Chapter 6
Killian's eyeballs became red with anger as he stared at the pathetic Sara. He picked up the stone from the ground and sighed.
“Diamond stone? Who could be so bold to place this stone on my Luna?” He growled, his intimidating aura could be felt miles away.
Jared was beyond shocked, he wasn't expecting Killian's sudden appearance. He nearly had a heart attack as Killian scraped off the stone at the very moment that he had waited for.
“Guards!” Killian screamed, and two men ran towards him.
“Yes, my Alpha.” They chorused simultaneously.
“Who did this to my Luna?” He asked them fiercely, and they both trembled.
They had suddenly felt dizzy and they both passed out while they were safeguarding Sara's room.
“Did you suddenly lose your voices? Didn't I instruct you to keep her safe?” He roared at them, his icy aura pierced through their heart.
Killian called another set of guards and ordered them to drag the incompetent guards out of his presence.
“Twenty lashes each,” he commanded, as they were being dragged out.
Sara coughed, and opened her eyes slowly. Somehow, the extreme heat she felt had subsided, and she wondered if it was due to Killian's presence.
“I am sorry you had to go through that.” Killian said to her, while Sara shook her head.
“It's alright.” She replied with a smile.
“Who was the one that tried to hurt you?” Killian asked her.
Sara stared at the ceiling as she tried to recall who the person was. Funny as it sounds, she couldn't remember the face of the person, it was as if his face had been erased from her memory. All that she could remember was the groceries he gave to her. She racked her brain further as she stared intensely at the groceries.
“Sara?” Killian called, taking her out of her thoughts.
“I can't remember, I only know that the person gave me those groceries.” She said, pointing at the groceries beside her bed.
Killian sighed,
“Don't take those groceries, I will take them back for investigation. You can visit the market when you are feeling better to get your own groceries.” He said to her, but was met my Sara's little frown.
“Take my badge. You can get whatever you want from the market without paying a dime.” He continued, and the frown on her face disappeared almost immediately.
“Thank you.” Sara muttered to him.
“Take some rest. I still have some things to do.” He said, as he walked out of the room. He had felt a strange feeling in his heart, and his mate pull was misbehaving, which hinted him that Sara might be in danger.
“Luckily, I arrived in time. Her identity might have been exposed for real.” He thought within himself. He was now sure that Sara was from the Red moon pack. The whitish smoke had begun to change to red when he scraped off the stone, but it was still little, and very hard to see at a glance.
He sighed, and continued on his way.
Three days after the incident, Sara had gotten better and even healthier than before.
“I will love to visit the market.” Sara said to Violet, who was busy knitting some clothes.
“The market? I can go in your place.” Violet said, as she dropped the cloth she was knitting.
“No, thank you. I have been here for a while, and I have not yet familiarized myself with most places here. Let me just go this time.” She replied her personal maid, violet.
“Alright then. But don't stay long.” Violent warned.
“Of course.” She replied. She knew fully well when to return, especially with the increasing atrocities of the rogue wolves.
She left her room and headed straight to the market. A lot of things caught her attention, but she made up her mind to get only the groceries that she needed.
“That's her. They said she is our Luna?” Someone said amongst the crowd.
“Our Luna? I am not even sure she is from our pack. It's my first time seeing her.” Another person added.
Sara could hear them perfectly, but she chose to ignore them, as she continued her walk down the market square.
She got to a grocery shop and got all that she wanted. Then it was time for payment. Sara took out the badge Killian had given her and showed it to the sales woman.
The woman glanced at the badge and flung her suspicious gaze at Sara.
“Who gave you this badge?” The woman asked, as she stared at Sara with condescending eyeballs.
“Excuse me?” Sara asked in surprise.
“You must be a thief? How could you have our Alpha's badge?” The woman screamed, which drew the attention of most people as they all gathered around them.
“What do you mean by that? It was Killian that gave it to me.” Sara replied coldly.
Anger and fury found their way through the woman's gut as she she boiled fiercely.
“How dare you call our Alpha by his name?” The woman screamed, she raised her hand in an attempt to slap Sara, but a huge force held her hand up in the air, which made her suffer great pain.
The force was a bit soft, yet harsh. Everyone recognized the force to be the Luna's own, and they all gasped in awe.
“She is truly the Luna?” They all murmured simultaneously as they bowed down before Sara.
Even Sara herself couldn't understand what had just happened, she had not accepted the mate pull, how could she tap into the Luna's greatest power.
She carried her groceries and walked hurriedly out of the market.
She sighed as she walked along the path that led to the town square. Strangely, the path was desolate and quiet which opposed to how lively and bustling it used to be.
Sara, who was deep in her thought didn't realize the danger that lurked around.
All she saw was a lightning flash in her eyes as a huge stick was used to hit her head, rendering her unconscious.
“Done! Carry her deep into the woods.” A deep-voiced man said, while the rest carried her far into the dangerous woods.
