just to make confirm, who is I.D #235?" He asks and the phone goes silent. "I.D #235 is Bryn Lockwood" The room went dead silent, in disbelief. I honestly thought this was some sick joke.

Jake growled into the phone, "Whoever this is, this sick joke isn't funny!" He snapped into the phone and Alpha Matt sighed. "At 2:30 pm yesterday afternoon Frank a member from my pack, who owns his own taxi was called out to pick up a customer. The guy that ordered the taxi turned out to be a rogue and offered $1000 for 2 people to be taken to lost springs, he accepted the deal, Bryn Lockwood and a younger child entered the car and was taken to lost springs. By the time Frank was aware that is was Bryn she and the child had already escaped into the forest" He said and the whole room broke into a smile.

"Where is she now?" Jake asked sounding a little too eager, but we would feel the same way if our mate went missing for 10 years and suddenly has been found. "Her whereabouts are unknown at the moment, but I have my trackers onto her trail and some they'll find her" He said and we frowned a little but was still grinning happily.

"Thank you so much Alpha Matt, is it OK if tomorrow we come stay at your pack until she is found?" He asks , "Sure that'll be fine, see you then" The Alpha hanged up and as soon as he did, Jake sprinted out of the room. We all leaped off the couch and ran after him, we were all shouting as we ran down the hall. Now imagine 5 fully grown werewolf's squealing like little girls running through the halls.

We jumped down the stairs and barged into the lounge. All our mates looked at us strangely, "What's going on guys?" Annabel asked us and Jake grinned so bright, "Bryn's alive!" Jake shouts and all eyes are on him. "What!?" Amelia asked running up to us with an excited face, "Jake was right all along, Bryn never died and they found her!" Nick shouted giving Amelia a big happy hug.

"Oh my gosh where is she?" Amelia asked and Nick frowned slightly, "They’re not sure but their tracking her down as we speak" He says smiling just like everyone else. "Aunty Bryn's alive!?" Bryn asks walking towards Nick and he nods smiling picking her up. "Yes, she is, and she'll be so excited to meet you" He said with doubt all over his face. Honestly, we had no idea how Bryn would react to Nick finding his mate and having too children. They loved each other and she'd most likely be upset, but once she calms down, I'm guessing she'd understand.

"We'll all going to go stay down to the pack that found her, while they track her down and it's best if you girls don't come" He says and all the girl’s eyes widened and glared at Jake. "Why can't we come!?" Louise snapped and Jake sighed, "She's been kidnapped by rogues for 10 years, she needs to see familiar faces any one new could freak her out. Who knows what her mental stability is, for all we know she could be traumatized" He says and their eyes soften in understanding and they nodded?

"OK fine but you better bring her back so I can meet her, I want her side of all the stories you guys says about her" Amelia said with a grin and we all laughed. "Oh god I miss her, you think she'd still like pranks?" I asked and every starting laughing all over again, and my mate Annabel eyes flashed with mischief. "Bryn likes pranks?" She asks and I snicker, "Babe she was the queen of pranks, she once glued me to my bed, when I was asleep!" I say and she laughs clearly mocking me, "Oh god me and her are going to be besties" She said with a soft smile and I nodded, I hopped that Bryn did get along with all the girls and fit into our group once again.

"Well come on boys we better start packing, it's time to find my mate!" Jake roared and we all cheered running up the stairs and into our rooms and packed for the most important trip of our lifetime...
