Helpless To Marry

Junes POV..

Did I just lie to my grandpa? Nevermind! I just need a legal wife to acquire the property. I have only my share that was given by my father after he decided to pursue his passion for music. I only owe half of the shares but that doesn't make me powerful and rich enough to be in top ten billionaire charts. Although I seem to be in the list, it will not be for long. I never knew I could be this useless not to find a woman.

I need to always surrender to my grandpa's wishes. I don't even want to get married. If it's not for monetary benefits, I would had simply led an easier life. I stay numb and dumb when it comes to him and I don't know why. Hold on!

I stayed silent even when that office employee asked if I own the lift to refute. What a mocking! Isn't the lift mine? I don't remember seeing her full face because of the mask. I hate Covid protocol all of a sudden. Why did I stay quiet? I should had fired her on the spot and told the HR to process the formalities. I didn't even ask her name who disobeyed me. Maybe because of my mask, she did not realise I was the owner of the very office she works in.

Chuck! It was my fault. My discipline policies in office are low grade I think. I need to make some upgrades eventually. Mona has to do it for me. She does not work anyway. Let me give her some work since her only work is to flirt with the male colleagues. Fun part is she doesn't even know that I am aware of her whereabouts.

I better leave his mansion now and get some work done back home. I still wonder how did I didn't say anything to that woman. No woman talked to me that way. I don't care about who she was but I could guess she was from the HR department since she entered the elevator from the HR floor. The idea could also be that she must be having some HR issues and a complaint must have been given by her manager. I think this is what it is.

It didn't take me much time to reach home and here I am already in the shower draining my tiredness for the day. I have two interviews to take from the candidates for the position of associate director. I need a good backhand by my side who could be trusted. I hope I am able to select either one but should be the best at work. I felt my brother could still come back and join me in the business. Let him enjoy life as long as he has girls around him. One day, he will realise the importance of being a boss and having your own money.

The first candidate is a former CEO of a start up company. With the coming of Covid, it has hit the business of many. I feel sorry that he is one of the victims of this pandemic. He must be having a good brain for business and could be a good asset who could help me open a sister company of my own.

The second candidate is a former business proposal director of a renowned company. I understand he is coming from a publishing house but it would be interesting to know him. I can hire another assistant for myself and eventually this would give less power to Mona. I don't trust her. She is pestering me ever since she read the property papers of my grandfather on my table without permission. The clause mentions that grandfather's property will get automatically transferred in grandson's name provided he is legally married within a time frame that is personally set by Mr. Cleveward. In case Junes Cleveward does not marry, the property will be auctioned for bidding for the suitable acquisition.

What kind of a condition is this I really don't understand. Why would he do this? He knows I am an ambitious man who always wanted to be a businessman. I will definitely not turn out to be like my father or brother who failed to keep the family business in good hands. Cleveward Group of Companies flourished after I joined as a CEO at the age of 24. Now that I am 28, he wants me to get married to acquire the property. I worked hard to make this company the top most in the country. I don't deserve such a clause.

"Hey brother, you are failing to find me a woman." I called and told my brother angrily.

"Junes, please give me some time. I already gave you so many options but your taste is so different."

"The options you gave me are your taste. You need to find someone of my taste."

"What is your taste again?"

"Intelligent, smart, clever and someone who is not willing to commit. Basically, a woman who is heartless."

"Women are always lovey dovey. That is their nature. You are making me hunt for an alien. Why don't you marry my ex-girlfriend? I just dumped her."

"Your girlfriend? I am sure she would be the clingy girl with big boobs and a big ass."

"That woman is pretty and too serious about work. She is just too dominating and boring. She deserved to be dumped."

"Then how did she deserve to marry me?"

"Well brother, you have a point. Even though I am just the adopted son in the family but I never felt like an outsider. I would like to have a sister in law who would treat me same as you do."

"You should not care about the way she treats you. She will just be a toy here whom I will pay for being married to me for two months."

"What if you fall in love with her?"

"I am not the kind who would fall in love and no one falls in love in two months. The only expert in falling in love is you."

"No dude. I just get attracted and then have fun. I don't commit to anyone. My ex-girlfriend was bogus and she wanted commitment."

"You broke her heart. Maybe she loved you for real."

"I am not some lovestruck man. She is too good a woman and still a virgin. She didn't even kiss a guy in her life and she even refused to have sex with me until we are married. Such a lame woman."

"Good for her. She would had married an asshole."

"Well, you are an asshole of another kind."

"Find me a woman soon. I will hang up first."

"Okey dokey. Bye."
