Let's play a game
I stared around, still looking for the owners of the voices. My legs continued to shake, and my breath came out in gasps, scared to my bones at the thought of what was going to happen to me in here. Who the hell owned the voices? Why are they still hidden? Playing games with me?
“Come forward, Miss Cold.”
The moment the gruff voice came once more, a door by my right opened, scaring the hell out of me.
I heard a scream, which I later realized was mine. My heart almost leaped out of my chest from how scared I was.
“Step in," the smooth melted chocolate type of voice ordered. And like the first time, I found my legs going towards the door without knowing what the hell was happening to me.
The odd thing was I couldn't stop my legs from moving. It was as if something was propelling me to go forward.
I gulped, scared to my bones the moment I stepped into the room, but the fear dissipated at the sight in front of me. I don't know what I hoped, but it wasn't this.
The room was beautiful, with sofas arranged to form a circle around a golden transparent table with an elephant figurine on it. The chandelier hanging from the roof illuminated the room, giving light to it because the curtains were closed.
I glanced around the place, and a yelp escaped my throat at the sight of two men with their backs to me. I took a step back and wanted to run out of the door, but the door slammed shut on its own, scaring the shit out of me.
“Christ!” I screamed at the top of my lungs, scared to my bones at what was happening. What the hell have I gotten myself into? Why did I sign up for this, thinking it was going to be as easy as my other jobs?
The men turned at once, and my breath hitched at the sight of the most beautiful men ever. They tied their identical red hair up in a ponytail, with just a few strands curled in their faces. Their blue, piercing eyes looked like a glacier, freezing anyone who dared to stare into them.
My eyes went lower. The two men looked identical, but their bodies differed greatly from each other. One looked muscular enough, like a football star, while the other had a slim waist and a figure that would make a swimmer jealous.
God.
These men were utter perfection. They looked like they just stepped out of a magazine. The only thing that made them different from those men was the paleness of their skin. They looked half dead. Locking themselves away from the world must have cost them.
“Miss Cold?” The one with the gruff voice asked as they stepped forward. Their eyes took me in, making me feel self-conscious. I gulped, trying not to stare at them.
“Mr….” I trailed off, not knowing what to call them. Aside from their last names, no one knows the names of the brothers — it was still a mystery.
“You came for the interview?” The one with the smooth voice asked, stepping closer to me.
I swallowed and nodded at the question, too scared to speak. The closer the brothers got, the more nervous I felt until it seemed like my soul was about to leap out of my chest.
Gracious Lord. Is it too late for me to return to yesterday?
“A bunny bold enough to step into our den, brother.” The one with the gruff voice smiled, showing off his perfectly aligned teeth, scaring the jellies out of me.
“Miss Cold, do you know what we do to bunnies like you?” He asked, stepping closer with each word.
My legs couldn't move. It was as if it were stuck on the floor, and won't budge despite my desire to get it out and race for the door.
I gulped. “N…no!” My voice came out shrill — too shrill for my liking.
His lips curved to the right. “You don't seem to know what you came here for, bunny.”
“I… I do! I showed up for an interview!” I yelped.
He laughed, glancing back at his brother, who hadn't said a word since he stopped moving. “You came for an interview, right?” He closed the distance between us so much that his height towered over me.
I have never felt as small as I felt in his presence. Just like he said, I was just a bunny who mistakenly stepped into a lion's den without knowing it.
“And what do we get from this?” He suddenly asked.
“F… Fa… Fame!” I stuttered out, startled out of my wits.
“Recognition?” He turned to his brother once more, and they scoffed at the same time. "We already have that, bunny. For you and the other humans to contact us, means we are quite 'famous.” His mouth curved at the side, and he looked like he was enjoying this, while I was shit-bat terrified.
“We… We… We can make you extremely famous!” I stuttered out, glancing towards the other brother, who had his arms folded and an amused expression on his face.
“Exceptionally famous?” He chuckled. “It seems you don't know what you are offering, human.”
The way he said the human word made it seem like it was dirt under his feet. They left me to wonder why he would speak of his species like that.
“We… We can do whatever you want.” I gulped, trying not to yell out, when he suddenly leaned so close to me, leaving no gap between us.
“If you wish to know more about us, bunny, we can strike a deal.” His tongue snaked out and licked his bottom lip.
I shivered at the sight, and a whimper tore from my throat at it.
God.
Here I was, thinking of his tongue when I was still in their den, with no idea of how I could escape from this place — unscathed.
“Deal?”
“Yes, deal. Let's play a game, bunny.” He smirked. “If you want to know about us, you need to strike an agreement with us.”
“What deal? What game are you talking about?” I surprised myself by speaking without stuttering. Though my body continued to shake, I tried to pretend to be strong when I was only moments from running out of there.
“A game of pleasure —intense, painful pleasure.” He straightened. “What do you say, bunny?”
I shivered. “What does it mean?”
Although I had an inkling of what he wanted from me, I still needed to hear it from him.
“It means you get to be our toy — fuck toy," he explained.
I took a step back, and another, finally free from whatever was holding me down not too long ago. My heart seemed to beat miles a minute as his words fully registered.
“You want me to …” I gestured towards him before I did so to his brother, and pointed at myself, stunned by their offers.
Shit.
Are these brothers insane?
Though I would get sufficient money and recognition by interviewing them, I don't think it was enough for me to willingly give my virginity away to these pale brothers.
“So?” He cocked his head to the side.
“No!” I hastily shook my head. “I won't do this." I took a step back, and then another until my back hit the door.
The other brother, who hadn't said a word, glanced at me. His eyes racked through my body before he turned his head, focusing on his brother.
“Seems like you have made up your mind, Miss Cold.” The brother I have been speaking to snapped his fingers. “Have a nice day. Should you wish to take us up on the offer, our door is open for you.” He turned his back to me. “Brother, let's go.”
I didn't wait for them to leave. I turned and twisted the doorknob, half expecting it to be shut, but was shocked to find it open.
I threw the door open, ran out to the foyer, and picked up my purse, phone, and pepper spray from the ground before I made a mad dash to the door.
The door that was locked when I tried to escape was surprisingly open, but I didn't dwell on how strange it was. I ran out of the house, banged the door behind me, and hastened towards the gate with my heart beating loudly in my chest.
My body felt icy dread, and the feeling stayed until I left the compound, and the gates locked on their own — obviously computer-controlled.
I looked like one who had seen death with the way I jumped into my car and zoomed out of the place without saying a word.
I drove straight to my home, winded by what had just happened.
