Chapter 10: Rotation

"Guys, let's gather around." Jihyo said.

The other girls came over.

"What's up?" Tzuyu asked, helping Sana.

"If we're going to stay on this island until help comes, we should at least have a rotation."

The girls looked at each other confusingly.

"Rotation for what?" Nayeon asked.

"Rotation for getting stick and food." She explained.

"Mina and Chaeyoung, you two go with Nayeon and Jeongyeon." Jihyo pointed.

"MiChaeng with NaJeong, NaJeongMiChaeng." Chaeyoung smirked.

"Still won't catch on." Nayeon spoke.

Chaeyoung stared at her.

"It'll still be me, Momo and Dahyun." Jihyo said.

"If you say their name, I'm going to hit you." Nayeon holding her fist up.

"Try me." Chaeyoung came back.

Both Mina and Jeongyeon were giggling at their so called 'fight.'

"Is it okay if you stay with Sana, Tzuyu?" Jihyo asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine with it." Tzuyu replied.

The sun was setting.

"Dammit, we have to get a fire going." Jihyo said.

"I found this just laying around." Dahyun gave Jihyo something.

"That's a fire starter, used like a flint and steel." Mina explained.

"You know a lot." Chaeyoung whispered.

"And how am I supposed to use this?" Jihyo was confused.

"You strike the flint with the steel." Mina instructed.

Jihyo did what she said, she struck the two together, creating a spark which made everyone jump.

The girls stood back, watching Jihyo.

"Why are you guys backing off?" Jihyo noticed them.

"Just incase the situation gets worse." Momo said.

Jihyo took a deep breath and struck it again.

Fire was started.

The other girls clapped.

"This thing is useful." Momo said.

"Don't you dare use it on a tree." Sana warned her.

"I wasn't going to."

Sana glared at her.

"Can I say something." Everyone turned to Mina.

"You can't just find these everywhere, there're emergency fire starters, carried by campers."

"Your point is?" Tzuyu said.

"Maybe there someone on this island, looking at the marks on the fire starter it looks like it's been used before." Mina explained.

"Wow, Mina with the knowledge." Chaeyoung smiled.

"Then why is it here?" Dahyun asked.

"Maybe they lost it." Sana said.

"Well who ever it is, might be off this island or dead." Jeongyeon said.

"You don't know that." Sana answered.

The girls stayed awake for a while.

"This has gotten us closer." Nayeon said.

"I know right, never thought I would get along with you guys." Momo agreed.

"I say we should always tell the truth and never lie to each other." Dahyun said with a happy smile on her face.

The others agreed and promised each other.

"Let's just sleep for the night." Jihyo spoke.

The girls nodded and drifted off to sleep.
