All Set for The Interview

Since Friya shortlisted the candidates, she very well knew several information about them. Her manager did not mind in giving her an opportunity to lead the interview process for them. This is the first time that the CEO is keen on taking the interview by himself. He wants to hire the best just like his grandpa wants. While Mona was busy discussing the interview questions with him, Friya knocked on the door.

Mona went outside to open the door and did not let her in. "Boss is busy. What are you doing here?"

"The interview process is about to start. The candidates are here already. You were not there in the cabin and so I assumed you will be here."

"Fair enough. I will inform him. Please tell the candidates to wait here in the lounge area. I will take it from here."

"Ok. Thank you."

Mona nodded and went inside closing the door almost at her face. She almost hit her nose on the door but she didn't seem to care. She turned to look at the candidates who were standing near the lift. She walked upto them gently, "You may sit here in the lounge area, you will be called. All the best."

They quickly sat on the couch without uttering a word. But, their eyes were busy scanning Friya as she looked very attractive even with the mask. Although they could not see her face properly, they could still guess her being extremely beautiful.

Mr. Kellan was called first followed by the former entrepreneur, Mr. Challan. The interview process started and Mona informed Friya that she is no more required to handle this case. She will take care of the rest. She did not care about it and continued to work. A chat box popped up on her screen from the IT cell. It read, "Did you spam the HR bonus mail with CEO in CC in the email by mistake?"

She rubbed her forehead remembering what she did yesterday. She quickly asked, "Am I in trouble?"

"Well, you tried to put our boss in trouble."

"It was a mistake. I thought it was some false email to fool me. I am new here and I am not aware of any bonus being given to new employees in the middle of the month."

"I see. I am closing the case as intimated by CEO. Your manager have been informed and you have been escalated by the CEO unfortunately."

"What?????? What should I do now?"

"Please talk to your manager."

"Ok I will. Thank you."

Friya felt upset all of a sudden. She turned to Dora with tears in her eyes. She spoke sadly, "Ever since I have joined here, I am falling in trouble again and again." She explained how she got a bonus and marked the email as spam. As Dora was about to speak, Friya's manager asked her to come to her cabin. She was sweating profusely out of nervousness. The manager looked at her angrily, "You have the guts to put our boss into trouble. I cannot take any responsibility. The CEO wants to meet you in his office. The interview you set up just got over, he is waiting for you. Don't make him angry by being late."

Friya's eyes popped out with shock. She was scared and she surely knows that she is losing this job. As she was about to enter the elevator, she met Mr Challan and Kellan, "Thank you for all the arrangements. Please do let us know soon." Mr. Challan spoke feeling grateful.

Mr. Kellan nodded and she quickly removed her hand from his grip who offered a handshake. She ran into the elevator hurriedly and gave them one last look to say, "Got to go, in a hurry. Bye."

It took her a minute to reach Junes's office and wondered where was Mona. She was wondering if Mona knew she has been called. She knocked at the door and a tall, handsome guy opened the door. He was not wearing a mask. As she has never seen the CEO's face, she could not guess if he is the one.

Junes recognised her in a minute. She was the same girl in the elevator. She could not help stare at her beautiful eyes. She got even more nervous and she stammered while speaking, "The CEO wanted to see me. I am the girl who marked the bonus email as spam."

Junes was surprised by the second brave act from her. He realises that she is Friya Morris. He calls her inside his office and closes the door behind her. She gulps down her saliva as she could sense some dangerous vibes radiating from him. He walks up to his table and sits on his chairs and gestures her to sit on the sit opposite him separated by his table.

"You can remove your mask. Let me see your face so that I remember the brave lady who dared to mess with me."

She obeyed but remained silent feeling guilty of doing so. It was vain enjoying her pizza last night as her happiness did not stay for long. She continued to remain silent and he was scanning her looks. She is attractive that could catch any man's attention. She just felt awkward being stared at, she spoke, "I am really sorry. I will not repeat it. I will take my leave now."

As she stood up to leave, he spoke in a serious tone, "Did I tell you to leave?"

She understood the meaning and sat back like a timid cat in front of him.

He chuckled softly and spoke, "Yesterday, you asked if I own the lift. Hope you have the answer now."

Friya's eyes widened. He was wearing a mask and now he could see clearly she messed with the CEO. Her head is already spinning and she wants to run away. "I am sorry. I was just thinking you might be one of the mood spoilers."

"What's that supposed to be?"

"I mean I just don't tolerate dominant people and I prefer to dominate instead."

He twitched his eyebrows and frowned. Seeing his expression which didn't seem so pleasant, she realised she made a mistake speaking, she showed him sorry eyes.

"Miss Morris, I will let you go this time since you found me two best gems for the company. I have hired Mr. Kellan as my second personal assistant and Mr. Challan as the associate director. You have a big mouth but you worked well."

"I am glad I was happy to help. I will leave now. I am really sorry for the trouble. It won't happen again. Thank you."

As she stood up to leave, he spoke again, "We can have lunch together and discuss further plans for a few more candidates that I may require for a few positions that would need close association to me."

"I like to eat alone. I am sorry. You can call me for a meeting to discuss your HR related requirements. Thank you."

"Very well then. Let's have a meeting later. Please Leave."

He watched Friya going out of his office and yet again he let her go. He was an angry beast but when he opened the door and saw her eyes, he became soft again. He was not angry for being refused to have lunch together but was disappointed instead. He decided to go for lunch when he saw Mona already bringing lunch for him. He frowned seeing her. She does not let him stay in peace.
