Sarah's POV
I feel a vibration on my right thigh, the sound is unbearable and gives me a migraine.. fuck it stop!
I hardly open my eyes, when I see a big hand trying to touch me, I scream in fear and take refuge on the edge of the bed.
My gaze meets the owner of this unknown hand, and my heart begins to beat faster.
What am I doing here ?
"Relax, I mean you no harm" he reassures me in his powerful voice.
I hardly swallow my saliva, everything comes back to me now, my attacker who was trying to rape me, his hand on my throat, this man in a suit who came out of nowhere and then nothing.
He stares at me for a long time, his gaze so intense that I can't support him.
Standing like this he is imposing, almost frightening. He's wearing a navy blue suit that must have cost him a fortune, his white shirt that proudly hugs his firm torso is probably wrinkled because of the other pervert. He has a beard of a few days that perfectly surrounds his full lips, and his icy blue irises staring at me intimidate me to no end.
This man, as attractive as he is, must be in his thirties.
I look down at my poor intertwined hands, when I notice I'm wearing a jacket, or rather this man's jacket, and...my God.
I rush to hide the visible part of my body, uncomfortable with being exposed like this.
Panic overwhelms me very quickly. This man, alias my savior remains unknown, I must leave here and as soon as possible.
"Nothing happened if that's what's bothering you, I was just tending to your wound, you have nothing to worry about"
It was a great help to me but now I have nothing more to do here. I try to get up but I have a terrible headache which does not go unnoticed by the man in the suit.
"Don't move, I'll bring you what you need," he said.
I just nod and he leaves the room.
My cell phone that was in my pocket starts ringing, I take it out and discover that it's my mother, at the same time he comes back with a glass of water and a pill.
"Hold on drink, I'll answer for you" he orders me
I do what he asks me without protesting, my head hurts enough to hear my mother's cries.
"Hello, yes good evening..I.." he begins
He stops short, his eyebrows frown, his body is tense, he stares at me strangely and immediately leaves the room, I don't understand his reaction.
After drinking the medicine, I hardly get out of bed, I hurt everywhere, this scumbag didn't miss his shots.
I close the buttons of the stranger's jacket, I smell the perfume of a man from miles away, the smell is pleasant.
He returns after a few minutes that seemed endless.
He approaches me and hands me my camera while loosening his tie, his face which was relaxed just now expresses nervousness.
"Are you doing well?" I ask
He looks at me surprised by my question.
"Uh yes, your mother was worried, I explained to her that everything is fine" he replies
"Thank you I..I have to go back, thank you for helping me, I'm very grateful to you" I addressed myself shyly.
Not knowing what to do, I walk around him but tense as his warm palm circles my wrist.
"Wait" he said.
My gaze rests on his hand against my skin, he imitates my gesture, and abruptly withdraws his hand.
"I'll walk you home," he finally said.
"No I'll be fine..."
"I'm not asking your opinion" he cuts me off harshly.
No, but who he thinks he is, I stare at him, and he ignores me.
He leaves his room, and I follow immediately.
He crosses a long corridor, then takes the stairs.
His house makes me dizzy, it's gigantic and magnificent.
How does he manage to live here alone?
My poor Sarah, do you really believe that a man like him is single?
I follow him to his parking lot where a black car is parked.
He opens the door for me and I sit quietly, it smells of leather, I'm really doing the job in the face of all this luxury.
The journey is silent, I just tell him the direction to take.
I watch him out of the corner of my eye, the sleeves of his shirt are rolled up at the level of his forearms where a few veins appear, his square jaw clenches and loosens a few times, his male perfume invades this small space, he doesn't There's no denying he's really a handsome man.
His gaze meets mine, I immediately look away casually, luckily it's dark, I must be crimson red.
........
We finally arrive in front of my house, I'm happy to be there, I couldn't stand his presence and this heavy silence.
"Get down" he ordered me
This man is starting to piss me off with his orders, is this how he wants to get rid of me? Dumbass !
I go down as he so kindly asked me to, and I slam the door loudly.
I head for our little house which looks nothing compared to his home.
I tense when I hear his footsteps behind me.
Hey, he hasn't left yet?
I turn around to face him
"Thank you for coming with me, you can go home now" I said calmly.
He blows loudly, and walks around me without a word towards the entrance of my house.
He's gorgeous but annoying, arrogant, and...he just pisses me off!
He knocks on the door, I quicken my pace and stand behind him.
The door opens wide on my mother, her face lights up when she sees Mr handsome, and he immediately twists with worry on seeing me in my pitiful state.
She ushers us in to throw herself on me.
"Sarah my darling, I was so scared" she exclaims, taking me in her arms.
"Mom you're suffocating me" I said grimacing.
She pulls back and cups my face.
"What did he do to your beautiful face?" she asks worried
"I'm fine mum, it's good, moreover it's thanks to this man that I was able to get out of it"
She turns around to face him, the stranger still standing stares at my mother, I realize that she's only wearing a simple black nightgown.
She moves closer to him, and he just pulls her possessively around the waist against his chest.
I take turns looking at them sideways.
"Mom can you explain it to me?" I asked completely lost.
She looks at me hesitantly, he caresses her cheek as if to encourage her to speak.
"Honey, this is David" she begins
David?!...This specimen is called David? okay.
"I met him in the agency where I work, and it was love at first sight for both of us, since then we haven't left each other"
She pauses for a moment then resumes.
"I wanted to tell you but I was waiting for the right moment. We plan to get engaged soon," she said, hugging the man named David.
I swallow my saliva with difficulty, trying to digest what she tells me. But since when does it last? All those evenings when she went out it was to see him. Why hadn't she told me about it earlier? Anger and disappointment begin to rise in me.
She comes closer to me but I step back, my vision blurs, I mustn't cry, not now.
"I hope you'll be much happier with him than with your late husband," I snapped out of myself.
And without further ado, I go up to my room at full speed without any regard to their direction.
