Chapter Four

Gray's POV

About a week ago my Beta Ryan was out on patrol when he smelled a rogue and followed the scent and saw it attacking a girl. He attacked and killed the wolf before it could kill the girl and then he followed her and brought her to the pack hospital seeing as she was extremely injured from the attack and the fall she endured and even though she's a wolf she is very lucky she was still alive. It's been about 2 days since Ryan had brought her in and I decided to go and see if she was awake and ask her what she was doing on my land. When I walked into the hospital I got hit with the most pleasant smell of cotton candy and lemon with a hint of vanilla. I took a deep breath through my nose making me and my wolf go crazy so I followed the scent and it lead me to a room with an unknown girl laying on it unconscious and all scrapped and bruised. I realized that it was the girl that Ryan had brought in and told me about.

I looked at her and saw that she was the most gorgeous person I had ever laid eyes on. She had the prettiest light brown hair, stunning facial features and as I stared at her in awe I got the feeling of wanting to touch her and hold her in my arms and protect her from the world, there was also this pull I could feel towards her which confused and intrigued me. As I was looking at her I could feel my wolf jumping around at the back of my mind being very excited like a puppy as we just stood there looking at her.

'What's got you so excited?' I asked Hunter. Hunter is my wolfs name.

'I don't know, for some reason I feel very pulled to this girl and her wolf plus her scent is so yummy! We need to meet her and find out who she is' He says jumping around and howling even more.

'I know I feel the same way about her but there's nothing we can do until she wakes up. So please try and settle down before you give me a headache.' I say to him trying to get him to calm down some.

'Okay fine' Hunter huffs out before he lays down putting his head on his paws and whines at me while wagging his tail impatiently.

I was sitting in my office at my house doing some paper work trying to not think about the mysterious girl but I couldn't keep her out of my head for some weird reason.

'That girl I brought to the pack hospital is finally awake' my Beta Ryan mind links me

'Okay if she is well enough get her discharged and bring her to me so I can talk with her' I link him back

'Right away Alpha' he replies

I try to go back to the paper work I was doing but I couldn't focus on it knowing that she was finally awake. Ryan mind links me to let me know that they are on their way to my house. I sit there impatiently waiting for them to get here. After about 45 minutes of waiting I finally hear my front door open and I get bombarded with the most delicious scent in the whole world. I sat there taking deep breaths of the mouth watering smell when I realized it was starting to get stronger until they were outside my office door when Ryan knocks.

"Come in" I boom from behind my desk. Ryan opens the door and walks in with the girl trailing behind him carrying a duffel bag full of stuff. I nod to Ryan signalling him that he can leave as he nods back before turning and leaving us alone. I look at the girl who is frozen in place and I can feel how scared and frightened she is since it's rolling off of her in waves. I know my reputation exceeds me and anyone would be scared to be in my presence so I try to speak as soft as I can muster as to not scare her anymore then she already is.

"If you could so kindly come and have a seat and you can leave your bag there by the door" I say to her in the kindest voice I can muster. She nods her head and puts her bag down on the floor before walking over to the chairs in front of my desk and sits down.

"I apologize in advance I am not gentle or soft spoken person so if I scare you I'm sorry. Now what is your name?" I ask as gently as I can

"It's Nina, Nina Mikaelson." She replies back in a small voice

"What pack are you from?" I question wondering because she doesn't quite smell like a pack wolf or like a rogue either. My question makes her hesitate for a few moments before she reluctantly answers.

"I was from the Blue Moon Pack in Tulsa." She says with complete devastation in her voice.

"I'm guessing something happened with your old pack that must have been pretty bad if you would up down here in Texas." I say to her which makes her start to cry. I feel bad for making her cry so I get up and walk over to her and put my hand on her shoulder, when I placed my hand on her I suddenly feel strong sparks radiate from my hand up my arm and throughout my body making my wolf howl and jump around yelling the one word I was not expecting since I gave up looking a long time ago.

'Mate. Mate, Mate, she's our gorgeous mate' Hunter exclaims over and over again.

I know she felt it as well because she was now staring into my eyes instead of staring at the floor. She had the most gorgeous metallic blue eyes and the most breathtaking white hair, wait white hair but her hair was light brown when I saw her last in the hospital and now that I really look at her it's white with some gold highlights but how can that be. The longer we stare at each other the more beautiful she becomes and that's when I notice the marking on her beautiful face appear. She had a black crescent moon with a very nice black filigree on either side of the moon going across her forehead kinda like a crown.

"Mate" I finally breath out breathlessly

Nina's POV

Once I was in the office I stood there with my head down staring at the floor not wanting to look up at him even though his smell was driving me crazy. Ryan leaves and then Alpha Dark asks me to sit down so I place my bag where he said I could leave it by the doors and slowly make my way over to his desk and sit in one of the chairs in front of it. He asks me some questions and apologizes in advance about his voice and not being very gentle even though I can tell he is trying to be gentle as to not scare me even more, I answer all of his questions until he asks me about what happened to me at my old pack that would have brought me all the way down here to Texas from Tulsa. I got so overwhelmed by the question I started to cry and I heard him get up and walk over to me. When he placed his hand on my shoulder to comfort me I felt these intense sparks start to radiate from where his h and was and go all throughout my body making me relax and make my wolf go crazy.

She kept yelling 'Mate' over and over again in my head. I had finally found my mate and he just had to be the Alpha from the strongest pack in the world. I looked up at him and noticed he was a very sexy guy, he had metallic blue eyes just like me but with short black hair that was kinda messy from him running his fingers through it a hundred times. It was a very hot kind of look though and it suited him. After a little while of just staring at each other he sat in the chair beside me and held my hands in his which I didn't mind even though I had just met him I felt safe with him. After a few minutes of him staring at me and me staring at our hands he cleared his throat and spoke again.
