CHAPTER 4: ECHOES OF DANGER

"Fuck!!" She cussed as she fluttered her eyes closed as I began driving my fingers in and out of her.

"Never try to escape from me again!" I whisphered hushly in her ears and she nodded. I added the fourth finger. "Use your words!!" I warned.

"Now repeat after me!...I won't try to escape from you again." I said, increasing my pace as her legs began wobbling.

"I promise I won't try to escape again." She mumbled breathlessly, her eyes rolling in pleasure. It came out as a moan.

Her cream whooshed out as it filled my hands I withdrew it as I licked it dry. "Sweet!!" I said and she hid her face in the crook of my neck, blushing hard.

"It's time to have your bath." I suggested and like that, I sweeped her off her feet as she let out a gasp. Her hands wrapped around my neck as I took her to the bath.

Few minutes later, I was in my throne room as elders sat in lined rows in both sides, all had disturbing looks on their faces.

I clearly knew what was going on on their minds but that shouldn't be case now, not in this era.

Elder Orson, the eldest amongst them stood up as the rest urged him to go ahead. I tilted my head, waiting anxiously to hear what he had to say.

"It has come to our notice that you went against the pack's dynamics by choosing a human as your mate." Elder Orson said. I knew it, it was going to be all about Clara. And so, what if she is a human, does it stops her from ruling alongside with me as my Luna?

All those days I watched her, I tried to resist the attraction and force drawing me towards her but couldn't. Definitely, the mate bond was stronger and I began to develop inner feelings.

"Is that a problem?" I asked, less concerned.

"I'm suprised you're saying this My lord!" Elder Orson said with suprise.

"Well you shouldn't be, with few trainings, Clara can be capable of being the Luna of this pack." I said and I noticed the discomforted expressions on their faces.

"It's the pack dynamics we are talking about here!! What about the consequences of breaking a rule?" He asked as other elders nodded their heads in support of his question.

"There will be no consequences, we aren't living in the ancient era. Don't worry about this. Carla will be groomed up and taught some fighting skills even though she doesn't possess wolf skills." I assured them but they didn't seem satisfied.

"Then what happens if this causes a big issue?" He asked and I let out a short smile.

"Don't worry about that, all will be fine. Nothing is going to happen!!" I replied.

"Well, we have done our best in trying to talk you out of your decision. We would take our leave now. But just think about this, is Clara aware of the danger and dark powers she is exposed to, being your mate?" Elder Orion stated as he and the elders began trooping out one after the other.

As soon as they left, my head sank in my palms. What have I done? I didn't think about that before claiming her as my mate. Now she was exposed to my dark world and the secrets that threatens to ruin it.

I must be ready and able to fight for the pack and protect her from the evils of my dark world. I must be able to shield her from dark powers.

I sent for Kilian at once as he came in, bowing.

"Get the artery ready now and inform Clara to meet me there." I ordered.

"Ok my lord!" He said as he left at once.

Her trainings would need to commence with immediate effects. This would be the only way to prove to the pack that she was fit to rule over them as the Luna.

I didn't want them passing on hate remarks on her behind her back, she also needs to learn some skills to defend herself when I ain't there to protect her.

I was determined to prove to everyone that I hadn't made a rash decision by choosing her as my mate, even if she was just a mere human.

It wouldn't be a difficult task for her since she seemed like a fast learner. My mind ventured to how she drooled on my abs that morning, I couldn't help but chuckle at how her face flushed to a shade of pink when I caught her. Her cuteness was on another different level, she had doll like features.

I found myself smiling as I replayed the scene in my head. When I almost slid ny finger inside her and she asked about what the punishment was all about, her eyes was filled with innocence and that alone illuminated by dark world as I lost control and slid my fingers in. Everything about her ignited heat in me, without even trying hard, she was a perfect and effortless seductress with a ravishing beauty.

Few minutes later, I was at the artery, setting the bows and arrows in place as I awaited Clara's arrival.

I sighed out, she seemed to be taking time. Minutes later, she arrived and as I observed her, she seemed upset about something.

What could have gotten her upset? Could that also be the reason why she delayed?

"What's up with you?" I asked as I watched her approach me.

"Nothing I'm fine." She shrugged, forcing a smile on. I could tell something was up, the vibe around her was odd.

"Are you sure about that?" I asked and she nodded with a pretence smile. Though, I knew something was wrong but I decided against pushing further.

"Alright." I said in defeat as she glanced around.

"Oh!! A bow and arrow!!" She exclaimed in excitement as she rushed to pick it up, her wavy black hair flowing behind her gracefully.

She picked it up, handling it in the wrong way as she seemed confused on her to use it. I let out a laugh as she playfully glared at me.

"Don't make mockery of me, this is my first time holding a bow and arrow." She snapped.

"I could teach you, you know?" I said as I picked up a bow and arrow and showed her the right placement. Then I released it and it hit the bulls eye accurately.

"It's so easy." I said proudly.

"Show-off!!" She mumbled with an eye roll. I smirked inwardly.

"Now try yours!" I said and as she stood she wasn't really getting the right stance. I went to stand behind her, taking her arms up a bit. I felt her body freeze under my touch and she let out an akward smile when our eyes met.

"Focus!" I mumbled and she instantly faced front, putting all her focus.

"Before you release it, you need to have a proper aim, let your eyes be leveled, avoid shaking your hands when you've already gotten the right pose." I tutored her as she nodded, taking notes of what I was saying.

"Now, once you've gotten the perfect aim, release it sharply." I said and she released it at once, it hit the target and she let out a loud scream.

"Oh my gosh!! I did it!!" She exclaimed excitedly as she jumped around, her eyes beaming with excitement.

I chuckled lightly, ruffling my hair.

"Congratulations!! Though, it was your first try but you still nailed it." I said .

"Thank you....I'm a fast learner you know?" She muttered proudly.

"Someone is about to show off?" I muttered teasingly, rolling my eyes.

And just as she was about to respond, a loud bell was rung. My eyes widened in shock as my ears stood at alert!

That bell was only rung when danger was lurking nearby. It's like a signal bell, more like a warning!

"What's wrong?" She asked in fear when she noticed my terrified look.

"Danger...." I muttered.
