It was 6 in the morning when Sonia got up from bed and went outside her room only to be greeted by the side of her mother crying. Rushing to her mother and she asked,

Mom, why are you crying this early in the morning?

Your dad slapped and sent me out of the room because he asked me to help him with some cash and I told him I don't have it. Sonia mother said 

Alright, Mom, there is no need for you to cry. Just give me a minute and I will be back. Sonia said and left the sitting room back to her room and after some time she came out and walked to her mother.

Mom, this is 20,000 please keep it and you can give Dad some money when next he asks for it.

No dear you keep the money. I know you need the money more than I do so keep it. Sonia's mother said.

Mom, you don't need to bother yourself. I have some money in my account. Sonia said to her mother.

Thanks so much, dear, and I know it is not easy for you to be taking care of all the family problems. I feel sick and frustrated since I can't help you out with some of the household expenditure and the same goes for your stepfather who keeps doing nothing but adding to your burden. I feel like a bad mother to you ever since we were sent out of the pack after the death of your father and we moved here and I later married your stepfather. You have been the person who took good care of us and your siblings. That is why I keep praying every day for the gods to bless you with a good, kind and wealthy mate who will love you no matter your shot coming.

Mom, you are not a bad person. You are the best mom anyone can pray to have. Thanks so much, Mom for being my mom. There is no need for you to thank me. I was only doing my responsibility and that is for me to take care of you and my siblings no matter the situation. It is not a burden Mom.

Before I forget Mom I will be going to Camile's house today mom. Sonia 

Why is that dear?

Camile's mom hired me to bake Camile's birthday cake, so I am going to their house so they can tell me the type of cake design they need.

Wow, that's good news. Am happy for you because I am positive that when they taste the cake they will start patronizing you. 

Yes, Mom, that is why I am very happy. Sonia said

That Camile girl is a good friend and she knows how to help her friends out.

Yes Mom she is a kind girl and she doesn't look down on poor or average people. Mom let me go get ready now.

Alright dear, and I will just make breakfast while you go get change. Sonia mother said

After about 30 minutes Sonia came out of her room wearing a peach blouse, Jean trousers, and black leader slippers

Dear come sit down for breakfast. Alright, Mom. Sonia said and walked to the dining table so she could have her breakfast. 

After finishing her breakfast Sonia got up from her seat and hugged her mother and then walked out of the house.

She took a taxi to Camile's house and after about 45 minutes she got to the gate of Camile's house. When the gateman saw that she was the person at the gate he opened the gate for her to enter inside and one of the bodyguards at the mansion took her inside the mansion. 

The moment they got inside the mansion Sonia was greeted with Camile's voice.

Good morning Sonia! 

Good morning Camile, how are you doing?

Good and you?

Great.

Are you way too early?

Well, when it comes to business I need to be early so the client wouldn't wait for long.

Ohh yeah, Mrs businesswoman. Camile said jokingly. By the way, we are about to have breakfast. You join us.

Thanks, Camile but I will pass on this one. I ate before coming here. Alright if that is what you want then let me go call my mother I will be right back. Camile said and left the sitting room

While Sonia sat down on one of the couches in the living room waiting for them.

A few minutes later there was the sound of heels on the floor. Sonia, are you here? Camile's mother said and Sonia stood up from her seat and greeted her.

Good morning aunty

Good morning dear and how are you doing?

I am doing great Aunty and you?

Better dear and how are your parents and siblings?

They are all doing great Aunty.

We will be having breakfast soon. Why don't you join us? Camile, why didn't you invite your friend for breakfast?

Mom I did but she refused to join us saying she had eaten already. Yes, Aunt, I had my breakfast at home before coming over to your place.

Alright dear, do you have the photos of the type of cake you can bake? Camile mom asked

Yes, Aunt I do and if you want to see it now I can then show you.

Then let's take a look at the design before we go eat. Camile came to join us. Let's look for the type of birthday cake you need. Camile's mom said and they all sat down on the large couch while Sonia took out the magazines with all the cake types and designed and handed them to the mother and daughter so they could choose what they wanted and the type of cake they needed.

After a long period of looking at the photos Camile and her mother, both concluded the type of cake they need.

Camile, we love this cake and its design but you will just need to change the color of the cake to peach and blue. Since the cake is a four-step cake you will need to use blue cream for the design and where these white lines are you are to use peach color. And then after that, you are to put my daughter's photo beside the cake and then with 18th little candles.

Alright, Aunty. Am I to add anything to the cake?

Yes please add happy birthday Camile on top of the cake. Camille said

0kay.

So how much will it cost to get the cake? Camille mom asked 

Aunty based on the design of the Cake and the type of Cake since all that matters is the quality of the cake. The total cost is 300,000.

Alright dear just give me your account number let me send you the money so you can start working on the cake immediately  

After giving her account details to Camille's mother within no second the money was sent to her account number. Checking her phone to see the amount which was sent to her made her completely shocked.

Aunt's total amount needed for the cake is 300,000 and not 500,000 for Aunty. 

Is alright dear, I send that amount of money as my way of supporting your business and I know the money will help you a great deal so accept it.

It is nothing dear. You and my daughter have been friends for a while now and I also see you as my daughter so let's just say I am doing my motherly duties.

There is no need for you to be formal with me dear. By the way dear I will love it if you bake the cake at my house so it will be easy for you to transport the cake and when you are done you will just change your clothes here also.

Madam, the breakfast is set on the dining table. The chef said 

Alright, Mr. Samuel, we will be there soon. Also, please help call for my husband to come downstairs for breakfast.

Yes, madam.

Alright, Aunty let me live so you guys can have your breakfast.

Are you sure you don't want to join us for breakfast?

No aunt is perfectly fine. I will live now

Okay dear and please send my regards to your parents, especially your mother.

Yes Aunt I will inform her.
