05 - A fake boyfriend

In an instant, Genevieve began to experience the onset of cold feet.

Not when his new fiancée was around, she was aware that Henry would never bring up her father or his foolish offer of her becoming his mistress in this setting. She knew that Henry would never do any of those things.

She responded with a few congrats from individuals who were near them, and Penelope waved around the enormous diamond ring that Henry had undoubtedly thrown on her finger a few hours after he had dumped Genevieve.

Look, who is in this place? Penelope spoke out in a voice that was so loud that it drew the attention of everyone.

In the span of less than 10 minutes, Genevieve began to utter a curse directed at her destiny for the second time.

Aww, it seems like someone is unable to deal with being rejected. Henry laughed out loud. Despite the fact that it caused Genevieve to feel disgusting, Penelope was loudly laughing about it.

Nevertheless, Penelope arrived to interrupt her and said, "Henry wanted me to inquire as to whether or not both of you would be interested in playing a foursome with us." It would be a lot of fun."

The shift in this woman's demeanor was so remarkable that Genevieve could not believe it. She was being arrogant and disrespectful to Genevieve only a few seconds earlier, but now she is behaving all nice like if they used to be friends. Genevieve is surprised by her latest behavior.

On the other hand, there was no doubt that Penelope was up to no good.

"Are you able to play at all?" Again, he questioned her, and she responded by shaking her head. From this point on, it was preferable to be truthful rather than to disgrace both of them.

"Don't be concerned; I will play for both of us," she said. Just make sure you do a good job." He continued with a wink, and Genevieve was eager to inquire about her role in the conversation.

In spite of the fact that everyone was assembled to witness their match, Genevieve was still quite anxious. She was aware that Henry had recommended the match because he was aware that she was not in possession of golfing skills and that she was not seeing Adrian at the time that he had just ended his relationship with her three days earlier.

It was all a ruse to humiliate her, and she is confident that they will be successful in their endeavor.

After taking a deep breath, Genevieve let out a nervous giggle and then started to attempt to place her very first ball. To assist her in maintaining a more advantageous posture, Adrian moved closer to the location where she was standing.

"All you needed to do to get my attention if you were so desperate for it was to ask for it. It is not necessary to go any farther in order to bring me into competition with the gazes of other guys today. The only one who could hear Adrian's voice was her, and then he assisted her in holding the club in the proper position. Genevieve was unsure whether or not she had successfully heard him, and the proximity between them was having a greater impact on her mental state than she would ever confess.
