PROLOGUE
Mama told me stories about werewolves, vampires, and other supernatural creatures when I was five. Of course, I was so impressed by the stories.
Imagine a creature that can live for hundreds of years, has great power, and sounds incredible. Even so, my interest in mythical things only made me mock my other cousins, especially when they were staying at my house, and we all listened to Mama's story, which was a fantasy to them.
When I was so passionate and serious about listening, they preferred to play with their phones while occasionally commenting on Mama's story, which was not real and just a normal fantasy story. However, as I grew older, I realized everything my cousins said was true. My belief that these creatures are real is diminishing, and they're just fairy tales and myths. No one would believe the impossible anyway.
That's wrong. Of course, they do, and humans are so stupid that they take this for granted. They choose to close their eyes and ears about mythical things common sense cannot absorb.
They exist and are real. They are so clever at hiding and mingling with humans living in ignorance that humans are not alone in living on earth. The same is true here. As a teenager, I realized that Mama's story was just one I didn't have to believe.
Even so, I still love stories about these creatures. I read romance fiction novels about supernatural creatures when I have time without schoolwork or exams.
But peaceful human life immediately turns to destruction when supernatural beings considered mythical choose to reveal themselves to the rest of the world, saying that they exist, are real and are superior to humans. Of course, this is a great shock to human life. Humans who have long been at the top of the food chain must shift and be eliminated by the presence of these supernatural creatures.
Vampires, werewolves, faes, sirens, witches, and many other creatures that I have just heard of. This fact disowned humans and declared war on these mythical creatures. Did I mention that humans are stupid, selfish, and greedy creatures? If you haven't, I'm telling you right now that we, as humans, were born with those three things.
I'm not trying to speak ill of humans because I'm human, but it's reality. How can we declare war on a creature born with the gift of man?
The war was inevitable, and when I was sixteen years old, a great war ensued. Humans, who by then had super-advanced warfare weaponry, could not defeat these creatures, especially the Vampires, led by a king. This led to an absolute defeat, which left the human position in a corner. Supernatural beings ruled the government and the military. When I was eighteen, two years after the beginning of the war, the world was officially ruled by supernatural beings.
Putting aside the sad things that happen to humans, there are more important things. A tyrant leads vampires. Have I told you about a vampire led by a tyrant? Vampires are very dangerous creatures, even more dangerous than others. Why?
If other creatures - like werewolves are creatures that still have a conscience and humanity - they can be said to be human. Vampires are monstrous creatures. Monsters born of darkness and demons, who live by sucking human blood and killing humans without compassion, make humans their slaves.
If other creatures want to coexist with humans, then vampires want to rule over humans, and that's what happens. I don't know what happened because my family and I lived in a town that did have the protection of a werewolf pack and was led by an Alpha. Still, surely the world now has one Emperor from the Vampire Empire named Vympre, the Emperor Killian.
Darren Phillipe Killian is the longest-serving emperor of the Vympre empire, and some say five years, ten years, or even a century. He took over the position of Emperor when he was twenty-five years old, the time for Vampire Royal to stop ageing.
Before Emperor Killian took the throne, he fought a great battle with the previous Emperor to determine who deserved to be the leader. Of course, Emperor Killian won the battle. Emperor Killian is one of five pureblood vampires living on Earth.
The story develops that Emperor Killian is the son of a pureblood vampire named Gladius and a female vampire named Sybil. The Emperor's father, Gladius, was the son of Lilith, the queen of demons, who had a relationship with the first pureblood vampire. That's why Emperor Killian has demon blood and is a dangerous man who hates humans so much.
The reason? Because of the human who killed his parents. I heard Lilith raised Emperor Killian until the man grew up and took over the throne.
Rumour has it that Emperor Killian was the most handsome and beautiful man who ever set foot on the earth, with a blue bead as cold as ice brought everyone to their knees in front of him. His godlike face was perfectly sculpted, and his lips were red, of course, all those things to attract the attention of the prey-man.
His good looks, however, do not represent the Emperor's cruelty. Before supernatural beings appeared before humans, life between them and humans was constrained by invisible magic walls. Emperor Killian took advantage of the opportunity by slaughtering humans as a form of revenge for the deaths of his parents and making humans slaves. But since the magic wall was removed.
Emperor Killian no longer hunts and massacres humans brutally, but he does more elegant things by making humans a blood supplier. It's said that Emperor Killian only wants to drink human blood directly from the man himself and suck the man until there's no blood left and die.
Besides, everything about Emperor Killian is a rumour because I've never seen him. I don't want to get involved in the supernatural and choose to live in a pretence. Besides, my house is in a safe place, way out of the reach of those vampires. The Pack that guarded the city I lived in made a deal with the Vympre Empire that the territory of the city I was in, called Bridge Town, was part of the territory pack, Silvermoon Pack.
In the five years since the world became Vampire territory, no one in the empire has ever seen the Emperor smile. Emperor Killian was always flat, cold, and hard. He only shows concern for certain people in his life, and the number of people is decreasing daily. I've heard Emperor Killian has a circle of trusted men, but I'm unsure.
The people of the empire loved and respected him very much. Still, they never resisted or denied his words and commands because they were more concerned with their lives than a common argument. Some other creatures fear the power of the Killian Emperor, but even so, they respect themselves. Because of the Killian Emperor, supernatural beings can live on Earth without hiding.
If you look at it, Emperor Killian has more bad luck. Still, besides that, he is said to have loved the whole empire and its people, and he's willing to give his life for the peace of the empire that he's protected. No one can defeat and kill Emperor Killian because he's no ordinary vampire.
At least now, Emperor Killian is no longer slaughtering humans for revenge or letting go of his anger. The man lived in his luxurious and magnificent palace, away from everyone's radar. It never reveals itself if it's unimportant, and life is back to normal if it's practically normal.
At least if we put aside vampires' cruelty to humans, life can be said to be normal. Humans can return to work even if the only jobs allowed are servants or factory workers.
I stopped going to school because of the change in the world, and I am grateful for living in a safe environment without a vampire. Then, after I went back to school, I started studying the history of supernatural beings, especially since vampires and my desire to be in college finally came true. Now, when I'm twenty-three, I'm sitting in my second year. Studying to be a pastry chef has been my goal since childhood.
During the chaos and changes that have occurred in the world, I live in peace with my family and friends. I'm one of those lucky ones who got werewolf protection from vampires, and all the rules of the Vampire empire didn't apply in our city. Still, I realized one thing: that all this peace would end.
My life in peace would stop at one point, like the finish line, that my life would change, and that change was destiny, and I realized too late.
It all started when I stood in front of him. This is my story of an ordinary human being with the Vampire King Killian.
